Great store. The children loved it. The displays were well presented and kept. The staff was very helpful. The doll salon did a great job on the hairstyle of the month. They even mentioned that they offer a military discount. There was no Cafe at this location, but it is a great store and is conviently located.
Brenda and all of the staff members were so kind and helpful when we visited the store. My stepdaughter is blind, and Brenda patiently answered all of her questions and showed her different accessories. Several staff members found items as we requested them so that my stepdaughter could feel them. Everyone was so nice and made our first experience at American Girl absolutely fabulous!
Drove 3 hours and it was closed..was told for good? They have no phone number to reach them there.
Great store to take a little girl looking for a doll.Their new dolls arent quite as expensive, but still a nice place to visit. (I own several of these dolls).
This was our first experience with American Girl. My daughter got her first doll and they both got their ears pierced. Dina was absolutely incredible. She was so patient with my daughter. My daughter was very nervous and Dina was great and helped calm her nerves!Thank you Dina for a great experience for a very big day!
Got a doll that looked exactly like my grand-daughter. She was terrified and ran when I gave it to her at the park. But, she also has only met me three times in her 7 year lifespan. I assumed it was a scream of joy, but when she started crying as I followed her, I figured not.
My daughter decided to get her ears pierced today. Initially we headed to a mall kiosk but didn’t feel great about the experience. We walked into American Girl so I could come up with a new game plan. To our delight, there was ear piercing for girls. Bailey, was so kind, gentle and made the whole experience enjoyable. My daughter felt secure and calm in the private space. We couldn’t be happier!
Overpriced but very nice dolls. We personally get out daughters dolls at Target, the our generation knock-off, and her and all her friends do the same and love them. The OG dolls are softer. AG are high quality, sure, just not worth it for most unless youre into that name brand sort of thing to impress other people.Edit: +1 star for your customer service, attentiveness, and reply to this review! Impressive.
My 10 year old son is obsessed with American girl. He wanted a trip here for his Birthday. As a mom and educator who teaches toys are toys an there is no gender assigned toy I was still a bit hesitant in the back of my mind how a boy would be received shopping here since this is a company thats product is geared toward young girls. We did get a few noticeable weird looks from other parents and some young girls shocked faces that a boy was there carrying his own Luciana doll but we continued to look around an let him decide witch doll an accessories to purchase,Then Two sales associates Ruth and Brenda approached at different times and were wonderful. They each Talked with my son and graciously let him talk their ear off about all he knows about American girl, they helped him find what he wanted an made sure our visit was a good one. My son said it was the best day ever. This mom was so Thankful they made our experience there so positive.
We went to the store because my daughters doll has a seam come apart. They informed us the doll would need to be sent to the hospital. After the forms were filled out and the doll was taken to the back my family went to leave. It was at that point my six year old daughter realized he doll was not coming home with us and she began to cry. The manager quickly came over to console her running straight past my husband. She told my daughter they would perform emergency surgery in the store so she could take her friend home. I asked for her face and hair to be cleaned. The manager informed me it would be taken care of since they would be providing her with a new doll identical to the one she had! I thank them from the bottom of my heart for not allowing my baby to leave their store sad. What a great customer service experience!!!
The place is a little girls paradise. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great experience for the girls!
My daughters absolute favorite place. We took her in for her birthday and she had a great shopping experience. The lovely lady that helped her pick out everything she would need for Luciana was great and gave us a bunch of tips on how to care for the dolls hair. Everyone in the store was very pleasant and friendly. Definitely a good way to make a birthday special.
This place is every young girls dream! Books of girls with stellar chatacter and dolls of these characters that the books feature, plus accessories for imagination in play. Girls can order dolls that look like them and baby dolls are available too. Makes me want to go back to age 8. Its a beautiful store wiyh outside and mall entrance.
I received lots of friendy help in the store today. Found what I wanted. Quick checkout. Thank you!
