Ordered a driving test. Paid for the reservation. Withdrew the money from the account. The manager who served was very good! I liked the car. There were some car problems and I refused and asked for a refund of the reservation. For today I am waiting for a refund for my reservation £ 99 7 days.They sent me an email that I have to send them all the bank account details, phone number and my email!Have you lost all my bank details? You took the money and you don’t know who paid for your car reservation !!!!I have had experience with many auto dealers. The last one was Arnold Clarke. I called them and said that I would not take the car, after 2 hours my account had the entire amount of the reservation !!!!There was no need to prove that it was me to reserve a car with you!This is my story with this dealer! It is up to you to decide further.P.S I was given a condition that if I do not provide everything that they asked of me, I will not receive the money back.

Mum and I made an emergency visit to Johnsons after a light on the dash came on, on the way up to Scotland. The lady on the parts counter was so kind and understanding and asked a mechanic to take a look straight away. The mechanic was also very helpful and explained the situation to us. I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism and assistance received from Jamie throughout our recent car purchase. He went out of his way to ensure that the car (second hand) was prepared ready for collection over the weekend rather than having to get the car delivered to our home address in Brighton during the following week. He has been extremely helpful - both pre and post sale -, communication has been excellent (we were sent a video of the car and were given regular updates) and most important of all very friendly and approachable. I would definitely recommend Oxford Mazda for anyone nationwide looking to buy a new or used car as even from 150 miles away, we felt re-assured by the accurate and informative communication throughout the sale process

My experience with Johnsons Mazda Oxford was pleasant, I got the feeling that they treat all their customers fairly and the same, no matter if you are purchasing second hand or brand new.I happened to purchase my car, just after the third lockdown so no doubt the dealership was very busy. The salesperson Joe was brilliant throughout to start and finish and I drove away as a happy customer. I will be a returning customer for services and even my next purchase.

Very disappointed with the overall service from this garage. The communication from them was appalling and they didnt wash or clean my car, like they said they would. It took ages to get anyone to answer the phone and to find out what was happening with my car. A bit of the back door inside my car was hanging off, the windscreen wipers werent working as well and the worse thing is, Ive found a couple of small dents in my cars bodywork. I cant be sure it was them, though they did have my car for a few weeks so who else could it have been. I cant prove it though, but I am definitely NOT going back to Mazda Oxford (or any Mazda garage). I really dont feel they care about the cars or the people. Ill stay local and find a really good mechanic who cares. My husband and I both have Mazdas, but we wont be going back to a Mazda garage for any service or repairs again! (that tells you something).

Arranged an appointment to test drive a car, on arrival was told that someone else was test driving the car, so we waited and the other customer actually bought the car so it was a complete waste of time. On leaving I asked the customer if they had an appointment (which apparently is a requirement) and they confirmed they did not and were passing. Turns out they saw the car prepared for test drive for our appointment and inquired there and then. Unapologetic staff, dont waste your time.

Staff were helpful enough, but I was left waiting for over half an hour before actually being served. The condition of the cars was not up to scratch, even for second hand. Regardless of the price or if it is second hand or not, the recommendation when pointing out bodywork issues should not be oh we can use a touch up pen on that. Other dealerships informed me that they will put in the work to actually get the damage properly sorted. Still, good enough selection for most, and a fairly easy location to get to.

Arranged a test drive, with a view to purchasing new vehicle. Unlike other dealers weve been to since COVID-19 emerged, Jonhsons require three forms of identification, the vehicle registration document of your current vehicle and charge £1 for sanitising their test car. We arrived on time but found the showroom empty. We waited 5 minutes and someone eventually emerged. They went to get the salesman. We waited some more. The salesman arrived about 10mins after our appointment time. He informed us that their test vehicle had been sold the day before so we couldnt have a test drive. We wont be using Johnsons again.

Always a worry when buying a car over the phone but service was fantastic. I was sent a personalised video of the car which showed up a couple of minor issues which were fixed before car was picked up. A full service and new mot were carried out along with a 12 month RAC warranty and 12 months breakdown cover. Nuno kept me informed of all progress during the transaction and my daughter is delighted with the car. Well worth the trip down from Glasgow and would buy from Johnsons again. Going past this place when it is dark is not nice, LED high power lights blare out shining at the roads and pavement causing danger to cars and those around and are far far too bright.There is not even a need or reason to have so many lights and more importantly such bright white ones.I have not shopped here but I would not either.This company clearly does not care about peoples eye health including my right not to be dazzled by high intensity spotlights.

HiIve had an engine inspection light coming on and off intermittently and 1 dealer said i needed a £500 part, took it into you guys and was dealt with fantastically well by Kirsty, who has now moved to Hyundai, and John the mechanic who said there was an inexpensive fix, which he did and between the pair of them all went well. I did have a brief introduction to Andy and he was equally as pleasant as the other 2, theres some good recruitment going on at this place. (the sales staff are friendly too when i turn up too early they let me in and offer to help) Well done Johnsons!

