Worst shopping experience ever. Both in store and online. Unprofessional and childish. They can never get my online order right. Either its the wrong item or dont get it at all and have to call and wait for them to bring it. After a year of ordering online my deliveries were very seldom on time most times 30 minutes to an hour late. Any time I have gone into the store the employees are rude. Today was my last time ordering from this store. I will take my money else where.

High-end looking beautiful grocery store with very competitive prices. They are the only ones in the area that have everything that other markets do not. Very helpful and pleasant staff as well. I stop here every time I go through Alexandria now.

Friendly, helpful staff,most add items in stalk .meat department nicely stalked butchers always ready to lend advice. Liquor department best in town if you cant find it there its not sold in Ottumwa. South by vee is best in town by far!

The staff at Hy-Vee is always friendly and kind. I live in Minneapolis and every time I am in Hy-Vee I have had interactions with Jim Cain and he is always smiling and hard working! We need more people like him in businesses!

I brought my check in a week ago and had no problem cashing it. I bring it in today and I cant just because I dont have an iowa id! This needs to be changed. I worked at a hyvee and we never had this rule😠

Excellent I loved it the first time I walked in here, Im from Garden City Kansas and my daughter took me to do some shopping and the first thing I said was: woow, its very big! and your employees were nice, the excellent manager helped find it what we wanted, thank you very much.

I like their meets fresh and not injected with a bunch of water. The employees do a good job on keeping everything instock and great deals everyday.

Great friendly place to shop, produce is usually fresh and well stocked. Every now and then some of their produce is not mature enough and other times produce well over their maturity date... Maybe a bit spoiled. Cooked food on the other hand has never been a hit with me, its usually dry and not good... Same goes for their Chinese food. All that aside... The grocery part of it is more often than not on spot. One last note, the salad bar is usually pretty darn good... Though to be fair is just cut up fruits and veggies along side nacho cheese and cooked taco beef.

My favorite grocery store in town! It also happens to be closest to my home, but Ive shopped Fareway, Aldis and Walmart, and still go back to HyVee. Their FuelSaver program saves me money on gas, and their gas station has the best deals on Iced Tea in town!

Just went in to pay water bill. Had to wait in line and then the clerk answered phone so I had to wait while clerk talked on phone. It made me feel like the phone was more important than I was.

Easily located groceries and staff were really friendly and courteous

I go here on the Southside of Ottumwa to pay my bills. I always get excellent customer service and they are very friendly as well.

An all around great store.

The chocolate in Starbucks was amazing. Then we order breakfast, and it came quickly, I like the surrounding glasses that gives a sensation of wider location. Food came quickly and service was marginal; then we went to visit the meats section with empty showcases due to the Monday hurricane. Sorry.

Prices are still high. And they are not going back to being open 24 hrs.

Today when you walk in they was handing out care packages from Good Samaritan. There was hand sanitizer, a pen and a mask.

The people who work for HyVee get a 5. The store and its policies gets a 2. Masks are not required. I saw several people without masks when asked about their mask they here not to understand the science behind it. HyVee provides mass at the door for people to wear if they didnt have their own.yet further CEO they dont enforce Mass wearing at all. This is because a week response actually has helped HyVee and their CEO knows this.I avoid shopping at Hy-Vee whenever I can its only when I cant that I shop there.

Seems like theyre gouging some items. You really have to cherry pick if you have a budget to stick to. Im glad theyre around, and open. Im also glad they have competition. Other places have items that seem to be going up in price too fast as well. Strange times were living in, and its going to take time to adjust.

Alrighty. This is one of the worst stores to shop at in Ottumwa, IA south Hy-Vee. 2 of the main ladies there wasnt very quiet when talking rudely about other costumers/works and just being unprofessional. People seem unorganized and confused or they dont know what I am talking about. Not so smiley workers for a place that literally says a helpful smile im every Aisle

This Hy-Vee has a liquor department where I was able to find Apothic Inferno. The selection of wines, beer and liquors is outstanding.
