Auto Doctors did a great job on my elderly Moms car. They quoted me a great price to complete 30,000 mile check up and did only the service that it needed after completing checklist; an oil change and tire rotation. When I arrived to pick up car, they advised there was no charge. I am not sure if I mentioned to them when I requested quote, that my father had recently passed away. Their kindness and quality work is very much appreciated!

In all honesty the shop is super clean and super honest about what is going on. Alex is a very wise technician with a very honest way about him and you can tell the shop shares those values. My car was returned in the same cosmetic shape I left it but with all my repairs done to the letter. They only I will tell anyone whom is reading this is when you rent a car if you do save yourself some headaches and money and do the weekly rate and just return it early if you have to. It’s so much cheaper. But alas the shop is great and I will definitely be a repeat customer should I have issues again.

This place is a absolute joke. They had our car over 4 months, but never actually fixed anything. We were constantly lied to or avoided. The car was returned with the interior covered with greasy hand prints. And 2 pair of sunglasses stolen.

Ahh, Auto Doctors...I had an experience like no other.While my experience happened in March of 2019, I have recently moved back to the Overland Park area and needed some work done on my 2006 Expedition. I used a shop right by Auto Doctors (see my reviews) that actually got the job done quickly efficiently and inexpensively....the FIRST TIME....all the things that my Auto Doctors experience WAS NOT!The shop is right down the street from Auto Doctors so it reminded me of my nightmare experience with them.March of 2019 I was driving down the street on 119th and Quivera and my car started shuddering. It was coming from the engine area and my car at that time had well over 150,000 miles on it so I looked on my phone for nearest Auto Repair and found Auto Doctors was close by.Drove the car over there, walked into the waiting area and was met by Alex. I explained the problem and he told me they could take a look at it that day.He told me that when they analyzed the car they would use an IPad and film a video of the exact problem, that way there would be no lying about the problem.About 4 that afternoon, I got a call from Alex saying that he located the problem and that my whole front suspension system was on the verge of falling apart.Alex gave me a quote of $2400.00 to fix the front end suspension. After almost passing out, I realized that not having a car was detrimental to my business.Since Alex told me upfront they used this IPad video to support their findings, I was looking forward to seeing the video.But, alas, there was no video. Their IPad technology was conveniently DOWN in this particular situation and no video existed.I was screwed without my car so I told him to go ahead and get this done.Came in on Monday afternoon and forked over $2400.00 and picked up the keys to my Expedition.Drove it home and the next day, as I was driving and parking my car, the shuddering happened AGAIN!I called and spoke to a young lady and she told me that Alex would call me back.I never actually got a call, but I did get some texts from Alex, telling me to bring the car back in.Also, after getting the car back my Check Engine light started coming on.Took the car back in and I think the owners name is Jeff, called me. He emphasized that the front suspension was in seriously bad shape. However, we talked it over and he did an oil change and added an oil additive.No discount on the oil change, by the way! Nice guys!!!Anyway, I picked the car up and it ran fine. So, duh, it was the engine.I was seriously upset and tried to talk to Jeff to work some sort of mutually fair deal but he was not one to negotiate.I sent him a registered letter and copied the Johnson County Consumer Advocacy Dept. outlining my grievances and seeing if we could agree to some sort of deal. I explained that he did not fix the problem I CAME IN FOR!I did get a response back from Jeff saying that yes, his IPad was not working (the whole darn reason I took the car there!!!) but that the suspension was in bad shape.Never saw the old parts and never saw a video.A few months later, I moved to Las Vegas and needed to take in my car for a new starter.I asked the mechanic if he could look and see if there were indeed new suspension parts on the car and he didnt see anything that looked new.Not sure if the time has elapsed where I can take Auto Doctors to small claims court but suffice to say that I would run far and fast before taking my car here.I have read some reviews on the BBB site and apparently this shop may be good at small repairs...but there were quite a few derogatory complaints about the quality of the service.

