Tonight was my first trip here. The people are friendly and helpful. They dont carry one of the items I was looking for, but will order for me. They fry fish there also, but I didnt make it in time. I did find some Ackee and Callalloo. I had tried their salted seaweed chips and boy do they stink when you first open the bag but they were yummy. I also bought Butter Cream Chocolate Crackers to try and they are very light and tasty.

Okay so my review will be for their fish market/ fried fish.To start off, this will be my 2nd time trying them as of today. I think it may be my last.As far as the food goes, the cornmeal shrimp is pretty good. I asked for extra seasoning, however I think they just stuck to their mix and did nothing different, as it tasted as if they poured a packaged mix and did not season the shrimp itself, or at least add more seasoning to the prepackage...However thats just my speculation. I also tried their other fried shrimp. That I could see they clearly seasoned, however the shrimp was rubbery in a way that was unpleasant.I also tried their fried whiting my first visit... It was alright, but I would still travel to LA.My biggest issue with them is their lack of customer service skills.Besides the unnecessary traffic they create in this tiny space by having you order your food at the back, going to the cash register to pay, and then having you go back to the the person who took your order to give them the receipt, they are not very mindful of their customers.The wait time is insane when you talk about a product that has a safe food temperature window that is already limited. However they only have 1 person both prepping and cooking. And the staff does not communicate well with the customers.After having met Siam himself today (or so he said), I think the problem starts at the head.As a manager, it is important to make sure you make repeat customers, and taking accountability for the actions of your staff, as well as creating a more consistent and orderly environment would be a great start.Oh, and seasoning the food would also help too!! Lol

Best place for oriental type foods, spices, rices, noodles vegetables,and a very fresh selection of fish in the back. Preped to order or fried 👌👌👌👌

PLEASE KEEP CONSISTENTLY..when I Order silver noodle salad in the evening its done perfectly but for whatever reason whoever prepared it during the lunch hour continues to overdo it with onions & peppers even though its supposed to be mild... Day crew charged extra to add peanuts when the dish is made with peanuts at night (the correct recipe ingredients)...I was hoping it be done right but it wasnt the best...This is ny favorite restaurant and I wanted to give a goid report but maybe next time

What a cool place! Tucked out of the way, and so, so busy, but definitely had a lot of what I was looking for. I only wish they were making lunch because everything made me hungry! Not a ton of fresh food, but a decent selection of fish, a deep freezer section, and even some fresh veg. Some fun cookies and candy for the kids.If you are like me and dont know exactly what you are looking for, make sure you go when the manager is there. Ive made a few trips and the younger guys who work the register are nice, but not at all knowledgeable.

Great customer service and wide selection of Asian ingredients from Thai to Filipino. They have fresh fish ready for frying. Also they have filtered water station.

The owner is great and down to earth. Hes an equal opportunistic guy. Hires all races as I can see.Prices are great and so is the water if you need to fill up your empty gallons thats the spot.

Having both of best world all in one place, good customer service, and very helpful, polite. Parking could be a little hard to find but not all the time

Got some fish 🐟 pretty good located inside the Asian market, which also has regular products (tissue, drinks, tobacco etc)

They have so many options that we cannot found at other stores. The miso paste is the best! And this is the only place I have been able to find frozen lumpias! Staff is always nice and helpful!

Lots of nice items and they are sometimes willing to try items they dont normally carry. Its the only place I have found in the AV that carries red rice for instance.

Fish fry is good, you have to place your order in the back then pay for it up front. Then take it back to where you ordered. About a 20 min to 30min wait when there busy. Big portions worth the price. Fish they had, catfish, redsnaper, whiting there was a few more but worth checking out.

Love this store! The best to fill those needs. By that I mean, the only place I know of that can fillet fresh fish, sells soju, and find those delicacies you cant find else where. Like purple yam ice cream and spicy Korean noodles.

I know Siam groceries market and their restaurant. I know this people personally. From the time Siam and Sandra were Young still. My brother had work for them before. This people were the nicest people. That was my brother first job there as the person who clean and fried the fish. My family had been coming to this store and ate at their restaurant for so many years. I move away and when i do come home to visit I still do come to this store and buy what I cant get from where I live now. Just not to long ago I came and it was nice to see Siam and his dad. A lots of change on how this store look and the restaurant. Its bigger now and had more selection in there. I am glad that I can still come and get what I need there. I could not find some of this stuff any where. But I know I can always find it there. Very great full and satisfied with the service.

Its a good place to get Asian groceries. They have kimchee, mabu tofu sauce and natto, which is nice. It saves me a trip to Little Tokyo or K-Town.

It’s dirty and hot. Felt weary buying fish here. Poor selection. Not sure how in the world this place has so many good reviews. A fish market? Not at all what I expected. Sign at the counter says to pay for fried food first then bring ticket to fish area to fry, waited in line 20 min to pay to get my ticket and the guy told me at the register I need to go back the the fry area first and get my ticket then come pay. So I left. No tuna, No halibut, no marlin, no mahi mahi, no cod. A fish market? Hardly. I really was expecting a better selection. Will not be returning.

Ive never been to a Asian grocery store however upon going there for the first time I absolutely love their wide selection of food that I have never tried before. The workers were kind enough to help me find certain foods and even recommend what works with what foods. I highly encourage anyone who is curious like me to go to this market to looks around and try new foods.