My little cousin LOVES this place. There were so many different dolls along with playsets and accessories. In each section they even have play models for kids to play with while they decide what they want. I wish there was a store like this for when I was a kid but I must admit my inner kid was easily brought out as my little cousin played her heart away. It is pretty $$expensive$$ though.
The associate Ruth was extremely nice and sweet to my daughter! She helped make our experience even better!
Got to learn a lot about their dolls and the work put into them, the staff are so nice to let me know of their service of brushing customers dolls hair. Wish I knew that sooner! Lovely place for kids!
This is a very fun store to take your daughters too. We can spend hours here. One of my daughters even had her birthday party here. The hair boutique is fun. I just wish things were more affordable.
I went to the American Girl store today at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, Ks to purchase my 7 year old daughter an American Girl doll. I cant lie I was excited. My 19 year old was never into dolls so I was super excited my younger daughter asked Santa for one this year. As I walked into the store I was completely overwhelmed by how many dolls there were. I have to admit I didnt do my research prior to going so I wasnt sure if each doll had a name or if the only difference was their clothing and hair. Since I didnt know anything about the dolls I went to ask for assistance. I located two employees standing in the middle of the store talking. One was an older white woman named Pat and the other was a younger African American woman. As soon as I asked about the difference in dolls Pat pointed to one of your cases holding two girl dolls and a boy doll and stated they werent all the same because one was a boy. When Pat said this she smirked and her tone was rude and condescending. I was immediately taken back and didnt know what to say. I thought my American Girl experience was going to be much different. I tried explaining that I just didnt know the difference and Pat made a noise as if she was laughing at me. Long story short I walked away upset, but the African American girl approached me again and asked if I wanted her to help me. I thanked her and told her I thought Pat was rude and I could not believe Pat did that. Yes I had on a sweatshirt and jeans with no makeup and Im not a Johnson County girl, but I thought all people were welcomed in your store to purchase your dolls. My interaction with Pat in your store was so upsetting I’m not sure I will return. Pat made me feel as if I didnt belong in the store or I wasnt good enough to shop there. I worked hard to purchase this $130.00 doll for my daughter and I hope she loves it, but Im also glad she wasnt with me. As for Pat she should probably take a course in good customer service. Your guarantee and your promise that all girls should feel welcomed was not the case today. Apparently only high class people are appealing to Pat and worthy of her good customer service. Very upsetting.
This store never ceases to amaze me. My daughter was surprised with a trip for her birthday, every single person made her feel like the most important girl in that store. We had soooo much fun and cant wait to go back in to look around and play again.
Fun and immaculately clean store. Staff were friendly. Good product, but what a price! Yikes. Still was a fun place to look around.
They also offer ear piercing (for real girls, not just dolls) and did a very good job. Very sterile and also fun with good photo ops.
Brenda was extremely helpful and provided a great and historical 1st timers experience
We bought my daughter a doll from there for Christmas and she loves it. The prices though.
I love american dolls i wish i had obe though
Great store they have everything your little one would need or want for their dolls. People here are great and can answer all your questions and help you with any concerns or questions you might have.
The store is of average size. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have worked on the dolls up until close to get the hair fixed.
I want do one real love it your favorite😍 know keep our fun got hqs did really on more was small sh now enter it for new stuff for new life but 2here days
Joan I believe was super sweet and helpful as it was our first time there. It was an overall great experience for our family
The gentleman that I talked about selling my antique baby doll was saying that I was soliting and breaking the law by sell this doll
The amazing kindness that went above and beyond helped make my little girls dreams come true! We have been waiting ever since she was a preschooler and learned about American Girl Dolls to visit the store and she was not disappointed! They werent just trying to sell a doll they took the time to go with her and tell her about the story behind the girls! Thank you to the staff for making it not just a trip to a store, but a memory to last a lifetime!
Always love getting to visit and see all the stuff they have for the dolls
Shopping here is an amazing experience! I have gone here many times in the past, and each time has been fantastic! The lines can be a bit frustrating to wait in sometimes, and the dolls and clothes are pricey, but those are both inconveniences that are worth it. American Girl provides high quality toys that are very nicely made.