These guys are amazing! They went above and beyond for my wife and I not over or under selling us. They have been so trustworthy, highly recommended! Their record is that they are never wrong.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. My in-laws took their 2018 Jeep wrangler with 35,000 miles on it to auto doctors due to hearing noise from their brakes. My father in law is not mechanically knowledgeable he chooses to trust the pros. This shop is definitely not that. Just so you know my claims are not baseless. I myself have worked in the automotive industry for the last 16yrs and have ASE certifications. That being said those certificates mean nothing if you choose to sell repairs to people thag they dont need. Auto doctors told them that the left rear caliper was completely locked up and that the right rear caliper was almost locked up and all needed replaced for a total some of $1,122. This didnt sound right to me consider the vehicle is still under factory warranty. My in-laws declined the repairs so i could take a look at the car. After i removed the tires i was able to easily see that the tech never even removed the left caliper what so ever being that the factory paint markers where still in line. Now that being sajd there are other ways of checking a caliper for failure by not removing it. I was able to easily compress the cLiper that they said had failed. The pads had worn evenly which is another sign that the caliper HAD NOT FAILD. The biggest suprise to me was when iread their estimate. They clearly stated that they had not even removed the right caliper to verify that it had a failure. But told the customer it was almost failing. I took video amd pictures of the entire repair process to prove my claims amd that this shop is out to rip people off. For some reason google wont let me post them. But i will be posting them on Facebook and other review platforms. These styles of shops and these styles of techs are what give good repair places and good techs bad names. Do yourself a favor and do not take your vehicle to this shop. If they did it to us they will do it to you. They had the audacity to go above and beyond the work on our ford edge. Even fixed a very agitating noise that burdened the vehicle since the day weve purchased it. Im so thankful for hard working, over the top, honest, and respectable Vehicle Doctors at the auto doctors and plan to spread the word about their work. Thank You Guys!!!

Ive beeb coming here forbthe last year. These guys are very receptive as to help me understand whats going on. They do not try to add in extra fluff that i dont need despite me being female. And im not even just saying this but they go the extra mile. On one occasion I came in for an oil change (or trip examination) and they mentioned theyd found a nail in one of my tires which they patched for free. Reliable transportation is everything to me. So I went to the Honda Dealership to get an oil change yesterday. The man who checked me in said I would need an alignment because I tire a had issues. So I found this Groupon for a Tire aliment and an inspection. Well, after the mechanics looked at it, he said nothing was wrong with my car. Auto Doctors is a Five-star place! They did not even charge me;) thanks for being an honest company.

I received a coupon in the mail and decided to give them a try because they are located so close to my home. I always have my car worked on by a dealership however they often dont fix the issues properly. Auto Drs. Were very friendly and knowledgeable. Id say they are priced pretty similar to dealership cost, but the difference is they actually properly fixed my vehicle. They also emailed me pictures of items on my car that need attention in the future and explained why it is necessary to maintain these things. Alex was who helped me with everything and he did a fantastic job!

UPDATE: I called the number listed in the comment below by the owner and left a message with Caitlyn, who said the shop manager will be the one to call me back. I would like to speak with Jeff or whoever left the comment, so feel free to give me a call as well. My phone number is in the system.I paid over $1,500.00 for them to diagnose and fix my car. Finally took it to GM for a diagnostic test, only for them to tell me it was a simple part I had already paid Auto Doctors to replace early on in the process. When GM called Auto Doctors, they became defensive and argumentative saying the part had been replaced and theyre not sure what GM is talking about. Just paid another $400.00 for GM to replace the part I already paid Auto Doctors to replace. Absolutely would not recommend for anything other than an oil change. Absolutely loved their service when they were in KCK. Not sure what changed.

In the past week Auto Doctors has worked on 2 of my vehicles and I could not be happier with the level of service and quality of work that they have done on both vehicles. Auto Doctors took my van right away in an emergency situation. They were very thorough and did an inspection after the repair. When they found an additional issue, they emailed pics and asked before doing anythingextra to our vehicle. We wished we had had a coupon to use! but are happy and will use them again.

The shop provides an estimate before performing ANY work and I have always had a phone call within 24 hours to go over the shops perspective of work they feel needed to be performed. Very professional and always willing to answer any questions I have had.For those posting negative reviews I offer this - you should never expect services to be performed OR to borrow tools for free. This is not a hobby for the business owner and you are relying on them to provide you their professional opinion on what needs to be fixed on your car. I desperately need an oil change and a tire rotation. When I went into the shop I had my three year old son. Mom nightmare to be stuck at a cat shop with a toddler and trying to entertain him. But Auto doctors Overland Park made sure we were completely taken care of. They had a cute little toy corner, movies, and cartoons all ready for us. I have had work done on my car many times at Auto Doctors in Kansas City, and it has always been a pleasant experience. My first visit to this shop, I was greeted by Kalyn at the front desk. She was friendly, polite, and very knowledgeable. She took my car in immediately and diagnosed my cars issue. The mechanics did a great job fixing my car and always got it running in a timely manner. They are also very skilled with diagnosing issues that may arise in the future with my vehicle. This shops employees are always so helpful and friendly, I wouldnt want to go anywhere else!!!

