Love Mel’s place. Nothing better than drinking a craft beer while smoking a cigar inside when it’s 120 degrees outside. That is closely followed by smoking a cigar and drinking a craft beer or 12 on the patio in January when it’s 75 degrees out. It’s a great place to get out of the office for some quiet time if you work close too.

This is a fantastic cigar shop and wine shop with a wonderful cigar lounge in the back and outdoor patio service in the front.... Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and attentive. They have an incredible selection of large ring gauge cigars as well as all the accessories you could ever want. The wine wall is phenomenal and the prices are nice. Unlike some, its a really easy wine store, so they make you feel at home and try different types of wine. The wine tasting experience was exceptional! Sofia is very professional and attentive in introducing us to the various wine harbors, and she has prepared some cheese for us. For those wine lovers, I highly suggest this fine wine shop!

Professional, well-stocked, convenient, and great prices on wines. Name everything you want theyve got it all. The staff was so helpful and accommodating as well. I love the place. It was so spacious and organized. They had huge selections of wine to choose from. I cant wait to visit this wine shop again.

This is my absolute favorite cigar bar in the Coachella valley and I am so glad it has survived these unprecedented times. Agreed, the prices are a bit high, but you have to keep in mind youre also purchasing the experience. Even though the lounge is closed, its still very tough to beat indulging on the patio, with naught but a sizable selection of fine tobacco and wine and beer at your fingertips.Ill be returning.

It has a nice patio area, very pricey, $12 beers.

I had heard of this place from my friends at my cigar lounge back home. I come to Palm Springs 2 to 3 times a year and have past this place hundreds of times but never tried it. I am so glad I stopped in last night. It was a very positive experience starting with employee Alexis. She was so helpful and friendly. I loved the by the glass wine choices. My cigar was smooth and good. I will be back.

Extremely let down. There was no sign indicating that only two tables right outside the door that were already occupied were the only ones available for smoking cigars. Also wasn’t told about the restricted patio and the 20 dollar corking fee until after we had purchased a cigar and a bottle of rose with the obvious intent of smoking and drinking at the establishment. Overall very disappointed in their handling of COVID and the lack of communication prior to making a purchase. There’s just no excuse after dealing with this stuff for over 6 months. To top all that off, the cigar selection was sub par to say the least, lacking in staples from some basic brands like rocky Patel and drew estate.

Excellent spot to get out of the hustle and bustle of shopping and enjoy a glass of wine, cigar or both. The lounge is nicely appointed with leather chairs and very comfortable.The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The owner was very, very friendly. Also extremely knowledgeable about his stock.This is a great shop for newbies and for folks who know what they want, too.Ask about the MBombay series of cigars. I was very impressed, and they seem to be a house specialty.

We love going to fame. Mel and Nika are the best and we always meet the nicest, ecclectic group of people there. Cant say enough good things about this Cigar Lounge. Great cigars, great selection of wines and beer.

Laid back sidewalk seating as well as a very comfy smoking/wine lounge in back. Owners are often there and very inviting and gregarious. A must stop after Palm springs dinner time.

Nice place, I went there mostly for the beers. I got the Old Rasputin Russian stout, which said it was delicious on their menu... the menu wasnt wrong. Add that to super friendly service, and you got I place I for one would like to visit again

Dont waste your time or money at this place! This place is a joke. $46 for a cigar and a glass of wine... apparently isnt enough to sit in a seat on the patio.... guess I sat too long...30 minutes? The lady came outside ...gave me a dirty look...let me know I was not welcome. Rude!! There are other cigar shops within walking distance. Absolutely will not get my business again. Wish I could rat it minus 5 stars!

Beautiful selections! Staff had a very professional tone and look, while also maintaining grounded conversations. They single-handedly made my wife and myself feel like we were home again.

I have visited cigar lounges around the world and i have never been treated more rudely than at this place. When i walked in I was confronted by a very unfriendly lady who seemed annoyed that I walked in. I stated that I was looking for a cigar and a place to smoke it (it was raining outside). She told me that there was a one drink minimum. I said i was more than happy to buy a cigar and a non alcoholic drink but stated that I dont drink. she said if I didnt drink that i would have to pay a 10 dollar fee. This seemed odd to me. I asked her if it was cheaper to order a drink and then not drink it she said that if i didnt drink i would have to pay the fee As I started to explain to her that some people dont drink for health or moral reasons and that i thought this was unfair to charge non drinkers extra, she walked out on me and stood behind the counter with her arms folded I walked out. Lounges have to charge fees or a minimum. Its like paying rent. I respect it and Im glad to pay But having to pay more because I dont drink is a low class move that one might expect from a strip club in New Orleans Not in a nice neighborhood in Palm Springs. No wonder there was no one in the place at 5:30 in the evening

Very unique and high quality shop. It is well kept and the staff is exceptionally competent. They carry a more upscale & luxurious variety of accessories for cigars which I personally am not interested in. I went on amazon and got a decent cutter, lighter and humidity packs for about $100. They wanted $65 for just the cutter! I would give it five stars but the prices really are exorbitant and they will not discuss them over the phone; I spent around $200 on cigars and did not get an itemized receipt. Their cigar selection is bar none and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The wine & draft beer selection is okay but there is a mandatory drink policy one must abide by to be in the lounge. The problem here is that I had my wife with me and she does not drink so we couldnt go in. Overall I will visit again when Im in the area but for now I will stick to ordering my cigars online.

Amazing service! Frankie helped us select a couple new stocks and they were great! Wine selecting was good and had a really good time smoking and dining in the lounge.

Alexis was the only person I dealt with. If you get a chance ask her on preferences of beer and cigars. Knowledgeable and personable. Also a credit to any place of cigars or brews.

Went there to buy one cigar for my non-smoking friend for his special occasion. I am not a smoker but store looks great. I could spend there hours looking at different labels.

We recently spent a month in Palm Springs and were lucky enough to re-discover Fame. What a civilised oasis of craft ales, fine wine and great cigars! We visited most days for a few pleasant hours smoking some of Mels fine cigars, doing our crosswords and enjoying very special service by his lovely and attentive staff.
