Having read the owners response to other reviews I have concluded that my experience with this company was not an isolated event.I ordered a hot tub cover back in late August and was told via email that it would arrive at my home on October 21st. I thought yeah it’s Covid times and all that would be fine (price $1200+). Just to cover my bases I contacted the company late September to confirm the October 21st delivery and was informed that it was indeed on schedule and that someone from my home would have to be home to receive the cover. All good so far…..Earlier today (October 21), around 1600hrs I had still not received the cover. I phoned the company and was informed that the owner would be in contact as soon as possible. The Owner (York Sikora) phoned back and was immediately rude over the phone. I explained to him that I was directed to be home to receive the cover. But the Owner then told me that my cover was not going to be shipped until a much later date (mid-November). I explained to him that I had been proactive and called ahead to make sure that my cover would be delivered that day, Mr. Sikora continually talked over me and would not allow me to explain what had happened. As the call progressed Mr. Sikora insinuated that I was a “liar” and that I was never told it would be delivered today. I have an official email from the company stating October 21 as a delivery day and also a voice conversation with one of his employees confirming October 21. Mr. Sikora seemed very agitated on the phone and was very abrasive with how he dealt with me. When asked why Mr. Sikora called me a “liar” he abruptly ended the conversation with, “You are done, you are not getting a hot tub cover!” As he hung up the phone.I understand with Covid everything is a bit delayed and things take more time. Covid is no excuse for how this man dealt with a customer service issue. If this is how the owner of this company handles himself I would like all to be known that you should take your business elsewhere. The price of the cover was in excess of $1000 I would expect better customer service than this.Do yourself a favour and find another company with better customer service. Mr. Sikora has very poor customer service skills and for that I will never be a customer to his outfit.

After fighting with a hot tub soon after moving to a new house [and similarly fighting with another company over that tub], I was a little skeptical when a friend recommended I speak with Hot Tubs Ottawa. My skepticisms were raised when my initial email didnt get a prompt response, but a brief follow-up on my end resulted in a thorough phone conversation, leading to a very timely diagnostics appointment, which subsequently led to a very timely repair visit.The technician was incredibly knowledgeable and very willing to offer his unabated opinion, which any tub owner should readily desire [what good does sugar-coating facts do for me when it could lead to me doing something wrong, or failing to do something I should do?]. The issue was quickly identified, and when the subsequent issue was identified at the same time the response was professional and prompt.The only complaint I could claim to have was potentially on the administrative side of things, but I understand that many businesses have had some difficulties during the pandemic trying to hire-and-retain solid office support, so I dont hold that against them. Whats more, the one administrative issue was resolved in my favour, meaning I wasnt actually put out because of the minor oversight on the companys part: Nobody should judge a company by a standard of perfection, but by how they act in the face of a shortcoming, and HTO performed splendidly. Ultimately, no complaint remained, and as such I am confident in my 5-star rating.The pricing was incredibly good [especially compared to some other big-named competitors], the service was professional and solid, and the tips given are definitely going to be acted upon.I would recommend HTO to anyone who needs professional assistance or handiwork with their spa, 10 times out of 10, and I will definitely be calling them in the future if I ever need further assistance!
I have called 4 times and left messages requesting a return call. I was hopeful to source an Ottawa business to purchase my chemicals. Purchasing the items will continue on Amazon I guess. Answering your phone is a very important attribute to obtain new business. An answering service is fine if I get a return call. Ownership should really look at the business model. Even though it’s 2021, a phone is still a viable way to obtain new business and keep current business.
We are xtremely satisfied with the purchase from Hot Tubs Ottawa. We had a couple of warranty issues at first, but they were able to repair and service us immediately for no charge. They stand by their product. Highly recommend.

Reviewing hottubstuff.com which looks like the online entity of Hot Tubs Ottawa... Placed order for a hot tub skin replacement on June 7, 2020. Order said 4-8 weeks.I understand there is a pandemic and some things would take a bit longer, but.... the order took over 5 months to arrive... a tad longer than 4-8 weeks!!! Customer service is something to be desired here... yes they responded quickly when inquired, but I had never received an update without reaching out first as to why it has taken months. Or an accurate estimate of the products arrival. Actually told a couple of more weeks on several occasions.When I asked if things could be sped up so that I didnt have to install the skin in the middle of winter, I was told that for an extra $100 they could use overnight courier. Really? whether the issue was with their supplier or their order taking... when the delay is this long, you expedite at your own expense!!

