Last year I had a landscape designer develop plans for my back yard. They did a lot of the work then, but due to budgeting, the patio cover was not part of the work. Earlier this year I was able to use some saved money to finally add the patio cover. Unfortunately, the quotes were a bit high. I had seen companies list Alumawood kits for the DIY market and figured I had enough building skill to take it on. I contacted a few different companies about ordering a kit and got several replies. One common point from all the quotes was that the patio cover would be manufactured about 15 miles from my house. I could pick it up and save money on delivery.Before committing to any one company, my wife and I compared the quotes and saw there were somewhat drastic price differences between them. I was surprised to see about a 15-20% difference in them for the same product. Ultimately we went with the lowest price because all were offering the same product made at the same factory. Try-Tech is not a local company to me, they are about 450 miles away.Try-Tech industries offered the lowest price with the guarantee of lifetime support. I’ve taken advantage of this by reaching out to James for clarification on design and assembly. He has replied quickly and given several options for doing what I need to.Because of Try-Tech and James, I saved close to $3,000 by investing my time to put it all together. This also allowed me to be obsessive about every detail and measurement on the patio cover.I’ve recommended Try-Tech to several co-workers who are looking to get patio covers and offered to help build them.

We are thrilled with how our Newport patio cover from Try-Tech turned out. James and Heather were outstanding to work with. James kept in touch the entire time, from the design and engineering stages, right up until the last fastener was installed.This was a true DIY-friendly experience.

Wish I could give them negative stars!!! We have tried several times to get a quote from these people, with no luck. Whats the trick to get a response? Ive even left SEVERAL voicemail messages with no return call. My husband was pretty excited to find this company, but not happy with the service.VERY DISAPPOINTED!

From the first phone call to the finished project, Try-Tech has been top notch. James truly understands that for him to be successful, his customers have to be successful and happy. Mission accomplished. Materials were delivered on time as promised and James was always available with tips and advice when needed. The Texas sun can really beat down this time of the year. I purchased a 15x22 Alumawood Newport, solid cover, non-insulated patio cover over 17 years ago and I still love it! Keeps the sun and rain off me year round so I can enjoy my patio even when the weather is not so perfect. I recently gave it a thorough washing with a bucket and sponge for the very first time and was amazed at how well it looks. I usually just spray it off. Of course there is no rot, rust or bug infestation, and the paint has not peeled or flaked anywhere. It looks as if it is only a year or two old.I picked this up at their former location in Sacramento and installed with some help to get frame set up. The rest I did myself. I highly recommend this product. Too bad I cant say the same about the redwood fence around my property that I have to keep fixing every couple of years.

Heather and James were a joy to work with. Very helpful from start to finish. They helped with measurements & style preference over the phone along with assembly questions throughout the process. The awning looks great & has made our back patio another room all year round. The project is a DIY project although way out of my league. I asked a younger handy person to put it together & he completed it in 3 days. Again, a great product & a great business to work with 😀👍🏻

We are very pleased with the customer service we received from Try- Tech Industries. James was very prompt and helpful with all of our questions we had during the purchase and installation process. We felt very comfortable with the amount of knowledge and expertise he had. The alumawood awning exceeded our expectations, it has given us a beautiful shaded second living space to entertain and relax under. We couldnt be happier with Try- Tech Industries and our awning.

James is knowledgeable but getting back to you either before or definitely after the sale is not a priority. I think they need to employ another sales person.
