Wow guys! They put cornflakes on their French toast and it works soooooo well. I love the food here. So flavorful and simple at the same time. Very warm and busy atmosphere. Lots of vegetarian options and they’re all good. If you have a thing for hot coco like I do, you’ll LOVE the hot coco from here.

Didnt have to call ahead to make a reservation. Walked in and was seated within 2 minutes. Breakfast was excellent I recommend this place to everybody they have something for everyone.

Ive been coming since childhood, but moved 14 years ago. Ive made an effort to make sure to stop by on my 3rd return to the area, and Im glad the golden toast tastes just as good as I remember. I think the only difference was the size of my appetite and that syrups not free (though as a kid I never paid lol)

Worst breakfast rip-off of my life and I’m 72 ! $14 for biscuits and gravy with minuscule amounts of bacon and sausage ! 25 years around Humboldt and it is in no way epicurean heaven ! I’ve cooked professionally myself but I was in awe of picayune portions and also feel that they probably know how to cook better but are just paddling their profits like everyone else ! Took an hr and 20 minutes to get oatmeal and potato cakes all just because on line orders gwt youre priorities straight.takw care of your customers who make the effort to din inn.

Great food. While we were seated reasonably quickly, it took 90 min from when we walked in til we got food. It would have been nice if they had warned us, but I guess we should have been clued in by a full restaurant without anyone eating.

This isnt your mothers breakfast spot. Instead, they serve wonderfully spiced and crafted meals, with large proportions and specials offered every day based upon what can be sourced locally. I will never drive through Eureka in the morning again without stopping here for breakfast.

Tad bit on the pricey side, but my breakfast was definitely good and the service was also a thumbs up.I would stop by again when or if Im back in town.I also noticed a Lemonosa (lemonade and champagne) which I would have loved to try a few if I had a designated driver... Maybe next time.

They took covid measures seriously. Kept people limited and apart. Used disposable items such as ketchup packets. Wore masks correctly.My order wasnt what I expected as a potato pancake, I was expecting it to look like a pancake. I uploaded a picture.The juice was amazing. I rarely order juice, and cant recall the last time I had fresh squeezed. I wish I had ordered a large one. This alone may force me to come back.Service was good. A small pot of coffee was provided so I never ran out and minimized contact.

Me and my wife have lived here most our life and love to try some of the most delicious local restaurants, as we do and have for so many years, and this place has always been a regular footprint for us, thank you for being here for everyone and making some of the best food.Out of the millions of times we go here we have only had one bad situation and yesterday was another that put the total to 2 situations the food was out of this world but the service was terrible I could not get help from anyone that often and saw the main waiter at the podium berrade 3 different delivery drivers while we were here at one point yelled and told one to leave and nothing he said was his problem..just unprofessional and rude the driver guy was waiting for a pickup for 20 minutes; the same waiter had also ignored us for a few minutes after getting his attention and he has always been a very nice guy. This is unfortunate enough for me to allow you guys to fix whatever issues is going on before we return again.Wishing you the best.you have great food and most great service but please dont bring any hate or rudeness to our community.

The food is great and the service is accommodating and polite. The outdoor area can get a little windy but they have propane heaters that help. Otherwise great to eat out on a sunny day.

We are from out of town and were passing through craving some good breakfast... I am sure glad we found this little gem! We ordered delicious breakfast sandwiches which were FRESH and the biscuits definitely baked that morning!! The place itself is a little run down, but the food was top notch and the staff was very friendly 👍😀

Had outside breakfast here Friday. We sat outside, I was a little worried it would be loud and smelly being so near 101. Was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The food was excellent. Coffee is always hot and they leave the carafe on the table. The waitress was prompt and checked on us often. The prices seem high, until you get your meal. It’s obviously fresh ingredients and plenty of food. They follow Covid-19 precautions too.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Biscuits and gravy really night lovey mushroom sauce gravy.

Great for vegan/vegetarian fare as well as the carnivores. Only ever visited for breakfast but have never had a bad meal. The benedicts are great but try the original fare. The potato cake offerings are particularly delish.

Safety protocol was superb. Temperature check upon being seated, and all employees properly wearing facial coverings. Excellent food and service as usual. Kudos GH!

The potato cakes are the BEST breakfast food around! The juice (especially the apple) is hand done and it’s so freaking good. I love it there and eating especially in the early morning when I have a craving!

