Im brand new to the cycling world, so picking out a solid entry-level bike seemed a little intimating to me. However, as soon as I walked through the door Jeff put me at ease. He was incredibly friendly and professional, and answered every question I had, no matter how basic or silly it was. He helped me pick out the perfect bike and he and John had it put together that very same day! I cant thank the guys at Ottawa Bike and Trail enough for their patience and their expertise. I certainly wont be going anywhere else for anything biking related and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new bike or that are just getting into cycling like me.

If you’re into bikes and in Ottawa, this is a must stop. The shop has a good atmosphere, plenty of bikes and all the essentials to go with them. If you like coffee or disc golf, this is a good stop for you too. Awesome ownership and a knowledgeable staff makes this a top notch local bike shop!

Just recently bought my first gravel bike, Jamis Renegade. Jeff was great to work with. I chatted with him about what I was looking for and he matched me up with the Renegade. He was in the Olathe area where I live and we met up so I could try it out. That saved me a 1hr round trip and I can say Im very pleased with the bike. I will be heading down from time to time for his group rides.

Jeff, John and, of course, Deeks, provide some of the best customer service around! You can really tell they love what they do! I highly recommend stopping in to check out their selection of bikes and accessories! They service/repair bikes in-house as well!!! We have enjoyed doing business with them for a couple of years now and highly appreciate having such a great shop in our area! They are also active in the local community, offering more resources to help keep our community active and healthy! They plan and execute rides weekly and assist with other initiatives to keep our community healthy. Great asset to our community!

Ive been going to Ottawa Bike and Trail since they opened a couple of years ago. Jeff and Jon have treated me like family and have built an inclusive biking community for Ottawa. Ive bought and traded several bikes and always got a great deal, and the service work has been exemplary. By far the best experience ive had out of the Topeka, Lawrence, or KC shops ive visited in the past.

Jeff and John are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The shop is well stocked. They are doing an amazing job building and contributing to the community.

Great place to shop and learn about bicycles! They are good at fixing them too. Great group ride and Waffles on Sat. They have the best guard dog and there is a brewery, pie shop and ice cream store just down the street. Oh, and the Prairie Spirit and Flint Hills trails are right outside their back door!

Midtown Kansas City is where I live, and is almost an hour away from Ottawa, KS. There are plenty of great bike shops near me, but Ottawa Bike and Trail is my go-to. I cant say enough good things about them.Update: after purchasing a new bike from this shop, I wish I could add stars. The staff was knowledgeable and answered all my dumb questions, and helped pick out a bike that I feel is perfectly suited to me. Plus, the new shop dog (Deeks) will do pretty much anything for pets.

Neat little shop. Owners are extremely nice. Appear to have a good selection to choose from. Have been involved with the community and the local and not so local rides. Even in the worst of weather. Quick to help out where they can.

I purchased my bike shortly after Ottawa Bike and Trail opened. I purchased a Jamis DXT Sport model. I couldnt be happier. The disk brakes are extremely responsive and I love the front suspension that I can lock or unlock at the turn of a knob. Ive used my bike exclusively on the Flint Hills Trail. With the new opening of the Trail Head at the Karl E Cole sports complex off of 12 st in Osawatomie I have direct trail access and my Jamis DXT Sport has not dissapointed. Jeff and his staff did a great job of preparing the bike. I purchased multiple accessories from them. I would purchase another bike from them without question.