Nice store but come on with the prices! How much can a plastic doll really cost? I guess you are paying for the name but really???
Loved that my daughter could play with the toys and that the staff was extremely attentive to us and helped us find what we were looking for.
Love the store, or rather my granddaughter loves it. She has her Itty Bitty doll, her American girl doll and all 5 of the Wille Wishers dolls. She is almost 4 and treats them like they were her babies. Age has made not difference. Even tho they have suggested ages on them.
Absolute positive experience everytime I visit this store at least twice a month!
This store is exactly how it should be: great care for both my daughter and her doll with plenty of courtesy to me (the dad paying the bill :) The AG store in Chicago has nothing on this wonderful location.
Loved AG in the past...not as much now with all the changes & outrageous pricing
Walked in and was Immediately greeted. We felt so welcome. Never been to American girl before. Had questions from an order I made online where I was so rudely hung up on by customer service (ended up driving 45 min to the store). But the lady said they dont do create your own in store (which I already knew and thats fine) but she could get customer service on the phone for me, while doing so she to us to walk around the store and look around ended up solving our problem without us even having to take the time to sit on the phone with them (she also informed them of how we had to drive 45 min to the store because of being hung up on). She also agreed to help with my daughters surprise showing of her first american girl doll!! All the staff was fantastic. Very impressed 5 stars!
I wish they did buy online and pick up in store, or that you could directly contact the store. The staff is always helpful once youre there though.
The only American Girl store in the area, this store has a great staff, and its always fun to look around, especially the different displays they have around the store. *Local Tip* The restrooms in this store are better maintained than any others in the mall!
Lots to choose from for kids! Nice and clean. Fun for children.
Prices are a not expensive for such little dolls
A perfect place for girls and boys. Store employees are not only helpful, they are pleasant, polite and so good with the children!
Did an american girl package with hotel and all. Had a blast! The store was great and so were the employees! We loved it!
The employee Cindi was nice and very helpful.
My granddaughter loved the outfits, great place to school shop.
So much fun with my daughter!
Overpriced, they definitely have an original product. Otherwise great staff, clean store and wide selection.
Very friendly staff. They were great with my niece that was beside herself with excitement!!!
My lil gal loved the visit
Always a pleasure to shop at this store. Great customer service and always friendly.
We had so much fun and the staff was so helpful! It was more of an experience than a shopping trip.
Beautiful store. Sales lady was very nice and informative
We had a trip planned to the STL store got there found out it was closed from 3 and half hours over here, and the staff made it a great experience for my daughter
Every girls dream. Great selection of specific dolls.
The staff was great and the store was great but its just a little overpriced but its a great store
Daughter loves AG & the staff are super friendly & knowledgeable
Always good service here.
Closed due to bad weather at 5pm. The storm is not even going to hit till 9pm. My daughter was very disappointed. Doubt I will ever be back.
Beautiful! Customer Service is Wonderful!
Once again American girl disappoints! Our dance/Scout troop called to make a prepaid reservation for the KC viewing party and was told within an hour it was sold out.Aside from the fact that the products are slowly going downhill and are overpriced, there should be more than 1 viewing party for a store! This is a true travesty!Signed another disappointed and former AG consumer!Melissa
Went with daughter and granddaughter. Nice and neat place, but way too expensive.
Helpful staff. Good selection.
Lovely hands on displays of the merchandise. Always sticker shock though!
I love this place for girls
I loved the American Girl Place in Kansas, even though I was only there for a short time once!
It was a great experience, I personaly liked the tea party and highly recommend it.
Very expensive, great for little girls and i loved it when i was little
They have some cool stuff in here, but everything is so overpriced. Such shame to teach our young ones how little money means.
Nice store, good selection, little pricey
The store in Oak Park Mall looks really fun!And one day i hope to go there!
