The people at Paducah Shooters Supply are really nice and seem to be helpful. The gunsmith does great work. Unfortunately thats where the kudos stop. When Remington declared bankruptcy I called the Remington factory and the customer service department recommended I send my rifle to Paducah for repair. I did just that after contacting them and they said, No problem. Over two months later they still hadnt even looked at it! When I would call they apologized and said they hadnt got around to it. In disgust I contacted the Vice President of the new restructured Remington Arms Co. I explained the problem and asked why they would recommend a facility with such extremely poor customer service. Lo and behold three days later I was notified my rifle had been repaired and they would be shipping it back to me. The price was reasonable and two days later I received the rifle. You decide, A coincidence?Like I said, everyone I talked to there was very nice and the gunsmith did a great job but you may want to consider sending your firearm somewhere else.

Great new interior. A lot of new and interesting things. The owner Lynn is very knowledgeable on guns and ammunition. They have a large bow selection with all the accessories you need. Very friendly staff. And all the brands you trust.

I usually just deal with Chance, because he knows his stuff. He always makes sure Im taken care of when I shop there. Shooters is the only place that has parts, even hard to find ones. Theyre a little high on their ammo lately, but everyone else is too. Always pretty good people to deal with.

I am not rating this store based on anything beyond their control (ie: ammo shortage), but rather on what they CAN control. Lately, with ammo short in retail stores, I have been by this store (which I normally do not frequent) a few times. I also bought a gun about a year ago here. The gun was overpriced a bit, but that was on me for not doing my research. However, my issues and why I chose to do this review comes down to friendliness and customer service, as I will leave them alone for their price gouging on ammo. After all, it is business. I will likely never be back simply because I do not enjoy being treated poorly when I shop in YOUR store! I come from a family that owned a small business and people would line up to say nice things about how they were treated, but instead, leaving this store made me feel like one of the James Gang leaving Dodge City. A man asked me what I was looking for and when I told him, and he did not have it, he just said, Naw and turned his back on me. I had another question, to which I got the same response. Another time, when I actually did find what I needed, the cashier treated me like I was somehow a burden to her by buying from the store that employs her!! I will give 2 stars instead of 1 because there have been some people here that were nice to me. But really, when I go to a store, especially a ma and pa store like this, I am looking for friendliness and great customer service more than a product itself. Work on your friendliness!

Ordered a SIG M400 Tread coil AR. Quoted $1250.00. Paid $1100.00 down. After several weeks waiting and a couple phone calls I was told that THEY will call me when it comes in, no need to keep calling. So another 2 weeks I dont call, I decide to go to the store. Wow, theres my gun for sale on the rack. I ask to see it. Marked $1259.99, Im aggravated and ask why the gun Ive ordered and been waiting for is for sale and I never got a call. They tell me sorry, everyone makes mistakes. It was the only one they had also, they did not order extras. I go to check out and they now want the $1259.99 as marked. After informing them I was told $1250 even they say, hey man I just work here. Whatever, I get home and the gun scope is missing the battery and tool. This place is a joke.

Do not take your 1911 (or any gun) for gunsmith work here. I needed a new barrel fitted to my 1911. I heard Shooters was a good place for gunsmithing. when the barrel was 1st fitted I was told I could not use the full length guide rod that was in the 1911 so I bought a factory guide rod and spring. 3 shots from the first magazine the slide locked up halfway with empty casing so I took it back to Shooters. they told me I couldnt use the buffer that came with the replacement guide rod I bought. the pistol shoot ok after that but the barrel had a lot of slop and movement to it but thought nothing of it and put it in the safe. its been 2 years and I decided to get the pistol out and shoot again but field stripped it and oil it. this is what I found a horrible milling and welding job. Im surprised the lug or barrel link did not break when I shot it last. let this be a warning to anyone considering using them for gunsmith work. anyway their gun prices are normal, no deals, and they want new gun price on their fire damaged guns.

Sent a shotgun to be reblued here on Remingtons approval of the store. One year later and 500.00 Down the drain I received my shotgun almost in worse shape than when I shipped it in. I had to threaten getting a lawyer just to get it finished. You can build a house in less time than it took to get this gun reblued. Never again!

