Proprietor Matt Burkholz has the most amazing collection of vintage costume jewelry, including Bakelite, Schreiner, and Judith Hendler. Many unique accessories such as handbags, dresses, scarves, etc. Matt has published extensively on designer costume jewelry and he is a super nice guy too!
Gorgeous shop packed with beautiful, unique jewelry. The owner is clearly an expert and highly knowledgeable and I appreciated him sharing his expertise with us. A gem of Palm Springs. I bought a lovely butterscotch Bakelite ring and will definitely be back.
The collection here is amazing. It’s a museum more than a shop the prices are outrageous. The owner is a brute, he bullies and condescends non stop. Thankfully he pegged me as broke and worked on hounding and badgering another woman, telling her her ideas about what she liked were “ all in her head” and he gave a long lecture on how there were no Bakelite pierced earrings... little did he know I have 80 pair of original pierced Bakelite earrings and an extensive vintage Jewelry collection. Thousands of Bakelite bangles. Hundreds of celluloid pieces... extensive collection of Miriam Haskell’s and De LILO,KJL Renoir, Matisse, etc. he lost out on a sale from me for sure when he told me goodbye when I hadnt even started shopping. He ran the other shopper out of the store then turned around and went and sat down I was still looking deciding which pieces to buy and he yelled“ goodbyeeeee” at me.Words of wisdom. Never buy from someone who wrote the book on something. They inflate the prices ten fold in print then say look this is proof of what it’s worth.
Its good, at least the drinks are. Some staff great. Liked the bartender.
This place is nice and has things you obviously might not find other places but ve prepared to play more
Situated at the foot of the mountains in Palm Springs, this shop is very upscale and very expensive. There are so many beautiful things here, if you’re a lover of vintage jewelry, purses, clothing and art, this store is a do not miss destination.
Thats my familys driving route 66 from Laughlin
Love it
