Had a guitar setup on my Gibson completed by Mike today. I am very satisfied with the result. Suffice it to say, he knows what he is doing and was able to nail down my fret-buzz issue to some uneven frets. The issue was remedied as I watched, which was really cool. I dont think this guitar played this well or sounded this good even when it was brand new. His pricing was very reasonable for the amount of time, effort, and work put into the setup. As for the store itself, it is a decent size with good selection for all sorts of musicians. Employees are friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Great place and great people. Yancey is the best place to go for instruments and accessories. We are working on our third instrument through their rental program. They have been very courteous and patient as our daughters have worked their way through band classes. The rental program is second to none. They help to make sure that you get a quality instrument and all the accessories and support you need. The rental also includes damage and loss insurance. I love this place.

The employees of Yancey Music are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Within seconds of entering the store, an employee was helping me find what I needed. During the entire transaction, she maintained a friendly yet professional conversation. Despite the fact that it was only minutes until the store closed, neither employee seemed impatient with my request. This will be my store of choice for future purchases.

Taking girls to music lessons. One guitar and one ukelele for smaller one. While waiting I asked questions about other instruments and some things to see what they did. Great service to the girls for lessons and my questions.Great variety of instruments, music, and very easy to find.Next visit revealed they give lessons on all their instruments except banjo and harmonica. Lessons for all ages.

Staff was really nice and knowledgeable! They didnt seem to carry Fender and Gibson guitars though, but the G&L stuff is very comparable. I bought a capo from them but it was a couple bucks cheaper on Amazon. No problem! Support your local businesses

Worst customer experience of my life. I was just there about 30 minutes ago from the writing of this review. I was the guy that walked in with a busted Martin Co X1 series Acoustic Guitar. I was told to come and see you Guys by Joe at Guitar Attic. I stood in line at the counter and there was a customer in-front of me. The Guy behind the counter had grey hair, tined glasses and was B.S-ing. with the Guy in front of me which I thought was fine as they were talking about great musicians but then they kept going, talking about what musician was playing with what musician and how those musicians live the life playing and smoking reefer all day. Dont get me wrong, I get it, Im in a musical shop, old hippies, etc. but I am in line waiting at this point for at least two minutes and theres no sign of them stopping nor any acknowledgment of me waiting.I gave the benefit of the doubt and went to go check out the drum section and then check out the keyboards. I lightly played one of the keyboards and then came back to stand in line which by then was an additional 2 -3 extra minutes and still they were talking. I gave them the benefit of the doubt again and I waited a couple more minutes and still no acknowledgment. A few minutes after that, a Guy walks in with a Banjo and his Girlfriend. They started to stand behind me and the Guy behind the counter instantly acknowledges them, proceeds to stop B.S-ing. with the previous customer and helps them by coming out from behind the counter but still no acknowledgment of my presence nor the fact that I was next in line.I should have said something but I was more stunned than anything at the whole situation. Im usually a huge advocate for the Smaller musical stores but my experience with Yancey Musics customer service was bad, really bad, pathetic to be quite frank.Every business is entitled to run their business however they want, but I doubt Ill ever be back. Its a shame too, seeing how Joe from Guitar Attic which was a really cool guy, recommended I come see you about repair for the Martin Co. Guitar.Lesson learned, take my business elsewhere which is a major Bummer, as youre my Neighborhood music store.

Yancey over charges for their rentals. We sent our trumpet to get repair estimate through them. They said they could call us with a price. They didnt. We received a call 4 weeks later it was completed, 108.00. The job was done terribly.

Yancey was instrumental, pun intended, in helping us get a great deal on and Ibanez Acoustic/Electric guitar that our Calvary Chapel Flagler Beach gave away at the Creekside Festival in 2014. Our free raffle attracted tons of attention and made attendance and distribution of Operation Christmas Shoeboxes for Samaritans Purse, the highest ever for a single event. We got a guitar, case, strings, strap and picks for less than the best price I found on the internet and it was all in the store. Its a well stocked store with experienced and knowledgeable staff. You should at least check it out before you make a buying decision.
