Steak Burrito was excellent I could only eat half. I fly in every couple weeks and this is a must stop place for me. I have had most everything on the menu and never been disappointed.

Authentic cuisine. Friendly staff. Great salsa. Very happy with the experience.I had a lamb taco and two shedded beef tacos. The shedded beef had some heat, it was on point.

Fantastic, authentic street tacos. Food is well priced, delicious, and comes out quick. This is a great place to drop in and grab something thats better than fast food, but just as quick. If youre looking for chips and salsa when you sit down and rice and beans with everything, this is not your spot. This is a street taco restaurant and I highly recommend it.

Got the shredded beef, chicken, lamb, head and pineapple bbq street tacos. The pineapple was the only edible one. The others were the worst tacos Ive ever had.

Phenomenal authentic Mexican food. Very reasonably priced ($1.75 per taco), comes out quick and hot. Try the tacos al pastor (BBQ pork), asada (grilled steak) and bistek encebollado (steak fried with onions).

Expensive if you want anything extra, chips are hard. Did not feel welcomed, but my burritos were good.

Fantastic authentic Mexican food. I have been there several time and their tortas are fantastic. I also love their chips and their queso dip. Their tacos are also quite good, and relatively cheap as well.

I love this place! The tacos are delicious, the prices are good, the staff are very friendly, what more do you want? I especially like that you can get tongue and cheek (cabeza). Al pastor (BBQ pork) is really good too. I get these every time I come. My picky eater daughter likes the chicken torta. My adventurous daughter loves the Al pastor tacos. Quesadillas are also very good.

Its a Mexican grocery that sells some pretty good tacos.Portion size is relatively low, but mostly fair. Its a good thing to try if youre in the area.They have some really cool and obscure herbs and spices!

This place has the best street tacos that you will find in Mississippi. All the food is just like I get when I am in Mexico. Don’t confuse this food with the normal “Tex-Mex” food that you get every where. This is authentic Mexican street food. Yes, the tacos are plain and simple just like they are in Mexico and man are they good!!! Don’t be shy, order things that you like even if they are not on the menu. I have orders pork nachos here before and they are the best that I have ever had. AMAZING!!!! The service is fast and the food is cheap. This should be one of the busiest restaurants in Oxford. I guess that this is just another great food secret. Pork tacos and chicken tacos are my favorite tacos here but they offer many more types. Try it all, you will love the food at this authentic Mexican restaurant.

This is the best taco place in Oxford. Theres no debate. The food is fresh and inexpensive and delicious. The service is always very good. Its never too crowded because this place is a hole in the wall that very few people know about. 100% recommendation for anybody visiting Oxford and craving a good taco. No other place in town is this authentic and this good. Also, dont sleep on the queso, its unbelievably good

I was hesitant to write this review from the fact that the employees or maybe the owner was not polite to my friend or me. It made me not want to come back. But, I finally gave it one more chance because the tacos are so damn cheap and pretty tasty, and to my surprise they were extremely polite, and went above and beyond to make me want to come back. I was happily pleased with this. Now I eat here like 3 times a week because it’s so convenient, I call and the tacos are ready in 5 minutes, the time it takes to drive there, perfect.It puts Taco Bell to shame, and it’s like a 0.40¢ more for Taco Shop’s tacos and they are ten times better, and 100000% faster than Oxfords Taco Bell.

Excellent Street style tacos of many varieties!! Everything from Cabeza to shredded chicken! We had six different tacos, all were very good. There was no dessert offerings but there was a bar and the waitress Ellina was amazing! Definitely trying this restaurant again and again!!

I love this place with all of my heart. Order a plate of chorizo tacos, and a side of chips and queso. Squirt lime over your tacos, maybe a little green sauce, then pour the queso over the tacos. Its my favorite thing in the world. Also: tip well! The Taco Shop is a family-owned Oxford staple. I hope it never goes away

Mundo Latino, or The Taco Shop as the majority call it, is a fantastic place to eat. The food is actually authentic, because the cooks care about what they are making. The servers are friendly and want you to enjoy your dinning experience. Even the items you can purchase besides the food that is served are rare. It comes as close to a street-food restaurant in Latin America as is economically possible in this area.10/10 would eat again

Absolutely love this place. Decent price for great food. Its a small hole-in-the-wall type restaurant which adds to its charm for me but may come off as dirty to others so minus one star for that. Service is great and their chips are amazing. Cheese dip is a little too watery at times but overall good. I recommend the sausage taco. Lamb is also good choice.

The best, most authentic Mexican tacos Ive had east of the Mississippi. Im a Southern California native and my expectations are very high. They offer the most authentic list of meats and execute the preparation perfectly. My favorite is the al pastor. This place is an Oxford gem!

About the most authentic Mexican food youll find anywhere in Oxford, and pretty inexpensive, to boot! Its worth the trouble finding this hole-in-the-wall to get to eat here if you like traditional Mexican fare.

Love this place. Very authentic. Has the better Mexican cokes made with sugar instead of corn syrup. Several types of tacos are available as well as a few other menu options.

The taco shop was dishonest with the bill. I didnt notice it at first, but they charged more than the price with a coupon. Double check the price. Not only were they dishonest about the price, but the burrito was completely mediocre; the sparse amount of chicken the burrito had was too dry. The cheese dip is basically water, you have to be very careful not to drip it before it gets to your mouth and cant really tell that its cheese. I would not recommend this place.

Nice place, great flavor, real tacos

Authentic tacos and tortas (phone cards, Mexican candy, and the other usual taqueria market fare), typical if youve been to a taqueria before. Lengua (beef tongue) was good, same as for the chorizo and barbacoa (pork and pineapple, but not goat). My only mistake was not ordering was the Spanish-speaking clients had. Be sure to check an app called Hooked as it will usually save you at least a few dollars.
