We had our truck tires balanced here. Ron sat and waited for them to finish this task. Not once did anyone mention the Toyota cap at center if the tire missing. It was communicated verbally or written on the invoice. He noticed it was gone the following day. He called and some lady answered, she came up with, oh theres a note that days it was missing on arrival!!!!! Seriously...and no one could say anything the day of? Obviously she was making an excuse! We are very disappointed and definitely have no trust with this dealership! Definitely will not be purchasing our next Tundra from this Toyota dealership! Plus charged a crazy amount for them to tell us about another problem. We cant believe Toyota allows this type if customer service!!
I went in for an oil change on the car I purchased from Clemons. The girls at the service desk were both friendly and efficient. My oil change was faster (I had an appt) than I expected. I will continue to buy my cars from them and use their service department due to the great service I always receive there.
I’ve gotten my Toyota care oil changes done there twice nice now. I wish I could use the Toyota app to set up the appointment but setting up by phone call has worked fine. They had a lot of flexibility setting up a time. Their office area is a little confusing but other than that everything went well.

I brought my vehicle in for a simple tire rotation and when I got back in there was mud and gravel all over the floorboard. I should not get my vehicle back in worse condition and will not be returning.
I fell into the habit of using Clemons vs the competition for oil changes because I got a free car wash. This service has been hit or miss for the last 1-2 yrs. This visit I was told that no longer offer car washes, so I will probably switch to someone else.Last visit was fine, but on 3 other occasions my car was returned with grease on the carpet and seat.
I was so impressed with Dustin at Clemons Toyota. He helped me find a car that fit my needs and my budget. I was able to test drive a few until I found the one that I needed for me and my family and to top it off they had me in and out pretty quick after I made my decision. I recommend everyone go and visit Clemons if they’re in the market for a car.

Scheduled an appointment on a Monday night since I had to work until 4. No one really seemed to care I was there to make a vehicle purchase or not. Two young men who apparently worked there were being rather obnoxious moving vehicles while I was looking at the truck I was interested in. The sales people who I did work with had very little to no knowledge of the trucks I was looking at. Ended up making a purchase elsewhere due to a lack of customer service and knowledge of their vehicles. Only gave them two stars because the second salesperson who I was dumped off to by the first salesperson was slightly more cordial and personable than the first.
I was in need of possible warranty work on my vehicle, and they accepted it and didn’t find a problem after all. They inspected it, found no issue, and didn’t even charge me for their time. Clarissa, from the service department was very helpful, and made sure that the issues were taken care of. It is a great dealership!

I would rate this if possible only .5 a star as the only good was finding out what I didnt want as it was the first time trying to buy at a dealership and not another hand me down.. they were misleading, uninformative, and worst was the thought to push a vehicle for their gains not my family interests. The vehicle they showed me was said to be a 2017 it was actually a 2015. It had 100k miles on it with an outrageous price tag, damage to the body as well as rust is several spots including the tire rods.. when asking about other vehicles wasnt shown anything else to get an idea if it fit my needs, and was even asked what about cars and when asked what do you have in mind was told nor shown anything.. please do yourselves a favor and look around we were fortunate to find a better vehicle with another dealership that actually took our needs above their own.To your reply.. I can go ok for a while if you want can call me or my husband for all details if you like. Things to work on.. listen to the customer, if I ask simple questions would like an answer. Example asked 3 times what the credit cap we were set at finally got an answer . Spend time with your customers not financial individual as we had plenty of alone time to search for other places for price comparisons. For same price if not less we found a 2018 chevy equinox with 36k miles on it not the one you had with 88k. The other sales team actually spent the time with us allotted us several vehicles to test drive and the financial individual actually came out to us to talk to us through the entire experience not just sit in an office throwing numbers to the wind. The easiest way to put it we did not feel appreciated or thought of when there. Cant fix what happened but we went with the other guy. Best of luck in your future. 😃😊🙂😀😄😁
They have reached out to me over Facebook and text. I let them know exactly what I was looking for and how much I was willing to spend. I also mentioned that we were an hour away, and I did not want to make the trip for no reason. The person texting me told me they had 4-5 vehicles that would meet the requirements. So I took a half day off of work, drug my husband away from a job, and drove the hour down there all to find out that every single vehicle was outside of my price range. Payments would be hundreds of dollars over what I wanted to spend. It was a massive waste of time and money on my part. This is what gives car dealerships bad names. I will never recommend.As a response to your reply - it had nothing to do with saving a vehicle and everything to do with being deceived in order to get me there which if you would have read my review in entirety you would have understood. Do not save my information. As I told Tammy, I will never do business with your company.

