We live in Brevard County Florida and was fortunate enough to find East Coast Alarms, Inc. via Google. The entire East Coast Alarms team was flawless from sales, installation and setting it all up with Sondra their IT/Networking guru! Starting with the alarm/camera expert and personable sales person Mr. Charles Rivera. He met with us and sold us on the best HD cameras along with a monitored home alarm system. Monitored by Brinks, for 3 years. Dave our very experienced installation technician also did an Outstanding job running the wires through our attic and on the outside of our 1958 block home you see no wires! Then Sondra came out and set up our cameras to our cell phones, remote and our camera monitor inside our home. All of this was done immediately after we signed our paperwork. I have been with Charlie and his crew for over ten years! They have set me up with video surveillance and taken care of my alarm needs. They have always been quick to return calls and/or help when issues arise (ie, modem changes due to internet upgrades; downloading videos, etc...). They are always immediately responsive. If you want an alarm company that gives you a personal touch and cares about you personally, I recommend these guys/gals. I feel like they are almost part of my friend network after all these years, and I feel like I know them all on a first name basis. First of all I never gave a 5 star to this review or company, and I know who did this, it’s very sad to know that this person will rate their company using my phone when my cameras is not working from since day 1. I paid a lot of money for this system, and why would I rated a 5 stars when I’m still not able to used my camera. That’s very sickening and cannot trust anyone from East coast alarm to used my phone ever again. I’m still struggling to get someone to fixed the issue. I spoke to Lorna today she was supposed to called me with an answer but yet to hear back from her, trust is not there, what I think is when the sales is over I feel they do not want to be bothered anymore. I don’t know who else to contact regarding this matter. So whoever is the owner or management please reimburse my payment of $450 and come get your dvr. I will not refer anyone to this company. You just lost a value client.

Since I have been doing business with East Coast Alarms, a lot of positive things have changed. Charlie has made changes in his staff and technitions. When I call with a problem or a question, I am not made to feel as if I am bothering them. They are polite and are true to their word. The technician arrives on time. I have been dealing with LaSondra numerous times and she is excellent at her job. She is a friendly young lady who is easy to deal with. I would recommend East Coast Alarms to anyone who wants or needs alarm systems connected to their homes or business.

We have had our security camera for almost a year. We needed Video after a fire when we found our hard drive failed. We had to pay east coast to break into the hard drive to regain the footage. They replaced the hard drive.We once again need footage from when we were away and could get it. Was a couple weeks and we couldn’t get it while we were away. Charlie came and checked it out and would get back to him. I also asked him why on a certain day we seen our car in the driveway and dog laying down. Funny we were in Vermont at that time. Once again we were told he would check out and let us know. He never did but while here try selling us other cameras. Monday night the DVR started beeping with no issues. By the way our system has surge protectors. Set him a message and called the office for him to tell me they can’t drop everything they doing to come see what happened.Well today topped the cake he sent one of his techs out with a new DVR in hand. She said the hard drive failed and Charlie decided to IOU’s to a commercial one. But I called hon after the tech said I needed to talk to him . So I called and he said he needed to charge me 75.00 and that’s was a break it normally coat 200. Than he spoke to the tech and o was told before they could install it we had to pay them.Well I feel we should have had to pay nothing. Every time he opens his mouth it cost us money!!I have recommended him to people and will never ever do it again!!!!!!By the way I have used security systems in business for over 4o plus years and never delt with the garbage he is sellingBuyer beware

My home was robbed Charlie was at my place in 30 minutes gave me awesome deal Every window every door and cameras. installer was here Next morning and he worked his butt off . cheaper than anybody else.

I’m going to give a one star because I’m not very happy at this moment and there is not a 24 hour customer service line I can called, today has been 1 week still cannot pull up my devices on my phone when I’m away from my house when I’m at the house it works but when I’m away it doesn’t work at all can someone please advise me what to do. I really need this device to be working on my phone. I should have stayed with swaan never had this problem very upset right now.

Camera installation at my house was tuff. Our attic is not easy place to work. But East CoastInstallers Dave and Sandra stuck with it even in the rain and completed the install. We appreciate the great work they did!

