Weve used Capt Dodge as our marine surveyor twice over the last decade. The first time, he surveyed our used center console prior to purchase and uncovered 5 big issues that the sellers broker did not disclose. We were able to negotiate the purchase price down because of Capt Dodges findings. After 7 years of owning that boat, we sold it for the same price we bought it for.We bought a used sportfish this week and once again Capt Dodges inspection report revealed pump failures, water damage, corrosion, paint issues, etc that the seller didnt even know know existed. We were able to negotiate the purchase price down by tens of thousands of dollars because we showed the seller all of the problems uncovered during Capt Ds inspection.Weve used other marine surveyors in the past and their reports were useless. I want to tell the world that if you use this captain to inspect your boat before you buy it, you will end up saving thousands.