Went in for an estimate on replacing an ac compressor that a previous shop told me I needed replaced. I dont know a ton about ac systems in cars, but the gentleman I talked to explained things in an easy to understand way that didnt feel condescending. He was very honest about why he couldnt give me a very accurate estimate without seeing the car and knowing exactly what was going wrong with it, but did give me an range on a worst case scenario. It was a little higher than Id been quoted at other shops, but the customer service was excellent and he didnt seem the least bothered to take the time to discuss the issue and answer questions, and he seemed very knowledgeable. Its the first shop Ive ever experienced truly outstanding customer service at, so I decided that when I was ready to have the repairs I would use their shop.A few days later my compressor failed completely and shredded my serpentine belt, so I took it to them for repairs. It definitely ended up being a worst case scenario, and the work took a little longer than Id have liked, though this was mostly due to timing over weekends and me taking too long making a decision to go ahead with the repairs, so I take the blame for that one. I feel like I got what I paid for, everyone I talked to throughout the process was very friendly and professional, so even though I might have saved a little money going somewhere else, I feel like I would not have received the same quality of service. Will definitely use in the future.Also, I think they cleaned out my nasty cup holders, so thats a definite plus 😂

I am questioning the thoroughness of their work and ability to diagnose issues. Our AC system stopped working and we took it in. They quoted us $2950 worth of repairs that needed to be done to get the AC system and alternator working again. We had it towed to a dealer service center to evaluate if they would give us anything for a trade in. They quickly called and said that the car just needed a simple serpentine belt. They replaced the belt and charged the AC system with more Freon for a total bill of $221. Thank you for the previous work but we will definitely be getting work done elsewhere in the future.

Jeff and his team have taken care of our 2 cars for several years. They do a great job. They let us know of possible problems but never pressure us to buy unnecessary services. They are always professional and courteous. Prices are very competitive and we know the mechanics have good knowledge and experience--very trustworthy. I have an old 1997 Taurus with over 200,000 miles. With this age & mileage on the car I expect to have the occasional break down, but feel I am still saving money driving an older car without a monthly payment. I usually get Jeffs (the owners) advice when making repairs. He understands my situation and knows that it does not make sense to put a lot of unnecessary money into this old car. He has told me on several occasions to not worry about a certain noise or problem for now. He would certainly advise me if it presented a safety concern and would let me know about any risks such as the potential for further damage. For example, I had a minor valve cover oil leak that he kept an eye on for 3 or so years. This would be the perfect time for a shady shop or even your average shop to try and up-sell you. 3 years later I eventually had him fix it when the leak gradually got worse. My theory is you never know when your car is going to blow up so why would I bother with it before it really needed it. He also has made many recommendations based on his experience to use either a top quality part, mid grade part or even something from a salvage yard. Once again he presents me with the facts, gives me some recommendations & understands that most of us don’t have money to waste. He lets me make the decision without the slightest bit of pressure one way or another. I trust that he treats me like he was in my shoes.

These guys had my brakes replaced in 45 minutes at half the cost of my dealership. They have former Master Mechanics who got tired of the dealerships. They make their money on speed and quality. I’ll be back.

I drive 10,000 miles a month, and Im in for service a couple timesa month. My oldest vehicle has 630,000 miles.

Paid almost $800 for a new radiator, hoses, and cooling system flush and fill... Bought my overheating problem was fixed.... Nope!!! Car was idling and I happen to look up and my car is smoking and anti freeze is everywhere. Went back and was told that something was letting air into the system, causing it to over heat and over flow and suggested another $800 fix... Said no and I had a mechanic look at it and low and behold... My cooling fans were disconnected, he reconnected them and problem solved.... So you suggest a $800 fix for what ended up being cooling fans not hooked back up after you just disconnected them to replace my radiator???? Never again.... Will never go back after that... I was almost robbed, wonder how many didnt catch it and were robbed???

Ive been going to Auto Doctors for a couple of years now, and they always do great work with excellent customer service. Theyre great about calling me with estimates before performing any work, and giving me options and honest opinions. There was one occasion that my wifes old Civic was making an odd noise. After they fixed it, it started up again. They went out of their way to figure out what was going on. Ive been to cheaper shops, but the quality and service havent come close to Auto Doctors.