I want to say thank you all for trying to fixed my dvr system, but I have to thank hik vision to walk me through the process and finally I got it to work a bit. According to the answers to my comments I have the original dvr it was never exchanged. My internet modem was replaced and that had nothing to do with the dvr, the issue was my equipment was never registered. Also I would like to say loraine was very rude with me over the phone. She brought my personal life into the conversation which had nothing to do with her, I still would like to have you all come get the dvr and returned my money back. It’s not like today I was having this issues it’s started from day one. I would rather not doing any business with this company anymore, there’s a lot of venders would love to do business with me. I don’t want to upset anyone but the fact is that I had being treated with no respect and it sounds like it was all my fault for something None of you could have fixed the problem, about the cancellation or service called you mentioned, every time someone comes out it’s like wasting your time and mine, still cannot get fixed. I don’t want you to be upset but I have the right to speak or write a review about how I have been treated or how the service were, I was told over the phone that an attorney would be involved. I didn’t do anything wrong and as I said people writes reviews about services and how you have been treated. Please let me know when I will be receiving my check of $450 for the DVR. Thanks again. I have east coast alarms and I would never in my life recommended them to anyone! First off they tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign a contract then once you sign they dont follow through on anything. To start I was promised that sales guy Charlie would come help me link my cameras. I told him I had everything when he tried to sell me another DVR when I told him I didnt want it he has just blew me off. Thats the first problem .Second, the installer forgot to wire the strobe on the front of my house and just left wires hanging out of the roof. To give him the benefit of doubt initially that it was an accident I called and they said they would come out Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday rolls around, NO one. So I call and set up for someone to come out Thursday. The sales guy evidently comes by and doesnt let me know hes at my house and just installs the strobe. A little while later after checking my security cameras someone calls from the office and said that the sales guy came by and put it up. Thinking that everything is done a week later I get a call from the installer that says that Charle put up the alarm but no signal was programmed. So I call the office again and they say everything is working and there is no need for anyone to come out. I then explained that the installer called and said there was no signal going to the strobe so the lady finally agrees to send someone out on Monday between 4 and 5. No one showed up. I have never done business with such and unorganized company and once you sign a contract there is no customer service. Stay away unless you like being lied to and have a completely unreliable security company!Follow up to my first review 9/6/2018So this morning Charlie came by my house in the morning to follow through on the commitment of helping me with my DVR.(after seeing my neg. review). He also brought some breakfast to make up for his company not showing up 3 times and himself not calling before putting up the strobe and not letting me know he was here. Charlie also brought up that he had a family member pass that he was in NY and things were rough. He worked on my DVR for a little over and hour.The DVR supposedly didnt work. So Charlie said that he was going to come back later with one of his DVRs. In the meantime David the installer came by to check the wires and make sure they were getting signal. In talking I brought up to David that Charlie said he had a death when David responded Charlie didnt have anyone die. Also that Charlie had scolded him for bringing up that the strobe wasnt installed and why did you remind the customer that there was a strobe that was to be put in. David never said anything about the strobe it was myself that reminded him about the strobe and myself that called the office multiple times and made appointments that no one came to. Thinking that this situation couldnt get worse Charlie comes back out with the new DVR. We get the DVR installed then before hes about to leave ask me to change my negative review that I lied in my post. I said excuse me I didnt lie about anything! I explained that no one came out three times to were he blames me for not calling him and blaming it on his office staff and that hes being penalized for giving me such a great deal and that Im costing him so much money. We went in circles that he thought giving me a good deal is ok for his company to make 3 different appointments and not come out. I have never in my life dealt with such an unprofessional company to badger and lecture me when you are the one that doesnt come out to your service calls 3 times. The installer just confirmed that Charlie will stop at nothing to lie to get what he wants. As I told him if you didnt want to lose money or customers, DONT DO BAD BUSINESS! At this point I dont know if my DVR really didnt work or if it was Charlie lying to make more money.I went with these guys because they had a 5 star rating, but it seems they pressure people into changing it to that. Stay away from this company unless you like to be lied to!
