Got a shadow box for my dad memories. I didnt carr too much for the onrs they had in store for thr flags but the actual shadow boxes are very nice. Quite the price too. They should offer military discounts. Im just saying. But Michaels had everything to put my craft together.

This store has improved a lot the last few years with better art supplies. A lot less junk than the other hobby store chain. Makes me want to do more painting.

Ive been a Michaels store fan and a customer for years, frequenting my neighborhood store. I purchased an item that I would like to return, but misplaced my receipt. Even though the item is visible in my order history, the manager refused to accept the return without the printed receipt. The item is unopened and completely new! There is no risk to Michaels in accepting the return. Not even a store credit!They dont need my patronage, and I can get everything I need from Joannes or Amazon, who have great return policies and customer service excellence. Its hard to support a brick and mortar store when they dont support their customers.

I went in an hour before closing. I asked a couple staff members for help but it seemed like they werent in the mood to help but did anyway. Maybe they were burnt out from the day idk but it made me feel like I was an annoyance. There was a lot of stock missing as well. Hopefully next time I visit it will be better cause I love Michaels

Great customer service at this location! Especially if you have kids- this is a great store to get craft ideas. It’ll be good during COVID TIME. If you find yourself needing something to do- creatively- go to michaels. Options are endless

I LOVE THIS STORE!!! Every time I happen to go in to Michels for something specific- its happened when going in for a couple specific items-- this store will have the most amazing deals going on for those specific items... Drawing pens, colored pencils, calligraphy pen sets, paint brushes... Beads and macrame string, coloring books, model cars, sewing supplies... Its like they know how much I want to buy, and they just so happen to have the best deals that make sure I am happy when I leave... And when I leave, the deals dont just stop- sign up for their newsletter and apply for a membership using ur phone number, and youll get coupons for the next time you shop there! Better than Hobby Lobby, (any Hobby Lobby, for that matter), hands down-- Michaels staff is nicer, more helpful, and doesnt treat you like a criminal when you get lost in the store and spend time trying to decide what to buy or put back cuz you plan on spending over $100 at a time, almost every time. I almost wish I could direct deposit a set amount into a credit account from my paycheck. Someones got to limit my spending! Thank you for being the best craft store all around!

I stopped in looking for string of some type for chimes, but really need more sales staff on floor. I ran into two people rearranging a shelving area. A nice lady maybe a manager told me where to find something that might work. I havent used it yet, but looks right.

I have yet to ever go to Michaels and find anything Their selection has diminished over the years. Is difficult to find anything at Michaels of any worth. It used to be the go to place for any craft go to place for any silk flower the go to place for arrangements. You are hard pressed to find anything the selection is poor supplies were limited. I have resorted to shopping online its not worth my drive to the store.

There were a lot of staff members working which you would think would be a good thing but none asked if I needed help finding anything...which I did. Otherwise the store was clean and well stocked.

Love the place the only thing its a bit pricey some items they have at Wal-Mart and less expensive. Some of the staff are friendly and one or two just there taking up space which maybe get to know their inventory and take mental noted on how things work or specialize in one hobby or craft .

They frequently have deep discount sales, like 50 -80% off, which often translates into some kind of spontaneos purchase for me! I love perusing all the arts and crafts supplies, and often get inspired while browsing. And today, I found polymer water beads there! I had been looking for these locally and could not locate anywhere. They didnt let me down. I really enjoy Michaels!

Felt totally unwelcomed and like an outcast. Got to the Palm Desert one, it isnt as snobby as Palm Springs. Ugh!

They had exactly what I was after and staff very helpful.

Great sales and dont forget to bring your coupons and your patience if the lines are long. However, absolutely delightful sales clerks at the registers. Almost everything is on sale 40 - 60% off! Especially the Christmas things. This store is usually well stocked but due to the sale you will find isles of empty shelves. We were looking for miniature things but did not find exactly what we wanted.

A very good craft store. Pick a hobby and they have the materials for you. The store is massive and there is something for everyone. Michaels is particularly good for holiday items such as decorations or crafting supplies for, say, a Christmas wreath. The store is clean, but the layout could be better. The checkout experience needs work as their are never enough cashiers and there can be long lines, especially during the Christmas season. Plenty of parking. Signing up for their emails is a must to get lots of 40-50% off coupons.

I went there looking for nylon cordingand there are literally hundreds of different types of necklace cords. But the employees were able to steer me in the right direction and I found a giant roll of exactly what I needed. At the registeranother friendly employee helped me utilize my digital coupon and I received 60% off! I am making necklaces for charity so every dollar counts and I was able to get enough material to make a hundred necklaces that will be enjoyed around the world and raise money for my cause. Definitely worth the hour drive from Joshua Tree!

Had a pricing problem in the palm springs location. Wasnt able to make purchase.The next day I get a call from manager, Crystal. She said come back we can sell you that item with an additional 25% off another item I bought. So that is a great way to handle a pricing problem. Thank you Crystal, you did a great job. On some occasions when I visit I sometimes find that in the afternoon its the busiest and the lines cant get kind of long with one or two cashiers. I try to come in late afternoon after the rush. Other than that the store is pretty clean. I was helped by and older lady named Irene during my last visit. She is such a sweet lady and its always a pleasure to see her when I come in for my beading projects.

I work here, so my opinion might be a bit biased. Theres a good selection of products, and it seems like were always having sales. The staff know the store pretty well and are super helpful. Our customers are really cool, Ive noticed. Ive worked in retail over the years and Michaels customers are some of the coolest and most interesting Ive had the opportunity to work with.The best time to come in is right at 9 when we open, on Mondays and Thursdays (occasionally Friday). The trucks come in early on those days, so thats when youll find we have the best selection.

Decent prices & sales!Good selection for canvases, sketchbooks, etc. Would love to see more in the beading area; loose beads, blown glass beads, & silver wire, etc.For quick emergency items, not always available, but then, this is a craft store, not a specialty store. Love the Seasonal items! Staff is wonderful, friendly & helpful!

Customer service was poor. 1 employee working and didnt even take 1 minute to address my needs nor took the time to even say hey, I will be with you in a few or please wait someone will be with you . I have worked customer service and I do not appreciate the snarky glances. I do appreciate the framework and craftsmanship. I do not appreciate the rudeness I encountered today. I have been there 2 times the last week and the lady who helped me, went above and beyond, took time to help others when she was helping me. Called for other employees when others needed help. Sadly today it went differently.

Okay. First. Make sure you load your coupons from the app when your in the parking lot. You will get zero, and Im serious, zero data service in the store. Which is super frustrating when you are shopping on a budget. Like any store the staff can be friendly and helpful and others... seem like they are unhappy with life. Also! If your looking for a ton of stuff for planners.. dont both here. Which is maddening!! The Palm Desert location is well stocked.

My main issue with this store is that you can never find anyone to help you. Cashiers are friendlier nowadays than they were in years past, so thats a step in the right direction. Im still reluctant to shop here because my experience is always very hit or miss. I get the impression that management at this location (or perhaps on the corporate level) is subpar because no one ever seems happy to be here. Consider hiring more folks and treating them better because your customers can tell when everyone is miserable.

EDIT:Dont trust them with a pick up order. The website claims that if you are unable to pick up your order within 5 days, they will refund you within the next 3 days. Its been 3 weeks and 5 days, and 4 emails and they still have MY MONEY. Shameful.Has the usual stuff, staff is nice. Almost no signal available for your phone, pull up your coupons or app before you enter the parking lot.
