Excellent Audiologist. Dr. Curtis spent a very lot of time testing my hearing and hearing aides. She explained everything as we went. The high-tech equipment she used was incredible. Very, very knowledgeable, honest and professional. Previous to meeting Dr. Curtis I spent $4,500.00 at another place for hearing aides for nothing. My previous hearing aides were never set up correctly and weren’t working correctly. I was back to them 6 or 8 times in 3 years. They never did have them right.Jim L.

My 4-year-old bonked her ear on the couch and she started complaining of a clogged ear. I took her to our pediatrician, and they couldnt test her hearing because of excessive ear wax. Then they could get the wax out of her ears. The tool they used was too big, and then they tried to turn on a loud machine and shoot water in her ear. It was terrifying for my daughter, so we had to leave with her ear still clogged.A friend recommended Dr. Curtis, and I am so grateful we went. She had toys for my daughter to play with. She made the appointment fun and stress-free. She explained everything she was going to do in a non-threatening way, was professional, and knowledgeable. The tool she used was the correct size and efficiently did the job. My daughter could hear clearly again!We are so thankful for Dr. Curtis and her practice!

A huge thank you to Dr. Curtis for fitting me with custom ear plugs. I work in a dental office as a surgical assistant and am exposed to a lot of drill and suction noise. The earplugs are far superior to the simple silicone earplugs that I just purchased online last year. I highly recommend investing in some custom earplugs for a dental office setting, concert going, or even working in the yard with lawn mower noise etc. They allow me to hear talking volumes but block all the damaging drill noise. The VA sent me to Sounds of Life for hearing tests regarding a claim I made as a result of my hearing loss. I was so impressed with Dr. Curtiss knowledge, compassion and sincerity that I talked to my wife and suggested she make an appointment with Dr. Curtis. She had purchased hearing aids 3 years ago and after 12 visits still could not use them. The hearing aids cost $4,000.00 and we were very disappointed. In one 2 hour visit she was tested and adjusted and now is using her hearing aids! Thank you Dr. Curtis!

I cannot recommend Sounds of Life Hearing Center enough. When the big hospitals systems couldnt get me in when I had water in my ear for over 2 weeks (or so thats what I thought it was) followed by constant ringing, Dr. Curtis got me in right away at a time that was convenient for me.Dr. Curtis is the best kind of healthcare provider in that she is warm, actually cares about you, passionate about her work, and incredibly intelligent. Not only was I able to hear again after leaving her office, but I no longer had the ringing in my ear. She explained what was wrong with me and everything that she was doing. I felt relaxed and comfortable the whole time.I will never go anywhere else for my ear and hearing care!

One of the hardest things about being an audiologist with hearing loss is that it’s very difficult to test and treat yourself. When I need for my hearing aids to be reprogrammed, Dr. Curtis is who I go to. I could hear the /s/ sound for the first time in over a year because of her programming skills. Highly ethical, extremely compassionate and smart! I wish she still lived in Florida so I could see her more often. There’s no one else I’d rather take care of me.
