I’ve used Pioneer a handful of times over the last few months and have had great customer service. Even though I’m buying much smaller quantities of rock than most they are friendly, helpful, and professional when I have questions and ask for recommendations.

I’ve been buying from Pioneer for a few years now. Sometimes it’s large amounts of mulch and rock, other times it’s a small amount of mulch only. They always have what I need and their customer service is outstanding. I recently worked with Stacey McGhee, assistant manager, and customer service was exceptional as usual. I highly recommend Pioneer for your landscaping needs!

Our family has been going to Pioneer Landscape in Parker for over 35 years, completing two full back yard landscape projects and more recently began working on a third home with improvement projects.90% of the time their assistance and staff are exceptional, the other ten percent service is good, but very difficult to serve everyone on say a Saturday morning, but they normally do their best.Today, was a normal day, somewhat busy and they made the time to explain the content of the planters mix and based on what our planting objective was, told me to add about 15% compost.This is why we keep coming back!

Pioneer has gone downhill. I’ve switched now to Titan Landscape Materials in Littleton, CO. The load of rock we got from Pioneer a few days ago was unbelievably dirty, full of sand and dirt. An inquiry with Pioneer’s “quality” guy yielded an insulting “too bad so sad” response. So we immediately switched to Titan for our next batch of rocks. Titan’s prompt and professional service and delivery were impeccable, the rocks were 20 times cleaner, and the overall cost was LESS than Pioneer. AVOID PIONEER. Get better materials, better prices and amazing service from Titan instead. You’ll be glad you did.

I got to say that the staff here is absolutely nice and friendly, they were short staff today which is a busy Saturday but they made things work out! The guys here are ALWAYS great to work with. Ive used them about a half dozen times at this point. I do think there are some cheaper options in some localities, but the prices are still really reasonable. It seems like some flagstone and such are seasonal.

Had a problem with where the 2 materials were placed on the truck. When Driver Cameron came to my house I told him the load was backwards from what I had order. He call in to office and told Marlon Salesperson it was wrong. Marlon said he would have the right load sent to my house. The load was to my house in 2 hours and correct. I would give the driver 10 stars if I could, took the time to make sure about trees for damage. It was extremely small area for him to dump both loads. Monique the Assistant Manger made it right for the problem of the wrong load. If you can ask for Cameron as you driver he will take great care of you and your home.

We recently purchased 6 very large boulders from Pioneer (Parker) and had them delivered. Larry, the driver who delivered and placed the stones was exceptional. His skills and abilities placing the boulders using the donkey/forklift was impressive. He placed everything in our yard exactly as we requested. Larry even swept up the street afterwards and left the area cleaner than when he arrived. Kudos to Larry!

Very bad service they should change the staff

Such a bad costumer service, materials on site and tells me to load by hand because they are running low on it, eventhough there is plenty for the loader to grab.

I worked with Cameron on two deliveries to my home and Cameron was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. I needed a second delivery on short notice and Cameron went out of his way to make sure I got it in a day which allowed me to complete my job over the weekend. I will always request Cameron if I can

Everyone here is great! We use Pioneer for nearly all our material needs at Hall Contracting. Always get prompt and efficient service from everyone in the office and Cameron, the tandem driver, is a rock star! Always delivers on time and gets the material exactly where my crews needs it. Definitely goes above and beyond for customers. As the project manager for Hall Contracting everyone here really makes my job easier with fast service and efficient deliveries for all my jobs!

This was a terrible experience all around, when I came in last week I delt with two employees face to face who were not wearing masks, one employee had her mask pulled down around her neck. Leah, who was the person who processed the transaction was extremely rude, she acted annoyed when I asked her questions about the product listed on her website, she clearly hates her job and very sternly told me that I better answer my phone when they call otherwise I wont be getting my delivery. I left without getting any type of receipt or paperwork and then when the delivery showed up they dropped off 1.74 tons of product instead of the 2 tons that I asked for, so lets hope I have enough gravel to finish my project because I will never shop here again. What a joke

This company is absolutely terrible to work with. The employees are rude, each issue with orders is blamed on Policy or Thats trucking side of things. Absolutely will not do business here. Buyers beware, PICK ANYONE ELSE!EDITED - I have already left a message for a Regional Manager to call me. Meanwhile am researching capabilities of taking my business elsewhere. I bought six tons of the 1.5 inch grey rose to supplement the rock I already had. The rock they delivered was mostly 4 to 6. Because of the larger rock it did not spread out as much and did not match the existing rock . I ended up about 2 tons short. I called and asked if they could work with me and give me free delivery. They would only give me 10% off and $4.00 off delivery. My complaint is that the sample they showed me is not what they delivered. So buyer beware the sample you are shown may not be what you get.

