We purchased a 33 year old home that had several additions made that required electrical changes to the panel box. Jordan and Justin came to our home and did a complete check of our panel box including making up a panel schedule for us. They were very thorough, knowledgeable and professional! They completely explained all they did, gave us recommendations to correct some of the issues we were having and gave us peace of mind that our electrical system was in good working order. The main panel to our mid-1980s home needed to be replaced. Chad and Jordan showed up first thing today, quickly got to work, and about two hours later they were done. I did some research on various contractors and Cornelius Electric stood out on nearly every review site I visited. They were very courteous on the phone, worked an appointment into my schedule and arrived precisely when they were supposed to. The job was hardwiring a line into my house breaker box in order to easily switch to generator power in the event of an outage. Pat and Ryan were the crewman responsible, and they were extremely friendly and professional, hearing my needs and exceeding my expectations. The final product not only works exactly as I’d liked but looks as clean as if it had been built with the house. Lastly, I’d like to mention they added an extra safety measure in the form of a lock out, making it impossible for both city power and generator power to enter the panel at the same time m, which would be quite catastrophic. Pat and Ryan are very cordial and more importantly, take the time to explain what is being done and why. I, as imagine most people do, want the best work available, especially when dealing with electricity, which can be very dangerous and confusing to us civilians, and I found that in Cornelius Electric. They have been to my house twice in the last month. New AC required extra electrical work to even pass inspection and Jordon Morgan and Cody got the job done and it passed with flying colors. While installing shelving, we touched a wire with a screw within the wall and tripped the breaker. We had no power coming to the refrigerator and were concerned with any other issues that may arise. They were the only ones available to take a phone call late Saturday afternoon as all others were closed for the weekend. They made sure to call ahead of time as we asked, were prompt with their arrival, quick to work and rectify the issue, along with being friendly and offered to explain what they were doing and addressed all of our questions and concerns to make sure we were satisfied and understood for future reference. We called this company for an emergency after we’d lost power to a few sockets in our kitchen. Mike who we spoke to on the phone was very professional and friendly, he explain their rates and exactly what would happen when the tech arrived. Dwayne arrived about 30 mins later and went straight to work fixing the issue. Not only did he fix what we called them for but also fixed a problem with our dryer and answered a million questions about miscellaneous issues around the house. He was so kind and friendly. I contacted Cornelius Electrical for an estimate last year and was finally able to hire them to install wiring for a pool heater. It was such an ease of mind to find a quality company that gives you superior work at an affordable rate. I needed to get a circuit breaker panel and my home wired with a generator hook up and an RV hook up. With in no time permits were pulled and staff were over doing the work. What was scheduled for two days was accomplished in less than one. Both Randy and Seth from Cornelius Electric were not only professional, but tidy and educational to what they had accomplished in the job that was completed. My wife and I hired CEC do to the professionalism of the owner and his project manager. We had a slight hiccup with the first crew that was sent to our home, but after letting them know of our concerns they switched Crews and everything went smoothly from that point forward.They responded quickly to phone calls, responded to our requests for certain things to be installed in a certain order, with no plan just got it done and done right.I will be using them for all my future projects with out qwestion and I highly recommend you do the same.

Randy and Chad, the electricians on the job, were professional and polite. They arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves, and returned two times because of faulty remote control receiver for the fan, not their fault. My problem is with the administrative functions of Cornelius Electric. First, at $136/hr., this company is charging at lot more than other firms Ive surveyed, ranging from $75-$95/hr. I am disappointed in myself for not shopping around. Second, I am concerned about the six hours it took the men to tear out exposed wiring for my old fan, replace it with up to code wire mold, and install the new fan. When two men are out at the truck, I have no way to know what they are doing and if six hours was really needed for this job. Third, and most importantly, I am still waiting after two weeks for my bill. Bills are presented on completion of work. This delay has caused me a lot of stress. I also am planning other work on my home. I have not been able to budget appropriately because of this incompetent billing. I was promised on the phone that Cornelius over delivers. That is not my experience. I want to emphasize the professionalism of Randy and Chad. Edit Addition: I was contacted by the office manager, who tried again to send the bill via email. Apparently these are not reaching my account, so it was mailed. The owner called this morning to apologize for delay of billing. I got the bill today for $1013. The electricians were here six hours at $136/hr comes to $816. Everyone here is nice and civil, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this business.

The price for installation of ceiling lights and connection of pool heater was competitive and fair. The owner Mike is a no bs type of guy and we appreciated his honesty. Mike and Kim run a great company and always are fast to run out for jobs for me and get me on the schedule fast. Randy and Chad are great employees and always are on time, courteous, and do very nice quality work. Very happy with both these 2 gentleman and Mike should be proud to have them as employees. Prices are very fair and I have nothing but praise for this excellent company. Give them a call, you wont regret it!

Chad & Leo installed a generator hookup to my house. They were so nice and personable as well as professional! They showed up, (big plus these days) did the job, and cleaned up after themselves! I now have an electrician I can confidently recommend.

After they on each visit, you could never find any evidence they had been there because they cleaned up so well. The team was professional, courteous, and reliable. Mike was easy to work with and helped us plan out all new electric (interior and exterior lighting, kitchen electrical work, wiring for a new room and bathroom, speakers, etc) for our total home remodel. The team was here for weeks getting everything perfect and we are so happy with the work they did. Pat went above and beyond to help us translate requirements and issues with the lighting fixture store we used and helped to advocate for us when the parts delivered were not correct. Cleaned up after themselves and communicated any changes or issues. Very nice, professional team.

Pat and Kirk showed up to do electrical work as part of our bathroom remodel. They were courteous, and completely prepared for the job. In less than an hour they removed all of the lights, and removed and replaced the bathroom vent. Very professional the entire time, and outstanding work.

The gentlemen that performed my work today really knew their stuff and took great pride in making everything perfect. The job was part of a complete kitchen remodel so it was a good size job which they completed is minimum time but with professional care. The also explained everything to me and did a thorough job of cleaning up before they departed. I highly recommend Cornelius Electric.

Cornelius Electric did a wonderful job on installing a new electrical panel. Dwayne was very prompt on providing us a quote for the panel. Scheduling was a breeze. Leo, Dwayne and Chad showed up on the day and time of the appointment. They were very courteous and polite. Will definitely use Cornelius electrical again.

Our panel was full and had several tandem breakers. They added an expansion panel and found that a previous electrician had doubled up some wires in the existing breakers. Randy called me and proceeded to fix everything. My wife and I feel a lot safer knowing that our electrical service is now up to code. Randy also added a Tesla charger to our panel. Everything looks great!

Randy and Chad were here today to fix two electrical issues. They were very polite, explained the first issue to my husband and fixed it. Randy explained the other to me.