Very poor customer service from Joe Used Car Sales. I have bought two cars previously from this dealership and have always been treated well, so it was the first place I visited when thinking of charging my car. The salesman didnt seem interested. I felt more like an inconvenience to him than a valuable repeat customer. I ended up driving to Letchworth Mazda and buying it from there as the welcome and treatment could not have been more different

Since purchasing the car there has been a number of faults such as being supplied the car with 3 bold tyres and more; although I recognise mistakes happen it is the way in which they are dealt with which makes the difference. The salesman Rob Beer has been very unhelpful in getting things done and rude and confrontational. Having previously sold cars at a number of dealerships I have never experienced such poor customer service and certainly wouldn’t recommend.

Tried to get help for an amplifier failure on my car. Bose advised talking to local dealer who could raise a warranty claim. Dealer refused unless I booked my car in for an inspection which I would have to pay for despite this being a common issue with the model. Not helpful

I spent ages researching mid-sized vehicles but the Mazda 3 stood out as it came loaded with standard equipment, which you’ll need to spend thousands more to get on BMW, Audi or Mercedes models. When I walked into the Johnsons showroom, the Mazda 3 was sophisticated, sleek and definitely for me! I had contemplated buying online as I didn’t want to deal with a pushy salesperson. However I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a warm welcome from Maxine who was friendly and was able to answer all my questions, clearly and concisely. Bought an Approved Used Mazda 3 here, good service from test drive to sale and collection. Unfortunately i was unlucky as 1 week later i found i had no back brake pads left!!! This really should have been noticed before selling it to me but Johnsons Mazda were quick to realise their mistake and fix it in the most convenient way for me. This is why its worth buying with Mazda Aproved Used guarantees. The car was fixed in the closest Mazda dealer to me (at no cost obviously) and i got a replacement car whilst that was done, also got a complementary SatNav map upgrade.

Very disappointed with the service at Mazda Oxford. The car had a repair performed under warranty, which took a very long time (2-3 weeks, during which time I had no courtesy vehicle) and poor communication. Car then developed an oil leak, so it went back in, under warranty. Dealer/Mazda refused to repair under warranty, charged for an investigation of the oil leak, quoted a repair that was incorrect and 20 times the cost of the repair successfully performed by my local garage. Raised complaint with The Motor Ombudsman, which has now been open for almost a year now, partly due to tardy responses from Mazda Oxford. Very poor.

Had my Mazda 2 serviced here. This was the first time I had done a service, only having owned a car for a year. The staff were really helpful and explained everything. The booking process was really easy online. When it came to the service they had it done swiftly and my car came back nice and clean! I also really like the health check video that is sent out during the service, I found this really informative.UPDATE: Have also received great service recently when having my airbag changed (safety recall). I was having an issue with a flat tyre. They very kindly checked out the tyre and wheel for me free of charge and helped get to the bottom of the issue. They were friendly throughout while we waited for the RAC to turn up. Overall very, very impressed with the quality of customer service here despite how busy they were! Massive thanks to Amie who was an absolute star dealing with all of this.

Excellent service received from Maxine Fowles, when looking to replace my car recently with another approved used car. Although I last visited Oxford Mazda some 5 years ago (and didnt buy from them on that occasion), Maxine instantly recognised me and discussed what I might be interested in. Maxine clearly knows her cars and arranged a convenient test drive. Deciding upon something that was higher specked, but wasnt available from Oxfords stock. I found what I was looking for at Tamworth and Maxine arranged for this to be driven to Oxford, with no commitment to proceed. She even let me take her own company car (with the same engine) out on a Sunday morning to check that I was happy with the different engine design. The transaction proceeded smoothly and efficiently, with the whole process being explained clearly throughout. Complementary 7 day drive away insurance and car tax was all arranged, along with the superb Smartpluspolicy and Gen 3 paintwork protection to keep my car looking tidy in the coming years.I will certainly be returning when the time comes to replace my car and hopefully Maxine will be helping in that decision process.

Picked up my new Mazda 3 this week. Very happy with the car and extremely happy with the service I received, especially from Vince McCrea. (I also had excellent support from Eddie). Vinces attention to detail made the process easy and less painful - spending 20k can be painful! I am very appreciative of the information I had from Vince and the time he took to talk things through with me without ever attempting to pressurise me into agreeing to a deal. It makes a change to have a car salesman who doesnt look shifty!Thanks again gents!

The only people Mazda look after are themselves... go to Johnsons Mazda Oxford if you want to get ripped off because clearly spending 1000s of pounds with them doesnt make you a loyal customer and they think its acceptable to sell people cars that are death traps! AVOID! And leave a disabled mum without a car

With the assistance of Maxine Fowles, my wfe and I have bought a Mazda CX 5 SE-L D Auto from Johnsons of Oxford this week.We have not looked at Mazda before and were initially interested in the CX-3. A test drive confirmed the build quality and handling but it was a bit too small, so we started to look at the CX-5. Having identified a 2017 model for sale at Johnsons Mazda Oxford we booked a test drive and decided it was the car for us. We liked the design of the car and Maxines enthusiasm and informative style confirmed what we thought - that Mazda have something special. Maxine assessed our Jazz Hybrid for part-exchange and put our case to her boss to get us a good deal.My wife and I would like to record the role that Maxine played in this. Her approach was informative, not pushy, and helpful without the usual sales hype and this suited our own approach to things.Thank you Maxine!