Ordered never received cover. Called talked to overseas call center, no help there. Scam!Edit after reply: your call center is overseas, so they are little more than a live answering machine. - but thanks for letting everyone know how top notch your customer service is.
Terrible service! Bad attitude and very rude to customers after sales. Ordered a hot tub in June from them, was told it would arrive in 8-10 weeks. It never arrived, and could never reach anyone on the phone for an update. After 5 months of waiting and still no updates as to the arrival of our tub, we had had enough. They claimed the pandemic was slowing production across the board, BUT they had hot tubs in stock if we wanted to pay them an additional $3,000 for a lesser quality tub!! Had to issue a chargeback with our credit card to get our money back as they would not refund (they tried to charge us a cancellation fee- which we refused to pay), when that did not work they tried to charge us for something we never received! When spending this kind of money, customer service goes a long way. They just blame the customer, with no accountability.

I was completely lost in what was going on with my hot tub and they provided immediate assistance.They came to fix it and showed full knowledge of what was going on. They are vey reliable people and show big interest in their clients spending only the necessary money.When I called they were always available to pick up the phone and answer all my questions.I am always happy to find honest and professional people, like in this case. York is amazing! Best customer service I came across, and provides top quality products.In the search for my tub I drilled him with every question imaginable and challenged him about his products versus other brands. He answered everything thoroughly, providing me the information to make the best decision for me. When I was on the fence about the good enough tub versus the bells and whistles tub (what I called them) he never once tried to pressure me to spend more money. I purchased the Santiago from him, and this tub is amazing!!! The layout and design, power of jets, functionality, etc. And when I had a few more questions after a few days of using it he came out and spent the time with me to teach me little tricks and go through everything. I am a tough customer, and he made me an incredibly happy customer. Thank you York

We have used Hot Tubs Ottawa Inc twice now for hot tub parts. The first part we purchased was a mother board and the second was a new pump. On both purchases, York, the owner was extremely helpful getting us the correct parts for our tub. The five stars are not for the parts, they are for the awesome service that followed. The mother board has changed since our tub was manufactured and the connection were far from plug and play. We wanted to replace them ourselves as we are out of town and we were trying to save on repair cost. York walked us through the complete installation over the phone till everything was up and running. When it came to the pump, we were having an issue, again York was just a text away. He even replaced the pump as it was defective. Please note, our tub was not even purchased from him. One thing is for sure, my next tub will definitely come from York..GREAT SERVICE!!!! Thank you so much.
Long overdue for writing a review. Purchased a swim spa from York a year ago and still super happy with the purchase. Have always received friendly service whenever I had questions - York answered them all quickly. The tech that came out twice for a simple warranty issue was also super friendly.
I have contact this company numerous times for parts and hot tub help that I couldn’t even come close to finding the answer for online.York has helped me with such a quick call back and also helping my over heating tub! His advice worked like a charm in 5 minutes.I recommend this company for all your needs and I will absolutely recommend calling if your repairing your tub yourself and need answers! Very impressed with Hot Tubs Ottawa. I called many places in the Prescott, Brockville and Kemptville area ( I live in North Augusta) and was told they are very busy and would take a few weeks to a month to fix my hot tub and some places still havent returned my call from over a few weeks ago. I called Hot Tub Ottawa and they came and fixed my Hot Tub only 2 days after my call. Wes was very knowledgeable and nice. It cost a little more because of how far we are located to ottawa (100 kms) but well worth the quick service and to have our hot tub up and running to enjoy.
Talked with numerous hot tub companies only to be told they could not help with finding the correct custom cover for a hot tub we inherited. Finally, Hot Tubs Ottawa Inc. saved the day! They were so helpful and prompt- something their competitors were not. A true pleasure to work with!
We had a great experience when we purchased our new hot tub from Hot Tubs Ottawa. We had a lot of questions before and after purchasing it and York very quickly, was able to provide us with all the answers. It has been a couple of months now and we are loving our new tub and the service not to mention the money we saved by not going to one of the big pool places in town. Thanks again York!

