Very unprofessional! I called a week and a half prior to the date that I wanted to make an appointment. The stylist who answered told me to text her what I wanted done so I did. I never got a text back. A week before the date I wanted the appointment I called again and was booked for the appointment. Two days before the appointment I called to confirm and the stylist confirmed but told me she would text me what I needed to bring to the salon for the appointment. I didn’t receive a text from her until 12am the night prior to the appointment. She text me in the middle of the night trying to change the appointment. Luckily I was awake and I told her I couldn’t change the date because that was the only date I would be off from work. She agreed to keep the appointment but wanted push it back 30 mins. I agreed to this. Then she proceeds to tell me that they don’t have the hair in store that we need to do the style I was asking for so I needed to get the hair before arriving to the appointment. The other hair stores in this area do not open until 10 am and the appointment was set for 11:30 am. I had to wake up earlier to drive to make sure I could find the hair I needed instead of her just telling me two days prior when I called to confirm the appointment. I arrive to the location at 11:30 sharp and she was not there! I waited 20 mins and left. She called me shortly after but I already made it up in my mind that I would not be doing business there. This is not the first problem I have had with them. I had an appointment set some months back to get my dreads retwisted and she text and canceled 5 mins prior to the appointment time

Came there at around 1 pm on a Friday but store was closed...even tho the website says open until 7:30 pm. Its a total disrespect of peoples time. I took time out to come visit this place, only to find it closed and a woman sitting in the back of the store...she turned and looked at me for a while then turned back around and continued doing whatever she was going. Never Coming Back.

They are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Very nice people in there from my experience. Great selection of product to be small. They have one beautician onsite. I found what I was looking for.

I have two girls and its so difficult to find a place that I can find Afro hair products and services in Kansas. Great prices on braiding these ladies know hair. Highly recommend

Great place to get your African hair done. Shes my go to salon for relaxers, weaves, and hair treatment. They sell a wide variety of hair products, braids, weaves and accessories. Everything is very fairly priced.

Drove all the way over here from south overland park (almost 20 mins) just to get there and see ALL the lights on and the open sign was on as well (it was a tuesday at 1pm), but the door was locked. I watched someone leave the store as I pulled into the parking lot so I decided that I would just call them, maybe they are in the back or something. and proceeded to call OVER TEN TIMES with no answer!! May I remind you that I am on break from my job in south OP! Nothing is more frustrating then driving all the way to a store during business hours just to have them act as though they are closed. If you are closed for lunch, leave a sign on the door!!!!! it is not difficult!!! Clearly this store isnt worth my business, and i will continue to use Star Beauty and other local stores for my hair and beauty needs.