I have came here several times in the past 2 month. I do have to say that they have had what I needed every time. The reason for the 2 stars is because of a few guys in the gun shop tried to low ball me on what they will give me for a gun. I understand they have to make money, but to offer you $100 on a gun that is well over $400 new, and yes my gun is in like new condition, knowing they will mark it around $375 for sale is BS. Sure, make some money on it but don’t try to rip your customers off while doing it. They gave my buddy $150 for a rifle, he wasn’t thinking clearly that day, and now it’s on the rack for $500. This was my last time to ever walk into that shop.

Went in to get ammunition for my gun and the really tall guy behind the counter was rude! This is the last time I will shop at this business. My husband and daughter came to this store looking for a gun for her and after looking at 3 guns was told, You just need to make a decision . Absolutely no reason for the behavior of the employees and their rudeness!

I went to this place in search of a common universal ammunition that should be carried at all sporting goods store, 9mm rounds.The seller seemed kind of odd from the start but nevertheless I trusted him judgment. Soon another guy walks from the back and throws down 2 zip lock bags of out of date ammunition. Now I know ammunition does not have a actual expiration date but from the wear and tear of them and also noticing the bullets being mashed into the casings that the shells weren’t gonna fire. But the fact that they acted like those were the only rounds in the store, I went ahead and purchased them.1 hour later I find myself with 2 jammed firearms my Glock 26 and G2C. Now if this was a real life situation I’d been dead fired one round and all the rest didn’t cycle to through...Thanks Caleb for nothing...That’s soooooooo not American!!!Get it together you guys.

I havent gone there in years because last time I was there for over 2 hours, spent over $300 and not 1 person said a word to me the whole time. I thought I would give them a chance again today. Well not only was the lady sitting at the front but she looked right at me as I walked in but still no appreciation for my business. I will never return. Their prices werent any better either.

Being from Columbus, OH we never really have nice shooting ranges near me so we have to drive outside of Columbus. So when i was in Paducah for a business trip I was pleased to find this place. I liked the range because it was small and simple and i didnt have a 3 round burst limit like I do in OH. I also picked up enough brass that was left behind to reload a small army lol

Bid on an item on gunbroker. I was going to wait six days to make payment after buying the item. Gunbroker has a 7 day policy. They reported me as a non paying buyer after 4 days. Please review Gunbrokers policies before reporting people.

I took my Remington 700 in for the trigger recall issue. These guys had it fixed in just a couple of hours. Nice store, good gunsmith, friendly and fair to deal with.

90% of the staff acts as if you are a burden when you ask any question or request anything. Had my rifle sent to them in November of 2017 to be repaired. They sent it to Remington after I called for 8 months trying to figure out the issue so I could have the gun back in time for deer season. Remington sent the gun back to Paducah shooter supply and I was never informed. I called three different times in two weeks trying to get my gun back and was told the person I needed to talk to was either not there or on lunch. They mail the gun back (still not operable), the gun stock is chipped, the screw holding the trigger gaurd is stripped. Would not recommend them at all.

I don’t even know where to begin with 1 of the 2 bad experiences with this store. In the first event over a yr ago my gun was kept for 6 months being “worked” on. Round 2 going on 2 months. My understanding is Blackhawk sends a new stock to be reinstalled instead of having the thing fixed. Gary (nice gentleman) says stock has been sent to store a long time ago. So all anybody has to do is put new stock on apparently. Have visited store and called more times than I can count. Finally Gary from Blackhawk just sent me the new stock and I will just put it on myself. Got my doubts if they even know where old stock is with all my custom parts or even where my barrel and action are. Terrible experience and lost customer for life!

Dont bother going, academy sports or rural King will works just fine. Staff is unhelpful and act as if your a burden to deal with when only asking a question. Inflated egos and know it all syndrome permeate the store. Unless your a family friend, big money or kin, youll be looked over and not helped while the cashiers stand behind the counter talking about customers (badly) or ego stroking each other. Spent an hour in the store on my 2 trip gere and only as I walked out empty handed the older woman working the front just said bye like I was keep her from going home or something. Also check any guns you buy from here, it seems to me by check many makes and models they must get all the 2nd hand factory rejects because many, many new guns had scratches on them and looked off.