Extremely horrible service.I waited 2 hours past the scheduled time for my service technician. When I called to enquire and explain my dissatisfaction, they cancelled my tech immediately without even offering me a discounted price due to THEIR TARDINESS.Never use this company... They are a fraud and no nothing about servicing customers.Make sure to read all the reviews carefully before contacting them !!
After finding out that the large dealer I purchased my spa was no longer a Coast Spa franchisee, a recent major breakdown left me wondering if my spa was about to become a large paperweight; a pretty lousy feeling when your tub isnt that old and the temperature out side is dropping!I made two calls to other dealers but I soon realized they were more interested in selling me a new spa than fixing mine. Luckily my third call was to York at Hot Tubs Ottawa. I told him of my situation and he started to provide me with potential affordable solutions within minutes. He said they can obtain parts for nearly all spas and was very familiar with my brand. I had a number of other questions too and he gave me answers my former dealer never answered. I decided to place a repair order and Im very happy to report that my tub was affordably fixed within a few days!When I casually mentioned that I had a concern about the smell of bromine he said that he had an excellent product that would help and sent me a free sample. Weve tried it and have never enjoyed our spa so much! Looks like I have a new hot tub guy!
It was a AWFUL experience with this company! The technician came 8 hours LATER than the scheduled one, without any valid explanation. I had to call them several times to see whats happening.AFTER the repair, the technician left, I started to fill my hot tub and the water was leaking!!! I called them right away and the same technician came back to fix it ONLY the next morning!!! No excuses, nothing. They offered no discount on the final bill for the day I lost with them and my flooded backyard! I had to ask for it... Really a poor service! Avoid them! Not a trustworthy company!

We purchased a Dynasty Caspian 42 spa from York in 2009 when he owned Sub Zero Hot Tubs and Pool Tables. Now, reinvented as Hot Tubs Ottawa Inc. we have purchased various parts from York, and sought his advice on a repair issue we are still having with our spa. After having one of his affiliated technicians come to assess our spa, we had to negotiate the bill with York, as the tech was only at our home for 10 minutes and did not perform any repairs as our GFCI was kaput.York attempted to charge us the full amount of service call, but did adjust the bill from $168 to $108, once we stated why we disagreed with paying the full amount. Our GFCI is being replaced by an electrician this weekend, but York contacted us today via e-mail to state that Hot Tubs Ottawa Inc. could not longer assist us with any of our hot tub service/support or parts moving forward, but he has the parts in stock, which he knows we need for the repair.We attempted to reach York for further explanation, but nothing from him. Seems very odd from a business who prides themselves on repair to older hot tubs, especially given that York is the only authorized Dynasty service and support company currently in Ottawa.-----------------------------The facts of our customer response to owner Yorks posting:Assistance was provided by York via e-mail and phone, prior to service call being booked, and he informed us customers of the price, including one hour of labour.* York was informed via e-mail, that tech arrived at 9:24.52 and left at 9:36.15, via the time stamp on customers outdoor security cameras system (~10 minutes).* GFCI was deemed to be defective, fuses were tested and technician did not do any other work, despite the fact that 2 gaskets on the working pump could have been replaced with all power off, since one hour of labour was included. Technician provided no invoice or asked customers to sign.* Rates were explained, BUT not that the same rate is charged if a technician is only working for a 10 minutes and leaves.* Customer called 3 other spa dealers to get a discreet opinion of this charge, and was informed that they all would bill 1/2 hour labour.* In so much that the customer argued about rates -- one (1) e-mail was sent enquiring, and a second (2) sent suggesting the half hour rate, based on what other spa companies would have charged, plus travel of course, based on the notion of fair value for service provided. York immediately agreed to this.* Customer paid York immediately after this and asked to schedule pump installation (and pump purchase) at full rate, as York had item in stock. Approximately one hour after receiving payment, York sent an e-mail stating that no further service, parts or assistance could be provided by Hot Tubs Ottawa, despite being the only Dynasty dealer in the area.* GFCI was replaced by licensed electrician, and new pump ordered from supplier in Toronto, while pump unions and gaskets, will be ordered from Dynasty in Kentucky. Customer will be using nearby, reputable pool and spa company to install new pump.
Awful experience with this company!! They sent me 2 seperate invoces; one was for a service charge 200$ for 10 minutes of work and the other telling me there were no charges because they couldnt access the problem. They said that they sent that one by mistake (yah right!!!)
