Max and James worked hard to hunt down the exact vehicle I was looking for, even during these challenging times they did a fabulous job accommodating my request as well as a fair negotiation process. Justin was able to wrap up the finance side of things and explained things well to me. I traded a lease from another brand and dealership from out of province, so things werent as straight forward as they might normally be.Overall a very friendly staff, a much better experience than my previous brand. Also, the car is great, love it!
Terrible experience, don’t recommend the service department. Got my 2021.5 CX-5 Signature at the end of July, recently the infotainment system rebooted on its own while I was driving. Took my car to the dealer last week, I was told they repaired my car by updating the system. But it is still happening. And after I called and questioned why it still happens, after a few backs and forward conversations, the service clerk eventually said, it has nothing to do with him, he just transfers the information between me and the technician. Made another appointment today, I was told they couldnt reproduce the issue and asked me to keep an eye on it and try one thing if it happens again, and it happens again tonight. I was also being told if they couldnt reproduce the issue, they couldnt do anything and couldnt fix the issue, what a great way to push the responsibility to the customer. After todays appointment, it seems some of the car settings got changed, called again and a lady asked to go back and they will figure it out. The service clerk who served in the morning did come out and no one knows what got changed, even though the technicians on site, because the original technician who troubleshoots my car left for the day. After all this, I got yelled by the service clerk and left me alone in the parking lot eventually. what is a great service they provided here.
Cant recommend the service department at Barrhaven Mazda. Here is my story.Brought my Mazda CX-9 for service due to the noise while driving. Told service staff that suspect wheel bearing issue (had that before).After inspection ($67+tax) they recommended to change ball bearings on ALL FOUR WHEELS! Quoted $2,624+tax.And I was told that they couldnt detect which bearing is the most noisy.Likelihood that all bearings gone bad at once is very low, so I took my car to another garage, which easily identified that the front bearings are the noisy ones and need to be changed, which was done for less than $800. The noise is gone now.So make your conclusions... Mine is that they easily recommend unnecessary repairs. This time I was able to understand the issue, in most other cases I wouldnt be.
Excellent dealership, the atmosphere was friendly and inviting, and at no point did I feel rushed. Shopping for a new car can be stressful but I found the team at Barrhaven Mazda did all they could to eliminate this stress. The sales person was very knowledgeable and I was presented will a full and complete quote (unlike other dealers who just came back with a heres the bi-weekly/monthly amount you will pay quote). An honest exchange with the sales manager left me feeling I got a good deal for a quality vehicle and the rest of the transaction and subsequent vehicle pickup a few days later went very smoothly.
I purchased a 2017 CX5 at Barrhaven Mazda and up until recently I have been quite pleased with the previous service manager and staff.Unfortunately that has changed and now I would strongly recommend not purchasing a vehicle or having a vehicle serviced at Barrhaven Mazda.I am on my 3rd defective battery, 3rd being replaced a year ago and it is now cooked. As the warranty on the vehicle is expired it will cost me for a replacement even though the current battery is only a year old and there is obviously a problem.The service manager seems to think the blame is low mileage and lack of use? I am not a mechanic however am mechanically inclined. In winter months I agree with the service manager in summer 30c sorry I do not. The vehicle requires charging after only 2 days of no use. Furthering I intentionally take the vehicle for a drive to prevent premature brake replacement due to rust and also to charge the battery as I am aware there is a low constant draw on the battery.I can’t understand why there is no warranty on the 3rd battery even though the vehicle warranty has expired. There is VERY obviously an overlooked problem that was not rectified while under warranty!At Barrhaven Mazda the customer comes last, find another dealer

Have had great service in the past. Today I went in with my remote starter not working. It is barely 4 years old but out of warranty. First they told my dad that I had dropped it in water and would be 187 for the part and 130 for labour. When I called back to let them know it has never been dropped and there is not a mark on it. In fact, it worked up to a month ago when the batteries needed to be replaced and they replaced them, they told me that it was just one of those things that go sometimes and then quoted me 187 part and 65 for labour. So not even the same quote my dad got. I have had all of my cars services done there but wont any longer. WIll continue to get oil changes down but that is only because they are free. Will recommend to family to go elsewhere. They dont stand behind their products.