Ive shopped here for a few years and got a few guns from there always nice people and helpful. The pistol range is not bad over all not a bad place!!

My son messed up his sx3 and Shooters had the gun for 7 months, after numerous phone calls and us stopping by, they tell us today that it cannot be fixed and have known this for some time and no one bothered to tell us. We have purchased several guns from Shooters and never thought we would be treated like this..Definitely lost my buisness....

Gunsmithing department needs work. Bought brand new defective gun. shooters, instead of addressing the defect, decided it would benefit them more to mistreat the customer. Good luck to any future customers, they lost my gun business with that event.

More like Paducah Hunters Supply. Staff was friendly. I asked if they happened to have an ak mag release and the guy at the counter directed me outside to the repair dept. The repair guys asked for what kind of ak... ok, a wasr. The guy asked the lead gunsmith and he told me that wasrs are different and he would not have one that would fit................ . . .... lol ok, thanks anyways.

If I were able to give them no stars I would have. I sent my Remington 870 express tactical in because it was rusting no matter if it was in the safe or not. And if you didnt already know this Paducah shooters supply is the place that Remington uses to do some of theyre warranty work. So the gun got sent to them in November of 2015 with the rust issues. So knowing that Remington had a lot going on with the 700 triggers i didnt expect it back fast nor did i expect them to take this long. They had the gun until the first of the year, and i called them to see what the status was. They tell me that they are working on getting with Remington and getting the matter resolved, they said that they would call me with any update. so i waited....and waited...then about 3 weeks later called again. The head gunsmith was out but they took my name and number down and said that they would give me a call with an update the following day. The same thing was said for the following 3 to 4 days, but i never got a call or email. Finally I called again and was able to speak to the head gunsmith, he tells me that my gun was getting a new receiver.....but I told him yet again that the entire gun rusts not just the receiver.....he said that that was what Remington said to do.Well I called Remington and they couldnt answer anything and were completely useless. They said that they would call me with answers, but no call. I emailed Remington twice never got a response. I call PSS again and they said that they were going to send my gun back and I should get it on Friday. Well Monday I still had no shotgun so I called again and PSS said that they sent it on Friday ( which is not what I was told i was told that they had already sent it) and that I should be getting it one day during the week. I said whatever just please give me a tracking number for the order so that I know when and where my gun will be. He says ok i can do that but Ill have to email it to you.....I said thats fine just please send it me.....never got that email. I called Remington to complain and ask why they never got back to me and they acted like they never knew anything about the ordeal and said that they would get back to me. My gun just came in today ( 02/23/2016) with no way of knowing that it would be here i just lucked out by my wife being home when UPS showed up. And guess what....rust residue was all over the white packing in the box and the new receiver that they took almost 4 months to put on was also rusted.My advice is if you ever have any warranty work that needs to be done to your Remington just pay the money and have a gunsmith do it. They will just send it to these idiots and they will put your gun in a corner and leave it for God knows how long.

I needed a bolt handle replaced on my rifle. let me tell you if you need some gunsmithing done, it will be faster if you just go down to the community college, and go through the gunsmithing program, then fix it yourself!!! do you like being put on hold and tranfered from gunsmithing to archery to archery back to gunsmithing and then back to the front desk dozens of times? then just give them a call!!! you wont have to talk to a single pleasant person!!! you just sit there on hold! I have had 3 years of terrible customer service and have been let down down the last time. The low prices, and weapon selection do not make up for all the other B.S. that you have to deal with. From rude people behind the counter who cant seem to find the time of day to help you let alom answer a phone when you call!! you have lost my business and my families and friends business. if anyone needs gunsmithing done you can go call the guys at First Choice in Murray of they cant fix it themselves they can at least get you in contact with someone who can! and there selection and prices arent to bad either!

We purchased a new muzzle loader from Shooters Supply and my husband could not get it sited in. I called the store, took it back down there and they worked on it for several hours. They finally decided the muzzle had not been drilled properly at the factory (Shame on Thompson). As soon as they decided that was the problem they replaced the barrel. My husband loves the gun. Everyone in the store has been super in all of our dealings with them. We wont be going anywhere else, unless we have to since we live out of state.I highly recommend them to everyone!Anyone can sell you something, its the service after the sale that matters.Great people!