I wasnt happy overall. I had a problem with my headlight not working even though the bulb is fine and with a tire thats leaking and they couldnt figure out either of the problems. Also they wanted to charge over $100 to scan my car and tell me why my check engine light is on. Also they told me replacing my air filter would make my ac a lot colder but its still just as warm as before. Not a good experience I thought these were the professionals.
I LOVED everyone in the service department. I had to have my ac fixed and they had to install a new compressor. I took my vehicle and dropped it off for a few hours and they got the new compressor installed and called to let me know my car was done for the time being but they realized there was a main line that also had a leak so they had to order that part and I had to take my vehicle back the next week and had to pay labor costs for something I wish they would have caught my first trip 😔. Cost way more than I thought it would, but pleased with the service!!!!!

I got a good deal on new tires. The alignment didnt turn out so well as the mechanic didnt properly tighten the sleeve on the drag link causing it to seperate on the way home. Thankfully we were going slow when our new front wheels turned different directions. Not cool!
Scheduled an oil change next day after I called (I appreciate when they can get me in quickly), picked up my vehicle and returned it all while I was working. Very convenient and affordable (I can’t change my oil myself for any cheaper than to have them do it). Also, when I take it to them routinely, they help me keep an eye on fluid levels, tire tread, routine maintenance, etc. which helps keep my vehicle in good shape. I need all the help I can get, life is busy and I travel constantly for work.
I would like to give Cory Long a shout out as he is very patient when explaining vehicles. I do not always understand the technical details regarding vehicles but he did a great job providing information.

I purchased a vehicle here several years ago. It was a hassle and at one point they told me the paperwork didnt go through so I had to bring it back. They ended up getting it sorted out. I am now at the point where I am looking at used vehicles again. They now have not even a single used vehicle listed with a price. On top of that they have their website behind a wall that requires your info to even see the inventory. This company is going down hill and doing some pretty shady things. Sorry to say but I will not be purchasing here again.

Great place, clean and orderly environment. Friendly staff too. My only critique was that I had a check engine light on when I dropped it off and no one looked into that or updated me on what was going on with it. When they finished servicing my car, I noticed it was still on and had to ask another mechanic about it. They did end up taking care of it BUT I shouldnt have had to ask to get it done.Apart from that one incident, Clemons is a great place. Ive been servicing my vehicle there for a long time and I intend to continue doing so.

I have no faith in this service department. I have been taking my car into them repeatedly since September of 2020 to fix an issue with my Lincoln MKX under warranty. It would starve and stall out on starting. I continued to provide them with details. I had to have it towed to them at least once. With all wheel drive we all know that means waiting for a flatbed. Every time, I got, ‘Not code, no problem, drive it and see.’ It would turn around and do it again. I even left it with them for a week thinking they might try harder with more time and less pressure.They finally after I told them I could get it to start occasionally by popping the throttle, did change one set of tubing. It didn’t fix anything.The rear overhead taillight assembly went out. The ordered it, scheduled me, and waited until the morning of to call me and tell me the Lincoln guy came down with Covid and they were rescheduling me to the 29. On the 29, they called me again on the same morning after he had been doing this all week and said he is only working until noon, we have to move your appointment to May 4. Reluctantly, I agreed only because they had ordered the part; otherwise I would have been done on the second short notice cancellation. They told me easy job. In and out. I sat there 3.5 hours without an update or a single word.In the mean time, I want you to know I drove 50 miles out of my way to Pella to Ulrich Ford. They listened to me, understood the problem and were able to recreate the failure of the sending unit in the fuel tank. Part is ordered, they washed and vacuumed my vehicle and were so extremely nice! It was a pleasure to work with them.I will not darken the door of Clemons Ford again. Kudos to Ulrich Ford though!!
I would highly recommend Clemons of Ottumwa! I called to inquire about the price of a vehicle I was looking at and Tammy was extremely helpful in providing the price and setting up an appointment.Dakota was my salesman and he, along with a manager, did a wonderful job getting me into the vehicle I was looking for! Dakota was knowledgeable on all my spur of the moment questions during my test drive. Once back to the dealership, he worked with the manager on any concerns and other questions I had. I had a few concerns about how the vehicle drove, and they were happy to address those issues the next day when the service department opened.I returned the following day with all of my concerns addressed and fixed if needed. The vehicle drove and looked great! I then worked with Erik in finance and he made the paperwork so easy and stress free. I left with the new vehicle as one very happy customer!Great job guys, I look forward to working with you in the future!
We had a 2019 Tundra, Platinum trim, that we were ready to have another oil change and tire rotation done on. They said there was a recall for the fuel pump, and they would get the parts so they could do it all at the same time. We got there and they ordered the wrong fuel pump. No biggie, we just had them do the oil change and tire rotation. It took two weeks for them to get the correct fuel pump. During that time, we didn’t drive it as the fuel was already low enough to help them perform the fuel pump recall. We dropped it off the night before, so they had all the next day to do this work. I went in at 5pm to pick it up, they said it was done. I asked if they checked it or filled it up some as I know the work is not easy to replace the fuel pump. They said did not add any fuel to check. So, I drove down to Hy-Vee and filled it completely full of fuel. I got back in the truck and the gauge still read 0, no gas. So clearly the fuel pump recall work was not done correctly. I called the dealership and service department was gone for the day. So, I drove back to dealership, dropped it off and went home without our truck. I talked with the service department the next day and made it clear that this work that we have been waiting on for weeks was not done correctly and it needed to be done. I did not want to wait until next week as they suggested. If they checked their work, this would not have happened. They were able to make repairs to fix this show the correct fuel level without ordering more parts. After we finally drove it home, the steering wheel shook. We took it to the place in town where we bought the tires new and they said wherever we been taking it, has not been rotating the tires properly. That explained why one tire out of the four was wearing different. The tire place rotated the tires and balanced the fronts. Finally, the truck handled like it was new.My advice if you go to Clemons, mark your tires if you pay for them to rotate them and before you walk out after any kind of work, ask them if they checked their work. Also, if you don’t want your truck washed, tell them several times as once is not good enough. They washed ours after a previous service and it looked worse than it did before. No dealership we have found can wash a black truck correctly without making it worse or scratching it. Hopefully you don’t have an experience like this again. We do not plan on taking our vehicles to Clemons anymore.

