The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. I love going into this shop. Ive bought my base station and my tuner from here. They go able and beyond. When I bought my used tuner they went as far as to print me a manual since they didnt have the original with it. Plus when I go in I can bounce ideas off them

Great place to go looking for your Amateur Radio wants and needs. Got some COAX cable and an N bulkhead connector to make a wifi antenna. Lots of interesting stuff in here. Buy local!

This is a gem in hiding. The reps there are very knowledgeable in ham radios. The prices are below Amazon and eBay. They also have a pretty good selection of cb products. If you need ham information or equipment this is the place to go.

Its a stop everytime I try too make when Im back on Kansas City. Found a bargin table of used parts that will let me plan try out some mounting options of a 2 ball mount for $6. Ive bought multiple radios there in the past when I lived in Topeka.

Very good selection for a local brick and mortar radio shop! Staff is friendly, very knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions, plus theyve never tried to up sell me. In fact, theyve actually saved me money by showing me better ways to do things. Additionally, their prices are very competitive with online vendors. We are VERY fortunate to have such a great shop locally, especially considering how niche their market is. I try to purchase from them vs online as much as possible. They may be a little more expensive than Amazon but their knowledge more than makes up for it. I highly suggest them for any amature radio needs. They also carry a little for CBs and a hell of a lot more friendly than a truck stop.

It is a great store for ham radio equipment. I have gotten almost all of my equipment there, and have loved it. They have a great selection of both old tube gear, and the new solid state stuff. I always enjoy coming!

Was looking for Power-Pole accessories, and they had an even larger selection than I expected. Friendly staff if a bit busy on a Saturday. Seemed to have a good used equipment selection as well.

Associated Radio is Kansas Citys Hamfest that is open 6 days a week. Fair prices. Helpful Service. You can even test drive that radio youre on the fence about. Try doing that at a Hamfest!Good selection of DMR equipment as well as the big ham radio brands. They carry models that have been tested by hams in the area, so youre not taking your chances with unknown DMR radio manufacturers.It is a smaller shop, so if you dont see what you want out on the retail floor, just ask. Its likely they have it behind the counter or can get it in for you quickly.

A small-ish but complete ham radio store here in Kansas City that has everything for the radio amateur. They even offer some custom cable building services for those who suffer from tired eyes and/or shaky hands.

Candy Store for Hams - very knowledgeable

Ham noobie here, and they had great information, absolutely no BS, no pressure sales, just great info, and more. I brought in my little Baofeng handy-talky, and an add-on mic for it. They tested both, and basically it was operator error, the equipment was fine. I picked up a great extendable antenna for my radio briefcase project, and a splitter cable to try digital modes on my Yaesu 757
