Im so grateful that Palmer has a music shop and glad I can buy local! Like others reviewers have said, there is just a great vibe at Wood And Wire when you enter the store. This is truly a great, quality music store, and the owner Todd is just such a very genuine person who is passionate about music. I purchased and traded in instruments here and always feel great about the transaction. In addition, there are music lessons offered here from wonderful instructors. If you have been on the fence about picking up that instrument you always wanted to, then definitely swing on by Wood and Wire.

This is a great guitar shop. Ive had Todd (owner) set up all of my instruments, and he does an excellent job. His repair/set up work is reasonably priced, and the instrument sounds and plays incredible after he has finished. Im a gigging musician, so Im pretty tough on my instruments, but he helps keep me on stage, and I know I can count on his support. Hes got a fairly quick turnaround time too. The only aspect of his shop I cant comment on is purchase of new instruments, but Ive purchased associated electronics there for installation, and hes fairly priced there too.Its nice when the owner of a shop shares the wonder of guitar that never seems to leave some of us. Todd still has that, as is obvious when you bring him something to work on.

Todd did a repair and set up on my Gretsch Country Gentleman. Best set up I’ve ever experienced. Extremely reasonable and amazing service. I have more projects coming up and I know who to call for the work. AAA+++!

The best guitar shop in alaska, hands down. The owner is the coolest most friendly dude around. Always happy to answer any and all questions and help out with anything having to do with guitars and equipment. He is very professional and has an extensive knowledge on instruments and equipment. The only guitar shop I go to.

Good selection of acoustic and electric guitars a couple basses and banjos too plus helpful no pressure staff, worth checking out.

This place is a great addition to the Valley. They feature some locally made gear, have a good selection of parts, and some nice instruments hanging on the wall. I really appreciate the focus the owner expressed in cultivating the local creative community. He knows his stuff and has experience to back it up. I hope this is a successful venture. If you are a local musician, its definitely a place to check out.

I really like this place, just really good vibes here the people were really nice, really easy to talk to, very informative and there was some really beautiful guitars there as well. I havent gotten my guitar repaired there yet but when I do I will definitely review that as well.
