A Fair ShakeWe tried the Fresh Strawberry Banana Shake and the Cookie Butter Shake. It took a while to choose the flavors because there were so many options but I’m not complaining – all the more reason to go back and try more! Both shakes were excellent. I was a little apprehensive about eating the little donut that topped it off but was pleasantly surprised. It was very light and tasty, the perfect accompaniment. Wait time wasn’t too bad and the workers were friendly. Definitely recommend.

Great place at the center of downtown Palm Springs. Lots of flavors to choose from. Got the classic chocolate shake easy on the whipped cream. It is thick in consistency, soft and comes with a mini yummy cakeish.

Every time I drive through Palm Springs I have to stop here for a shake! I have tried quite a few of their many flavors, but the lactose-free date shake is my favorite. My mom ordered the lactose-free banana fudge shake and she loved hers! They made it with real bananas instead of artificial flavoring, and didn’t skimp on the fudge. Great Shakes is a guilty pleasure, and they live up to their name.

After living in the desert for about 7 years, I had heard many great things about Great Shakes, but had never been to try it.Finally, it was time to give it a try. The menu will impress you with many, many different unique flavors to choose from.I went with the cookie dough fudge shake with a lactose-free substitute. The shake was very good and did not disappoint. Each shake comes with a small donut on the straw made right from their location. Even the donut was baked to perfection.Our cashier, with an English accent, was super patient and had great recommendations since it was our first time.This is a great stop for a sweet dessert.

I was very impressed bygreat shakes, I had the butter pecan shake as well as trying a bit of the Chillon pie shape. All shakes were creamy and delicious they all come with a cute sweet delicious tasting donuts on the strong. Also I had the peanut butter cookie that was jai normous more than enough for 2 peopl,e soft like it just came out of the oven I give this place a 10 out of 10 for a service size taste and price of the productif youre in Palm Springs this is a great treat on a hot summer day.

Our shakes were straight up phenomenal, but our favorite from this place was their cookies. DO NOT skip on the cookies. I dont live local, but if I did I would be 100 lbs heavier by a months time.

The shakes here were astounding. THICK, CREAMY, AND CHUNKY. Grab a far straw and just start suckin’ down that milky good stuff. Try their date shake for the original cool down desert of Palm Springs. If you want to get a little funky try something with lavender or coffee.. or even combined.

Great selection of various shakes, some classic candies, and now sodas. The shakes are always nice and thick, served with a mini donut topper. Great customer service rounds out the experience. If you are visiting Palm Springs, stopping here is a must. Get a shake and then continue wandering around the downtown area. Perfect thing for those warner days and a wonderful way to wrap up the night.

OMG so good! We came for the first time in Palm Springs few days ago and tried it. I love milkshakes that’s for sure but those were delicious! The strawberry banana one was to die for! Next time we come to PS we’ll definitely go back there for milkshakes!

Great Shakes is one of the best places to come to to get a shake. I highly recommend this place as a spot to come hang out with your family to get a shake. I recommend the Oreo mint shake. Best place to come for a shake.

Had to come here due to all the reviews and local recommendations. Got the strawberry banana shake no sugar added (monk fruit) it was delicious but I am sure the real sugar based one would have been a 5 star. Dont be overwhelmed with the options, IMHO youll be happy that you came to Great Shakes.

I have to say, this place lives up to its reputation. The shakes were great and they have a massive selection. We came back several times during our trip. The shakes come with a little frosted cake on the straw, as if they arent decadent enough on their own. But Im not complaining.

The shake I had last night was great but the cookie I had just now is top 3 of my life. If you like soft, thick cookies, it is a must have. On par with levain and crumble. So good.

The quality is in the name, these were some Great Shakes! :) We tried the Butter Pecan, Chocolate, and Chocolate Cookie Dough. Service was very fast and extremely helpful and friendly, even offering to replace my shake If I didnt like it since I was trying something new.

Weve made a habit of driving into Palm Springs for some Great Shakes every time we visit Joshua Tree. The floats and shakes are top notch. The prices can be a little steep, but its worth it... Especially when its 108 degrees out.

We were there for their gourmet shakes and malts, so we didn’t need anything more.After we put in our order, we waited for the “great” shakes to be created. The pick up is all the way at the end of the wall. It was fun watching the staffs making the shakes.We went with Pistachio shake and Banana Caramel Graham shakes. All the shakes comes artistically garnished, with a home made baked mini-doughnut on each straw. Awesome!The fact that founder/owner of this place was handling the order and payment was really great. It is great to see the owner fully involved with the business, interacting with the customers. He was very nice, friendly and polite. At the time of order, he looked us into our eyes and told us that they guarantee satisfaction, and that if we are not happy with our order, they will make us something else. The offer was very sincere, I thought that was really great.At the end, we were completely satisfied. The only issue I had was that I did not have unlimited supply of their amazing shakes. They were true their name, and they do serve “Great Shakes” or more like out-of-this-world shakes. LOVE! If you are in the area, go visit this spot for a mouth-watering shakes. Ive been bragging about this place ever since I stumbled across it a couple months ago. Its family owned and you can feel the love the minute you walk in. Staff is super patient and kind (after all, there are a zillion choices so its hard to choose!) Not only is the service great, but the product is the best Ive ever had, period. Smooth, creamy, and artfully blended, I have yet to find one I dont love. Top faves: Key Lime, Oreo Mint, and of course, the Date Shake. Its a must have when were in town and I take all our guests here too. You wont be disappointed.

