Both of my kids have taken lessons at The Music Room and we have managed to hit quite a few instruments and genres - brass, woodwind, vocal and strings. Ive always been impressed with the commitment and passion of the teachers for sharing and developing musical skill and appreciation. It has been interesting to experience the range of individual approaches to teaching and motivating. The common thread has been a willingness to genuinely work with my kids to build their skill, confidence and competence. Theres always just a great vibe there, too, though that has diminished a bit during COVID as hanging out to wait during your childs lesson isnt done as much as it was pre-COVID. But there is generally good music playing (or someone talented - staff or student practicing) and its a great place to sit and chill.

My 5 year old just started piano classes in summer this year and is making good progress learning and familiarizing the notes and how to play. We look forward to him learning more in future years and maybe even other instruments!

Great place! My daughters go here for vocal and guitar lessons. Steve on the guitar is awesome and Ethan for vocals is tops. But for me, hanging out while the girls do their thing, I think best part is Oscar. Super dope. Definitely recommend.

The Music Room is a mandatory store to shop if you are looking for great music lessons and good selection of instruments (rentals too!).Being a long time customer, I can say that TMR has been essential to the musical education of my kids (drums and piano). The staff and teachers are extremely knowledgeable and polite, and the atmosphere is hip and fun.This year I finally mustered the courage to start voice lessons, and now I am experiencing the “why did I take so long to do this” syndrome.Highly recommend!

Really friendly and knowledgeable staff here! Picked up my first Ukulele yesterday which was actually of good quality that didnt cost an arm and leg. This will definitely be my go to music store in the future. Its nice to know that there are shops out there that dont just want to milk you of your hard earned money.

Great place for an enthusiast, aspiring musicians, beginners or even just explorers. They offer variety of instruments and materials as well as personal lessons. They dont have a huge selection of instruments as some of the competition but their staff makes up for that being very friendly and informative. Definitely recommend the place.

Awesome place! I walked in having not played since 5th grade (two decades ago) and everyone was super nice and helpful. I tried the music lessons for a while and highly recommend - Danielle was my teacher. I stopped the lessons due to work limitations but recently purchased my violin (life goal) at a great 20% discount! If youre looking for a great place as an adult or any age (wouldve loved this store as a child!)

If you want to learn how to play an instrument, dont take lessons here. It may be good for children, but for the adult, not so much. Lots of theory, folk songs out of a book. A year or so of lessons, and I couldnt play a thing, 4wks of lessons elsewhere and I can play 5 rock songs, this sums up the wasted money. Also instruments and gear over priced, and not gig quality.

A great hometown music store!!! Not only do they have a wonderful selection of guitars, and amplifiers, but they also have orchestral instruments, sheet music, and lessons, all of which at very reasonable prices. The lessons there are friendly and helpful, not to mention fun. All together, I give this place an enthusiastic two thumbs up!

Great folks!! I needed some sheet music in my hand very quickly and they were kind enough to locate this for me, digitally buy it, and have a print out ready for me when I arrived in a few hours. Great and friendly service!!

Walked in this place for the first time being a non musician. Looks like a great selection of instruments and several training rooms. They have two floors of products and friendly and knowledgeable staff who can help you purchase. This is on the corner of brockway and slade.
