This donut shop is the cutest place EVER!!! The little shack is adorable, and the seating is colorful and inviting. The employee that took our order was very kind, and the transaction was quick and easy. And the donuts are the best part!! They are SO sweet and rich, one of the best i’ve had in a while. I recommend the old fashioned with chocolate glaze. If you want AMAZING donuts, go to DOP donuts!!!!!
Delicious donuts and great, family friendly environment! Stopped going to Dunkin to support local. I’m rating DOP 4 stars because they only have 1 person working which can take over 20 minutes to get to the counter and waiting with kids that long isnt the most enjoyable. Also the boxes are a bit flimsy so don’t let your kids hold them. But overall this is a great little donut joint to hit up before the farmers market or walk around downtown OP.
You know youre a food lover when your alarm clock goes off at 6:30 am, and you get dressed warmly to drive 40 minutes for a taste of heaven. DOP Donuts (Downtown Overland Park Donuts), and I did just that this morning.DOP is the first-ever outdoor, pet-friendly, kid-friendly donut, and coffee shop. I have to admit the drive was long and the weather well in the midwest its ❄️ cold, but it was worth it to me!DOP operates between two buildings in what is recognized as old downtown Overland Park Kansas. The city is pouring money into this area, so this location was a great find for them. When the owners first found the site is was behind locked gates and was a little scary. But now, you walk in on turfgrass with fun artwork on the walls and festive seating areas everywhere. At the end of the grass, you find yourself at a revitalized airstream trailer serving donuts 🍩 and coffee. Only one person was working the located today, but she was accommodating and friendly. We were in luck as two of the flavor we ordered were the last of their kind for the day. You see, when you serve up perfection, you have to get there early to grab a taste. My kryptonite in life is an old fashion donut, and its even worse for Kal-El (only loyal fans will get that one) when you take said old fashion donut and glaze it again with chocolate or any number of flavors as DOP does.DOP, in my eyes, is an excellent addition to the Overland Park area, and I find it uplifting that when its cold outside and the rest of the world in bed, lovers of small businesses and great food will stand in line for these sweat round holes of love.Take the time to check out DOP, come early, or you will miss out and grass a hat. Its cold outside. 😁
Great little local Donut & Coffee Shop just off the redeveloping Downtown Overland Park. Donuts are great, with all the flavors just a little more pronounced than most, the glaze is a little sweeter, the blueberry a little more pronounced, etc. Coffee looked like schmancy, flavored stuff, but lots of enthusiastic takers Service was great and very positive. Oh yeah, the Cinnamon Donut Holes, gettum.
Really neat setup. The donuts are tasty. The girl running the place the day i went was really nice and friendly. Ill return again.
YOU PAY! By alot! About? IlL, I am, the resounding Ill come in by alot more Hailie Jade by 1 & only by friend in need! iLL! Bye, you two iLl!
Very tasty, very friendly. Nice little outdoor seating area to go with it all
Theres been quite a bit of buzz about DOP Donuts, especially about the unique outdoor setting and restored Airstream, so we had to stop by and try their donuts. I prefer good stuff/not so good stuff reviews so thats the approach Ill take here.+ The location is very accessible in friendly, downtown OP. Lots of easy-access parking and fast and friendly service.+/- They do not take cash. Its credit or debit only using Square.- Their donuts are pretty pricey, at $9.75 per half dozen.- The donuts are not freshly made in the Airstream. Its simply a donut stand. They were cold so Im guessing theyre baked off-site by another bakery. The donuts reminded me of grocery store bakery donuts. Not terrible, but overpriced for the quality.UPDATE: To the Owner of DOP Donuts. I am not a donut [shop] owner. Im a retired professional who enjoys frequenting and reviewing locally owned spots. I leave fair and balanced reviews. Ive left a dozen Google Reviews, mostly of restaurants, with photos.
Just a great spot! Excited to walk my dogs there, stumbled upon it this morning! The owner was extremely friendly and I love the concept! Kids liked their donuts & their coffee was excellent!
This place was cozy and delicious. The donuts are reasonably priced especially considering they are so tasty. The donuts were just as warm as any other donut place ;)It was great and we will be back again and again!
Good donuts but you have to get there early because they sell out.
Work right next door and love seeing all the happy families, friends, and coworkers come here to play and relax. The chocolate old fashioned is so good, and the bourbon pecan coffee is a nice addition
Stopped by today for a chocolate glazed old fashioned donut! The staff was super friendly and the donut was TOO good. I might just have to go back tomorrow... 😍
I discovered this place quite on accident. I go on long runs or walks regularly, and much longer ones on the weekend, and one early morning I was far from home exploring the back streets of downtown OP with my dog when I came across this artificial turf covered empty lot between two buildings with a stainless steel old school camping trailer and several patio tables/chairs . I thought it was closed but there was a biq marquee bulb sign that said DONUTS! The window was just opening and I realized I had just gotten there as they had opened the gate and opened for the day. I bought one of every kind of donut they had (15 in all) for the family to try as we are always seeking out great donuts. I had fun carrying that flat box home for a few miles, but it was worth it.These are good, rich, CAKE donuts, the way Homer Simpson intended them(with the great colors/icings to go with it).I talked to the person working there for a bit and discovered they have gluten free donuts(my daughter has celiac disease) but only available on Saturday mornings, so we will definitely be going back.Very interesting place that I cant wait to take out of town guests for something different one morning.
Fun little stop for old fashioned style donuts!
Yummy donuts. Great coffee. Friendly service. Sweet little spot.
These never last long in our house. Absolutely delicious every time. The blueberry cake and peanut butter donuts are especially awesome.
Tasty doughnuts; friendly employee; good coffee.
Poor customer service. Girl decided her phone call was more important than serving the one person in line. Wont be back. Just go to hanas donuts and get them fresh.
Get up early for the best selection. Ourdoor seating or grab n go your favorite hand-crafted donuts. Our new weekend go-to spot located in Downtown OP!
This place is adorable and delicious!!
Avery is super sweet and awesome! Great customer service! Love the donuts here!
The donuts we unbelievable. Very good coffee as well. Excited to have another locally owned donut shop nearby.
Best doughnuts since Johns Space Age was around. Waiting in line is totally worth it! The absolute best doughnuts in the metro!
Fun stop. Excellent glaze donuts.