We came to Palm Springs this weekend to enjoy our wedding anniversary and brought our 3 little boys with us, we decided to give this place a try because the kids were getting cooped up in the hotel room. It all looks good but the vanilla bean & strawberry shakes were so bland, there was hardly any taste. My 8 year old sim was so disappointed. We actually got 2 of their bottled cream sodas as well, so horrible. My husband is a sucker for a good cream soda and he said these were horrible. Our 8 year old said they tasted gross! We wasted a lot of money here on tasteless and not good soda. We ended up going across the street to Cold Stone which I highly recommend!!!

Shakes are great but extremely over priced. If someone drops theirs replace it, how rude!! The customer sitting by me dropped a new shake at $10.00 and they only offered him a new spoon for a shake off the floor. Lol greedy!!

Swung by the other weekend and was so glad we decided to check out Great Shakes among all the different shops in this area. Amazing shakes and it seemed like people were happy with basically all the flavors. One shake is probably enough for 2-3 people so be prepared to share or save it for a few meals.

I was about to leave — the big sign; the higher price. I thought, how good could a usually sugary shake be? Then I saw the sign at the door telling me how reduced the sugar is. In fact, not added and low glycemic. I took a free sample and chose healthy options: strawberries and bananas. Very tasty and the staff were the friendliest.

I had the chocolate brownie shake and it was sooo good. All shakes come with a small donut. I highly recommend you make a stop here if youre in Palm Springs. You wont regret it!

This place was AMAZING! By far one of my favorite shakes Ive ever had. There were four of us that went and all the flavors of shakes were delicious. The people were so friendly, sweet, and helpful. I loved all the old school candy they had for sale too! I will absolutely be back!

I used to be a regular customer at the Riverside location, and was sad when they shut it down earlier this year. This was the first time I made it out to Palm Springs for their wonderfully rich Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup shake, and it was as delicious as it was in Riverside. It’s the best shake I have ever had! I hope to be back soon!

These shakes are like nothing I have ever had! I had the butterscotch orange creme and my husband had the Carmel coffee and they were both incredible! I cannot wait to go back and try another flavor. The owner said that if we didnt like it, they would make us something else. No need they were delicious! My daughters friend works there and is the reason we decided to try it out! Love it were addicted.

This is the best shake I have ever had! The customer service is great, the staff is very friendly and tell you their number 1 goal is a happy customer so to let them know of you need anything changed or done differently. Everything is made by hand including the sauces. This is a must if you are in the area!

You cant go wrong here at Great Shakes, They have so many different flavors and they are delicious and flavorfull. The place is perfect during a hot day in Palm Springs. So if you are craving something cold after lunch and or dinner, I would recommend this place. The staff are always friendly, full of smiles, and outgoing. What I love is the additional doughnut that comes with your shakes. So if your in Downtown Palm Springs during the summer I definitely would go to great Shakes. The place has a fun interior and you can sit by the window and just people watch while you drink your Great Shake.

I just moved to Palm Springs three months ago and I have to say this place has become a regular spot for me. Everyone that works here is just lovely, and all the desserts are amazing. They have a great supply of vintage candy like Necco Wafers and juicy fruit that you cant find anywhere else. Also on Wednesdays they have a dollar off Dole whips so I am clearly always there on Wednesdays haha. Theyre giant cookies are also amazing too. You cant even side but they do have tables and chairs set up outside on the sidewalk for you

Such a fun spot in downtown Palm Springs. They have an expansive list of amazing shakes. Ive had about 10 different shakes and every one is super tasty. Great staff, friendly and quick on the creation of shakes. A must stop for downtown treats.

I visited Palm Springs during the labor day weekend and decided to give the famous date shake a try. The shake had a consistency closer to soft ice cream or frozen yogurt. I had to wait till it thawed a bit and really liked the taste of date shake. I would prefer a shake that I can sip through a straw and not need a spoon to eat.

Went there on a nice warm Saturday with my hubby. I must say the malts (no shakes for us) were outstanding. We were bored so drove 150 miles round trip just to savor their malts. Honestly it was worth it!!

So many yummy options! My favorite is the “cinna-ban” cinnamon banana shake, lactose free but with the whipped cream.They recently introduced a smaller 8 oz serving and also offer cones. Each shake comes with a mini donut!They have always treated me well. I’m local and end up going there often during the hot months.

We were on a motorcycle trip from Oceanside and specifically stopped here because we wanted a Date Shake. The shake was “great”. We had lunch there in the courtyard. Food was very good. Prices were Very Reasonable! We will make this a “must stop” every time we pass thru the Palm Springs area.

So so so good! Greatest shakes ever! The 12 oz cup is more than enough though. The design is super retro and they sell old school candies. Even though the line might belong, it’s definitely worth it.

The selection they have here is amazing. and every shake can be turned into a malt. They decorate their shakes nicely and give you plenty! They were a tad bit too sweet for me, but still good nonetheless. The decor and music is also a nice throwback to classic palm springs. I definitely recommend stopping in.