The Best Local Restaurant In my opinion! Best food majority of staff is professional and helpful the cook is a MONSTER Compliments to this fast and phenomenol cook I love ANY of the Benedicts they have as well as the mimosas!! I would have given a 5 star although I seem to have the best results with all of the girls that work here they help so much and are so in tune with the job, but unfortunately I have been going here for years and during the pandemic I am unable to come in and enjoy as much as I would like to so I usually use doordash but my personal in store experience are sadly the same with my doordash drivers I have been considering canceling some of my orders lately considering how rude one of the male employees the younger Latin server, I had even after my experience with him had asked my doordash driver to leave the phone call on when asking talking with the server only to hear how unconcerned and rude he was and does not seem to have a concept of being helpful just more focused on him and not the customers, with ANY of the girl servers even when I experienced over the years as I have witnessed 8 out of 10 of my orders are always at least 3 times faster because they actually help as well as care about the customers time its not the cook he is known in the city for one of the fastest and on top cooks in eureka I have waited and held my tounge for a few months until this last time, but after hearing on the phone and witnessing first hand these constant situations I will probably be eating here less please understand we need to be supportive of eachother and not rude please do not bring your personal issues to work it is a domino effect and effects everyone it touches.

The food was pretty good, the place is like a normal Cafe its not really fancy. its a great local restaurant take your family on a Sunny afternoon they do have outdoor seating which is nice if its not super cold.

Lots of options. My daughter enjoyed her biscuits and gravy but I expected a little bit better quality on my eggs Benedict my tomatoes were translucent falling apart and slimy and my all of the avocado was brown.

Took over 20 mins for one side of hashbrowns. Thats it! Hashbrowns... and it was NOT busy.

Best American breakfast

Overpriced and underwhelming.Ordered the Large farm boy. I got two eggs, a solitary miniature soggy waffle and 4 emaciated slices of bacon. At over $20 if you order the optional side of potatoes I wouldnt expect to leave hungry. I was bummed.My girlfriend ordered a strawberry banana crepe which kinda reminded me of a balloon. It was round, thin, and full of basically nothing.I heard this place used to be great.I went home and made real breakfast.

Great food and friendly staff! Golden Harvest has THE BEST orange juice I have ever tasted. When Im in Humboldt, this is the place I eat at for breakfast nine times out of ten. I recommend the Country Fried Steak with biscuits and gravy and a pancake as sides! Talk about a bunch of great food for one price!

The staff are super helpful and friendly, the food is yummy, and the mochas are too addicting! It’s pricey but it’s a great place to treat yourself when you’re looking for tasty food. Allison is the sweetest hostess and makes the best drinks!

I did find though that they have a menu option for ordering two of the same item at a huge discount, so while a steak breakfast burrito is around 11 bucks, for 2 bucks more you can get 2, thereby making it economical to take one home or feed 2. So that is very nice!

Not worth the price

I love the potato cakes as I am a savory breakfast guy. The seasoning on the potatoes is great and with bacon mixed in, hollandaise drizzled over, and fried chicken strips on top of that it makes for a killer breakfast. My fellow esters had variations of eggs Benedict, also delicious as I had to try a bite. I also sampled the side of fruit which was loaded perfectly sweet and ripe fruit! Coffee is a little spendy here unfortunately, so we all skipped it to keep the tab reasonable.. expect to pay 9-15 dollars per plate without coffee. Three of us ate and the bill was under 40 after tax but before the tip. Service was good.

Food is good every time. Service is good every time. Can be crowded. It is spendy, but they do use fresh local high quality ingredients, but still higher price then normal spots that probably aren’t as good.Fresh oj and the coffee is really good.

Sunday brunch via Golden Harvest was the perfect choice while visiting Eureka. I had the Blue Scramble special and it did not disappoint. Did I mention the amazing biscuits yet? Other choices at our table were the potato pancake and crepes. Yum to everything. They did not disappoint.

The Calif. Benedict was very good on the bisquit. Hollandaise was really good! Service was top notch and the coffee was good. Sunday was crowded after 10:15 but we did not have to wait around at 9:30. However it is worth the wait.

Used to like this place but the prices went way up and quality went way down. How do you make gravy WITH bacon and sausage have no taste? Its a mystery that theyve managed to solve. And it was presented as a cold biscuit with a bowl of gravy on the side. We will not be going back any time soon.

My husband and I love to eat here. It is a friendly and absolutely delicious place for breakfast or lunch. Be aware that it does close early and so lunch is your last meal option there. I can say the food is well worth getting up early or going out of your way to make it for lunch.

I dislike writing bad reviews, especially when it comes to a dining experience. I use to manage a restaurant and fully understand the hard work and stress that comes with a day of serving/ cooking/ and bar tending. The food that we got here was fantastic, the homemade cottage cheese being a real treat. It makes me want to leave a two star rating but the waitress, on the other hand, was lackluster in every form. She came to our table twice. To take our order and to deliver our check. When we waited for over fifteen minutes for her to come take our payment, we went to the front counter and were told we had to wait (twenty minutes) for her to come off her break or just leave our full payment, since they were not allowed to make change. I had to catch my flight home and was forced to leave over a fifteen dollar tip that was not deserved. I hope it was worth it, because I will not be returning. Its not a great business practice to make the customer feel like youve stolen from them.