I had a personal experience with the Barrhaven Mazda dealership. They were friendly and helpful in finding me a brand new car.However, it did take them a long time to communicate anything back to me, they didnt let me know that I was going to get the vehicle and I had to call them back time and time again to get information.When I finally got my vehicle, they had forgotten to put the paint protection so I had to return to get that fixed. But I noticed a scratch on it the first day that went straight down to the metal and all they did was use a paint pen on it that just covers it up a little bit but doesnt really fix the gouge it has left in the paint.Overall very satisfied but disappointed in their lack of communication and the gouge that has been left on my vehicle.

Update - I’m improving my previous rating of two stars because my last few visits with the service team have been excellent, without pushing for things I don’t need. I still wish I didn’t do the extended warranty...My sales experience back in May was pleasant enough though in hindsight I wish I didn’t bother with the third-party extended warranty which was a waste of money m in my opinion - covers all electronics but not the heated seats?!....but it’s the service department that I take major issue with.Every time I bring it in for a “free” aka pre-paid by adding cost to the initial cost of the vehicle, they try to up-sell like crazy. I understand that all dealerships do this to a degree but this morning when I dropped it off they said you’re here for your annual service. I’m like no, simply an oil change. Oh that’s weird you’re booked for a brake inspection, alignment etc. So I showed the confirmation of my online booking that literally said “just an oil change” and he tried to brush it off (besides who gets an alignment during the worst of pothole season)They also push services at way earlier Kilometres than the manual recommends, like 100,000km early. Every time I come here I feel like they are trying to take advantage of me. Is it because I’m a woman? It’s brutal. Why do people put up with this from dealerships? I’m at the point now where I think I’d rather just pay for my oil changes at a place that is at least somewhat honest.Bottom line - read your manual and if you can, get a second opinion from someone you trust.

Excellent location, easy to get on the highway and test drive the car if youre doing a lot of highway driving. Been to quite a few dealers in both Toronto and Ottawa looking for the perfect car, but the folks here made things simple and easy to buy a car, and even put on winter tires on the car without me having to ask (car came with two sets of tires), which was a pleasant surprise. Special thanks to James Wu, and Dawn MacKillop, and also their dealership Manager. James is great to deal with and answered questions like a champ, and Dawn is excellent at providing finance offers you simply wont get anywhere else, and she also has the add ons if you want them and they are well priced and you can pick and choose whatever suits your needs. Would I shop here again? Yes! Would I buy a car here again? Yes!! Would I recommend them? Yes!!!
Bought a vehicle here took it for a test drive all was well, came back a few days later to pick it up after financing and what not had been completed. During that time between test drive and pick-up they had hit something when backing up created a small crack and scratches/scruffs in rear fender. Instead of coming out right and mentioning they stood back upon final inspection and let me find it myself. Due to circumstances I didnt have time to argue with them. In the end it cost me $800 from a local bodyshop to have it repaired. Will never buy a car from the dilawari group again.
Awful customer service.When I picked up my new Mazda 3 there was a damage on the rear seat, I asked the dealer to fix it and it was not fixable, therefore the dealer commited to replace the seat. Six month later they have not replace the seat and the only thing they say is there is a back order and you must waitAdditionally I got a lifetime oil change for my Mazda 3 and they always want to charge you anything extra when the maintenance only includes the oil change.I wont do business with this dealer anymore!