My truck was in this shop for 2 months. It jumped in price real fast. My F 350 with a 6.4L threw a low pressure fuel pump $800, high pressure fuel pump $3200, then the injectors/ diagnostic $3700. Now i need a new motor for around 10k. If I didnt have a warranty I couldnt afford this repair. Brandy communicated well with me. She talked to the warranty company, and overall handled the worst case scenario well. It was just a Ford thing LoL

The service is good once you get past the individual that answers the phone. I called today to get in for service and was on hold for quite a while. I mentioned this when I came off of hold and the individual/ operator had quite a poor attitude and said in a rude tone that I have to understand that there are only 2 people back there and they are real busy, I need to leave a message. Over a text, one cannot express the tone used but, it extremely rude and uncalled for. So I will take my business elsewhere.

Went in for an oil change and rotation of the tires on my 2019 Toyota Camry after having reached only 12600 miles on the car. It had 9200 miles on it when we purchased it in March of 2020.The service staff at Ottumwa Clemons was very friendly and did a good quick job and I recommend the dealership fully.

I bought a traverse a couple of days ago..since the begining we knew something was not good with the car, they told us they were going to change the transmision with no extra charge but they didnt do it, they had it for 2 weeks i just pick it up today and i feel that its worst than it was before they didnt do anything to it. To be honest thats not what i expect for a dealer like this plus they are very mean when they pick up calls, they just dont care about their customers.
Took our older vehicle there for a timing belt change. Extremely helpful and wonderful to work with. Will definitely be going back there again!

So I bought a 2010 ford edge in January 2021 couple weeks after the battery went dead called them and they replaced which was great so next thing was the vehicle started vibrating so called them so they could look at my tires and soon as I pulled it in they said I need new tire without even lifting it up to see if anything else was wrong so they ordered new tires and today March 9th 2021 I went to have them put on and they came told me that it wasnt my tires its that I need new ball joints and wheel bearing thing is I just bought the vehicle so it was like that when I bought it and I only drive 10 minutes to work and they sit there and told me they dont look at vehicles mechanically when they buy them so now not only did I spend all that money buying the vehicle now Im in another 1100 for something I didnt do to it, it was like that when I bought it so dont think I will be shopping here anymore, its been 2 months not 3 months since Ive had the vehicle, oh ya and they lied to me it doesnt need ball joints or bearing it needs tie rod ends thats it and wires are not showing,
Very disappointed in my experience with Clemons. Brought in my vehicle that was under power train and extended warranty for an issue I was having. Clemons claimed that Ford needed to approve the job but not before explaining that their internet and phone lines were down for over a week. 1 month later they still claim that they haven’t heard any more information from Ford. In this time I was able to take my vehicle to another dealership, have the vehicle fixed, and am back driving it. I will not take my business back to Clemons ever again.
