Awesome taco joint! Used to be a food truck but because they were so popular, they grew to a restaurant. Tons of menu items to fit any Mexican craving. They also sell beer and make fantastic Margaritas! There is also a small Mexican market in the restaurant. This should be your go-to place for mexican food. Did I mention the tacos ate Awesome! Try the Brisket Barbacoa taco...itll make your day!

Ive been to Taco Naco several times since they opened in the storefront. Chef Fernanda and her staff create some amazing tacos. Arguably some of the best in Overland Park. Im working my way through the lineup. My last date tried the vegetarian options and said they were excellent as well especially the mushroom tacos. Kudos to Chef Fernanda and her staff. The retail store has outstanding products as well. The selection of homemade salsas are excellent. They range from mild to extremely hot. They also showcase other Latino products produced in the Kansas City areaOverall youre missing out if you dont make the trip to Taco Naco.

HOLY GUACAMOLE. Whoever thought to put pomegranate seeds in guacamole was a genius. I dont know if Taco Naco was the first, but its the first place our team experienced it so well give them the credit! We ordered a platter of tacos to share at our lunch-and-learn because it hit all of our various food needs of our team. Even the non-mushroom fan vegan enjoyed the mushroom tacos. The market is adorable, the decor makes me feel like Im actually in Mexico. We are huge fans and will be back!

First time eating here and we got the Taco Array, which is all nine of their tacos. It was incredible. Not only does the food look attractive with their use of microgreens and other toppings, but the flavor of each taco was a unique experience. They have several options for vegetarians that were wonderful. Great staff and friendly service. Make sure you go during off times because they get very busy and no wonder. Best tacos ever. Dont forget to ask for their salsas too.

Taco Naco is an awesome neighborhood taco and burrito joint with a wide variety of salsas. Be sure to try the Peanut Matcha and Creamy Jalapeno varieties. They also have a shop attached where you can get all your Mexican food mainstays such as spices, produce, candies, salsas, sodas, and more. Be sure to look at everything they have to offer while waiting for your food. The staff is unbelievably friendly and if you ask for their recommendations, they wont steer you wrong.

Yummy! Tried Taco Naco for the first time today. I got a carne asada tostada, pork taco, and chips and queso. It was around $14 for everything. I ordered online and arrived about 15 minutes later and my bag was ready to go. When I got home and opened the first box, I loved all the colors I saw! The pickled onion, the radish, the lime and the cucumber made for a beautiful presentation. Fresh salsa was included and it was delicious. I also loved the carne asada tostada with cabbage. Fresh and crispy all in one! The chips and queso were equally tasty and had lots of tomatoes and cilantro. I will absolutely be back - so good!

Had each of the original tacos for dinner plus the egg & chorizo breakfast one. All were really good and flavor was great. Service was quick and easy. Restaurant is clean. Would like to try more of their food. Taco Tuesday is 3 tacos for 9 dollars. Not a bad deal, but it takes 6 tacos to fill me up. So, can be pricey, but I feel worth it. Glad they opened up, look forward to using the patio in the spring. Bonus, its a local owner. Support local!

Yall need to stop in for some fantastic tacos! Nice little place that took over the old Drivers bar spot. Has a little market to shop for some goods like salsa, tortillas, fresh veggies, etc.Now to the main attraction, the tacos! I went with their carne asada chimichurri, barbacoa, and potato mole taco. All of them were fantastic! They dont skimp on the ingredients and they were very flavorful. They make a mean queso to go with their fresh tortilla chips.

Place is clean service is great and the food presentation also great. I had the tacos carne asada and cochinita pibil and they are just ok. They did not warm the tortillas the proper way and the tortilla was harder and chewy. The cochinita look good but after the first bite I got a chunck of meat and that never happens when cook correct and also a lack of flavor. The carne asda was better but also lacking that after taste flavor that comes with a well made taco. Not a fan of the salsa either. Both the salsa roja and verde made with fresh vegies but no flavor at all very disappointing. I want to go on a different day and time and hope that today was just a bad dream.

This was our first visit, but I have picked up food from the market stall previously. Really like what they did with the space, its nice and open and has a nice outdoor seating area. We ordered the taco platter which was one of every taco (9) for $30. Everything was fresh and each taco had a distinct flavor. The platter came with a huge container of salsa verde so if you got chips with it you would be more than set! We also got queso which was a good standard white cheese version. The food came out quickly and a someone came by to check on us. My only negative were the styrofoam cups and containers. Our favorites were the barbacoa, the pork pastor, and I really enjoyed the unique mushroom mole.

I went on a fairly slow time on a Saturday evening. The music was so loud for a market/restaurant we couldnt hear the cashier as she was talking to us. I got the Carne asada and chicken Al Pastor taco my wife got the nachos. We both got a margetitta. I wanted to like this place but everything was below average. I was hoping for authentic style street tacos I got a lump of overcooked meat and a scoop of canned pineapples on a tortilla, the Carne asada was so overcooked it was chewy. My wifes nachos looked good and large there was probably a full bag of tortilla chips on the platter.. but only the top layer had toppings so really it was like a 1/4 nachos and 3/4 plain tortilla chips. The margaritas were strong, and very acidic whatever mix they had was a bit too sour for my taste. And we spent 50 dollars for 2 margaritas 2 tacos and nachos with a side of rice.. so not cheap. I wanted to like this place but it was pretty bad, I may give it another chance down the road but its gonna take a while to get the bad taste out of my mouth left by the first impression.

REAL STREET TACOS! Very filling too. Had two carne asada street tacos with the meat, cilantro, other stuff and added radishes that were provided. The green tomatillo [sp] sauce was awesome. Had about a 1/2 cup of Mexican rice that I didnt love but was good. And a Pacifico (Mexican beer!). Self serve and small grocery store. My friend who took me had a chicken burrito. The burrito was okay but the street tacos were better 😁. Definately will go back. Tacos werent cheap but VERY tasty!

Review №45

Nachos were good, as are the pork and steak meats. We did not try the chicken or potatoes or mole. The price is too high for the tacos in my opinion for the stale tortillas we received. They weren’t fresh and chewy like recently warmed tortillas should be but hard and stale for a soft tortilla. The chips were stale as well. We went for dinner so maybe they are better at lunch but stale tortillas at a taqueria days a lot and not in a great way. However, the churros were the best we’ve had in KC and are fried, not microwaved like most places in the city. The sauces that accompany them and the sprinkle of sugar both compliment well and will for sure be on our check the next time. Not bad for a soft open but definitely room to grow. Great balance of meat and extras, great pickled veggies and right balance of cilantro without too many onions. Not too spicy but could use a little more flavor in the meats. Would also like to see other traditional options like nopales or chicharones or agua fresca in the shop/menu.Definitely a great addition to this part of town and not much competition for comparable fare. Love the decor and feel of the restaurant although we didn’t stay long and got carry out. We will be back.

Don’t judge a book by its cover - the facade is a little underwhelming, but the interior look makes up for it 10 fold!