Went in looking at a CX9 on a Monday after work. We are already Mazda owners. We were also the only customers during our visit.They couldnt start the car that was blocking the test drive car. Test car was very low on gas. One tire was low. After the test drive, we walked back into the dealership and waited another 10 minutes for any salesperson to speak with us. The one who came on the test drive was parking the car. He said he was new-couldnt answer any questions about the car. Couldnt tell us what the interest rate for financing was. No glossy brochures or breakdown of which models came with which upgrades. Would not tell us the price of the car. He wandered off, and we waited 15 minutes for him to come back. We decided to leave. We had been there for over an hour and still didnt even know how much the car was! As we were leaving, we saw him talking to a financing guy in an office. Finance guy was angry we were leaving. We asked them to call when they sorted themselves out. The next day we bought a mid-level model at another dealership. Took 45 minutes including a test drive and approval for financing. Never got a call from Barrhaven Mazda.

We really enjoyed getting our new (to us) Mazda three at this dealership. Raj was great to work with. Hes good-natured and patient with a sense of humour. This was a 5 star review, however, based on my most recent (and definitely final) interaction here, I have modified it to 1 star.I had brought my car in because water had started collecting in my trunk due to a faulty seal. A part was to be ordered in August. I waited a couple months, since it was Covid and I was trying to be understanding. I called to check in and had to leave a message, which I never got a call back on. I decided to call and try one last time to get this taken car of. Turns out, according to the gentleman I spoke to that no one bothered to order the part. Finally we got it all sorted, and I brought my car in. I also mentioned that I would like them to take a look at the spare, since it had been sitting in water so often to make sure it was still usable.I picked up my car and drove the 45 minutes home and took a look in the trunk. There was still water in with the spare, so I attempted to take it out to dry everything properly. The fastener for the spare wouldnt release and allow me to take out the tire. After about 30 minutes of trying, I gave a call to the service desk. The service desk attendant when to talk to the technician (Danny) that worked on my car to get tips on how I might get the tire out. The hot tip he gave the attendant was: Righty tighty, lefty loosey. Wow, I would never have thought of that, thank you so much for your condescending advice!I am lucky that I live with someone who has power tools, as my roommate had to use multiple to take off the fastener. What Danny had done was actually cross thread the rusty bolt into the whole to hold the tire without removing any of the buildup. If I had just assumed the job was done well and ended up with a flat, I would be stuck on the side of the road due to Danny doing a partial job.The service desk attendant was the only shining star of my experience, she was friendly, quick and professional.

Kanata Mazda provided me a quote and after going in to test drive upping that quote by 30$ a month(with no offer to honor and actually telling me no Mazda dealership in Canada could match) I opted to look else where.I called Barrhaven, went in the following day, sent them the quote and they met it within a couple dollars, we signed the deal and it was done, i didnt even need to test drive as I new the 2020 CX5 was for me! Devin, the salesperson who helped me, was excellent. He offered some good insight into the car, but also some honest comparisons to and discussion of similar models from other companies. Devin feels like a car guy working as a salesman, which - to me - is better than a salesman posing as a car guy. There was respectful and friendly interaction with him throughout my visit - its one of the few times I havent minded having a dealer rep along with me during a test drive.

Poor after sales service and fake promises! The dealership do suggest that their after sales services are good etc. but it is all a false. They know the only important thing that matters is to push consumers into buying a product and anything else you do is wastage of money. Hence, the standards are extremely poor and one often feels cheated and dejected. I bought a new vehicle from barhaven Mazda and they havent contacted me single time. I was also promised various benefits before purchasing a vehicle. For instance, lifetime free oil change service. I contacted them to arrange an appointment but negative responses, not today, tomorrow is busy, we are full. They further told me to contact their sister dealership. In the end, I did somewhere else on my own. Just want to say, think twice before you visit and think thrice before you purchase.

I bought a used car the service was good they were very welcoming till we got to Eli office finance department he talk to us about putting insurance on the car $2000 and ten minute after we decided to remove and he told us it was to late at home i call the insurance company but in reality we had 10 day to take it off he lied to us as soon as we walk in that door that night before he called he wanted to put a rust proofing he charge $1300.00 we did he even know about it that cause the price to go up #3300,00 more that was expected I will not recommend no one to deal with place please go somewhere else
