Prices to high.

This location is best used for large events in open air. It is located in a central spot, making it easy to attend any large gathering no matter the neighborhood you come from.

Not much to see or do here but its a time honoured landmark in Galați so its a good place to rest on a walk around town

I dont why thats a touristic attraction....Theres basically nothing. Just a few benches and some kind of foutaine which smells like chlorine sometimes.

Had a coffee and a croissant across the street. Under the Chinese restaurant and it was awesome.

Great place to sightsee and make some photos.

Busses for national and international transport stop around here.

Total abandonment. Lack of total maintenance. Too bad this iconic place for our city. It was the pride of the city. Now it means nothing to us. Great pity

Made in 1974-1975 by the late technician Mircea Roibu, the artesian well located in front of the House of Culture of the Trade Unions, Dandelion, has a little known history.According to Dr. Gelu Kahu, the history of Dandelion comes from the years when the former INETOF was built in Galaţi. The propeller machine was imported from the Japanese company Nakashima, which was headquartered in Okayama City. Here the technician Mircea Roibu saw the original dandelion, and when he returned home, he did not leave until he made, at the Galati Shipyard, a similar artesian well. Thus, the most famous artesian of Galaţi has a twin sister in Japan, at Okayama. Also, few people know that, in addition to Elicea (made in 1973) and Păpădia on which we focus today, Mircea Roibu gave Galaţi two more works of art that became symbols: the works Icarus (in 1988), located in front of the headquarters of the former Museum of Visual Art and the artesian fountain with stainless steel waves, entitled “Danube Waves” (made in 1997), near the Golden Horseshoe.Source: Free Life