We came in at 3 PM on a Thursday afternoon to get an oil change before a trip to Dallas we were leaving for the next day.During the routine inspection, the mechanics identified 2 major issues: bubble in tire sidewall and a ball joint that was in desperate need of replacement.I was very grateful for them discovering this, but was disheartened because the repair wouldnt be cheap, and we were afraid we would have to call off the trip.The folks at Auto Doctors saved the day, and were able to get everything done (correctly) by 10 AM the next day.Outstanding service, and I cant recommend them enough.

They fixed a timing gasket in a timely manner for me. Said they took it on a test drive to check it out. When I picked up the car & started driving, it was very loud. Took it back, they found the problem, fixed it & got me back on the road.

Called in advance about my broken door handle. They not only found a used part (per my request) that matched the color, they set up an appointment for right after the holiday (New Years), got me in early, and had the work done in about an hour. I went to auto doctors because my car was having issues at work and I needed somewhere close. I was treated respectfully and in a very friendly manner. I had a great experience at this place and that means a lot since I drive a Nissan 350Z named Lolita who I want to have the best care. I was given a loaner and when the diagnosis came back I was given a quote of the services before receiving the bill. Very important for me because we all know about how mechanics can just name weird numbers without us ever knowing if theyre fair or not. I got my car back promptly and when they said it would be done and they even charged me less than the quoted amount. I would definitely go back to Auto Doctors for any future needs that I have.

On a cold near-Christmas night I was faced with a van that would not start. I had driven from Ohio to Overland Park, checked in to a motel. eaten dinner, and finally gassed up the van. Then...no start. I called AAA and got a tow to Auto Doctors of Overland Park, relying on the AAA operator for an approved shop near my location and my hotel.I was somewhat apprehensive about trusting my aging van and the chance of being with my son and grandkids in Denver for Christmas, but the fine people at Auto Doctors responded in a most helpful fashion. Within an hour or so of opening they had diagnosed a failed starter and promised the repaired van for 4:00. As it turned out, they beat that by three hours. The guys at Auto Doctors always take care of my car quickly and for a reasonable price. The last time my car needed quite a bit of work, they even provided transportation to the mall so I wouldnt have to sit and wait all day. Ill be back soon!

My review is based on that I was told that the company had dealt with my warranty company several times before. So I brought in and then later I find out that was not the case then on top of that I was told I would be charged 400 and some odd to take off the oil pan in regards to the warranty company wanting to know why the breakdown had occurred. Reasonable price. Asked to replace a part that was easy to get to. They unbolted other parts and messed with stuff that they shouldnt have. Not happy about that. Now I have to replace a part that shouldnt have been touched

I have a Mazda MPV van. The coils kept going out. Mazda didnt have an answer other than to keep charging us $300 a coil (6 in the van). Auto Doctors fixed it once and no more problems. They keep our van going. Why buy a new vehicle when Auto Doctors can keep the existing one going strong.

Nice staff, quick service and comparable pricing

Auto Doctors Is horrible every time Ive encountered them.Once I needed a diagnostic computer to assess what was wrong with my car. You can borrow these from any parts store, but Auto Doctors was very close to where I lived so I called them and asked if I could borrow theirs. They told me it would cost $89 to use their diagnostic tool for 5 minutes. Even after I cited I could borrow it for free from any parts store, they insisted I pay them $89 if I wanted to use it.But the fun is only beginning. My older model vehicle had a coolant leak. One shop told me it was at the thermostat housing, and I wanted a second opinion so I took it to Auto Doctors. After charging me $52, they told me my water pump was leaking. I had a hard time imagining this in that I had just had the timing belt and water pump replaced not 3,000 miles ago. Auto Doctors wanted $1,000 to fix my car and install a new timing belt and water pump--if they were going to do that at all.What I did was ignore Auto Doctors, and replaced the thermostat housing gasket and the thermostat. The job took an hour, and cost about $15. Now its all fixedIf you ever want ridiculous estimates and someone to fix things that have already been fixed at absurd prices, go to Auto Doctors. Now Ill send a letter to the Better Business Bureau. Thieves!Since I left this less-than-flattering review Auto Doctors has responded with over 5 Excellent reviews that I have to believe they posted themselves because A) people dont write such positive review for a shop; and B) they didnt get 5 positive review in the previous 5 years. New they get 5in 3 months. Do you want folks like this with your vehicle?
