The reason for the 3 stars is from 2 visits. The very first time I was there and my most recent visit. The first visit, awful smell permeating the whole store, had to walk out. Second visit went a bit better but then I got to checkout. The associate was more interested in their cell phone than the customers right in front of them.

No one answered the phone. 17 times Im a week. Why? I needed a product. Youre losing business. OMG 😱

Every time I buy chicken from here it turns bad really fast and the staff arent really friendly.

Maybe its the two save-a-lots I went into but they locked a lot of personality. Not much variety not much cheaper than any other box store either. Im not impressed.

It is alot more organized than it used to be and the fruit and vegetables section has actually gotten cleaner. The only bad thing is that you always have to wait in line. They always have only one cashier on duty. Poor cashiers have to clean and stock before they go home at night. I guess thats how they keep prices low.

If you are on a budget, this is the place to shop, just dont forget to bring your own bags to pack your groceries .

I Live 5 minutes from this Save-A-Lot I forgot my EBT card cashier allowed me to push the car to the side go home and get my card and come back and I thought that was such a wonderful thing to do I had a very very good experience at Save-A-Lot

Not bad for a Save-A-Lot unit at all, large and very clean for a SAL. Especially compared to some that Ive seen in places like St Louis or rural Florida counties like Levy County. Good produce and meat selection for a SAL. Only three stars because almost everything in the store is processed industrial food. Prices can be low, but theyre usually pretty high in relation to the quantity or quality or both that you get.

Its a discount chain grocery store. Its a good place to save money on groceries. The store was clean and produce looked great. The staff were friendly and helpful. You must provide or pay for your own bags. Or you can use any empty packaging boxes they may have. Bring a quarter if you want to use the shopping carts. You get your quarter back when you return the cart to its proper place.

Not very well maintained. Most of the coolers were empty. Sparse produce as well.

Do not like having to pay for a shopping cart. They all dont work and you cant get your money back.

This is one of those stores that has great products with amazing prices! As you walk thru the store you find all kinds of great products that you wouldnt expect at a discount store.

I was so happy to find a Save A Lot in Palatka. I moved to North Florida from Central Florida and previous shopped at Save A Lot in Deland and enjoyed the savings. Since moving I was horrified at the prices at the 2 local grocerys. I thought why would food be higher here than in Deland? Im in the middle of nowhere. Why? The price difference in the local stores, Hitchcocks and Harveys was extremely higher than the Deland stores. I was pleasantly surprised to find my regular reasonable prices in the Palatka Save A Lot. Totally worth the drive from Hawthorne. Oh and the cashier was friendly and considerate .

Great when avoiding walmart, check your food dates tho, just like you should at any store that sells food.

Insert a quarter for a cart? No handbaskets. Who the hell carries quarters? So youre saying you only want me to buy what I can carry on my first visit here, got it. After checking the lack of selection, that wont be too difficult. They got one bonus star for carrying those dark chocolate covered pretzels I found at the Savealot in Gainesville.

I not only did I end up with great deals on food but I also had very good help between the associates, cashiers, and the people that helped us customers out to our vehicles.

Save A Lot is a good place to go for cheap and easy meals as well as meats they tend to be lower priced and easier to navigate than Walmart for most items making them the budget minded persons best friend

I love the fact that Save-A-Lot has fresh Florida grown food! Our store is always clean and the people willing to help you find anything you need. I only gave it four stars because there are certain brands I prefer to buy which they dont carry. But they are very inexpensive on what they do carry. They have a nice selection of meats and Frozen goods, along with authentic Mexican ingredients.

Save-A-Lot carries Florida grown fruits and vegetables. You have a great selection and wonderful sale items. The cashiers are always very nice. Just remember to bring your own bags but you can buy bags from them. its their way of keeping the cost down.

I love shopping here. They have their own store brand items and some of the brand name favorites but all of their stuff is good! The prices are cheaper than just about all the other stores. They even have Tyson chicken in their meat department! The lines to checkout can be long but so is everywhere else. Overall one of my favs!

This is the Most inconvenient store Ive ever been to l. DO NOT COME HERE. First off I come in the store only to find out I cant get a buggy without a quarter. So I have to go all the back to the vehical to get a quarter. Then they wont take a coupon that says show at register. Why would I print a coupon in this day and age everything is electronic. Incredibly disappointed with this store. I will not be returning. In the end I bought nothing because the store doesnt take American Express or coupons they send me in my email. What a waist of time.

Savealots good its always been my last minute dinner go too. They just changed the isles around which is pretty cool bc my whole life Ive only seen them one direction now you can walk in and out isles with ease. And they have the cheapest snack cakes in town. I load up on them there every time.

Prices are great compared to any other store in the city Walmart aint got nothing on the food prices. Unorganized compared to others.