Ive been going to the Parker Pioneer Landscape Center for about 8 years and have always appreciated how hard everyone works in that office. They really do a fantastic job for having such a small location to work with on that busy Parker Rd.For a couple years now a wonderful lady by the name, Elsie has been working there... Every time i see her she has a big smile on her face! Shes very knowledgable, smart, and a pleasure to work with. I hope corporate notices the value she adds to the company and treats her well because good help is hard to find in this current booming economy with the unemployment rate less than 4%. Retaining incredible people for this type of business will play a big roll on the success of the company. Keep up the good work, Elsie:)

I’ve done a lot of business with Pioneer over the years. Everyone has their good and bad experiences but I’ve noticed that in the last 18 months the service has declined greatly. My goal is not to disparage the business but to make the staff aware of what is likely affecting business. I’ve been in twice in the last few weeks and had to wait 15+ minutes to get loaded and another 15+ minutes to get taken care of in the office. I never had this problem a few years ago. The product isn’t in the condition it used to be in and their facility is falling apart. While other stores are thriving, invest some money in this store. It’s in a great spot with no competition in sight, bring it back to life! I would love to bring more of my business back.

We had ordered our rock a week prior to the delivery date. They asked for us to put a card on file and so my husband left his credit card information. Nothing was charged or pending or anything. Then the day of delivery which was Saturday June 13th the store manager calls (she doesn’t say her name) and tells my husband his card is declining. He gets on his mobile bank app to see what is going on and sees a charge from Pioneer in the amount of what we owe is pending. So he then tries to tell her that he sees a pending charge in the amount of what we owe. She immediately starts arguing with him and telling him they haven’t charged him and it was just a pre-auth and our card is declining. He tells her he sees the charge in their name and she tells him he’s wrong. He then asks to speak to someone else as she was not being respectful and was telling him we were in the wrong. She tells him they can’t deliver the rock, to hold and she’ll get someone, and she then hangs up. He called back and someone else (I believe her name is Leah) picked up and was actually able to help us and explain the pre-auth will drop by next week and then they’ll charge us the actual amount next week. Thankfully they did deliver the rock and Leah was able to actually help us and we really did appreciate her! But the way the store manager talked to my husband was disgusting for someone who is supposed to be running the store. But thank you Leah for sorting everything out and getting us our rock!

I ordered 7 yards of mulch from the Parker location. It was delivered right on time (about 4pm). When they dumped it, I told the driver (Cameron) that it sure didnt look like 7 yards. He thought is was pretty close but that it might be a tad short. He told me he would go back and get me a little more to make me happy. Cameron came back when I wasnt home and dumped probably 2-3 more yards! He also text me a picture to show me he had come back! Awesome customer service!!!!!

I went in to Pioneer in Parker on Tuesday April 9th. The store was very busy and all the sales reps were taken by other customers a bald tattooed man approached me to see if I needed any help or had any questions. This man that goes by the name of Cameron also told me he was the delivery driver and he would try his best to get all of my questions answered after talking to him for about 10 to 15 minutes he was able to answer all of my questions and get the prices I needed for my summer project I was so impressed with his customer service and his information on all of the products. I will be coming back here very soon with more questions and future purchases thank you again Cameron for all of your help.

They gave me a two hour window for a rock delivery which they overshot by an hour and a half. Homeowners have nothing to worry about, but be ready to pay employees to stand around for 3.5 hours. What happened to this company.... don’t say they are “on the way” if they haven’t even loaded yet, especially when required to be onsite for delivery. This location is 6 minutes from the job site. You would think a quick easy $70...

The products that give you are great. but Ive had instances where in my Ford Ranger bed theyve said they put a half a yard of mulch in, I come back in a hour to get another load and they want to charge me for a yard and a half for the same amount. Ive had a few discussions because of the level of mulch that was in the bed was exactly the same both times. Its just a Ford Ranger cant get much more than a maybe three-quarters of a yard of mulch. I wish they did it by wait so you knew exactly you were paying for for what you were getting. Take pictures if you plan on making multiple trips so they dont try to overcharge you the next time

We have been using Pioneer sand for our company HI DEF landscapes and design for about 6 years now. They have always helped us out from start to finish. When other companies have told us no pioneer has stepped up and really help us grow as a company. Thankyou !

After asking the front desk girl if what we where ordering had compost in it she said yes several times. Well surprise surprise it didn’t have compost in it. I appreciate them giving us pure compost to mix in with what they gave us but it was a less than stellar experience. The delivery was also late. Just too many strikes with this company.

As a landscaper for quality landscaping Cameron and Ryan are exceptional delivery drivers and always drop the product exactly where it needs to go and have excellent customer service. The sales reps at the store are also very wonderful to work with.

They loaded someone else first that was in line behind me. Then tried to put 2 tons in the back of my 20 year old 1500. Im no fool so I stopped him at around 1.5 tons. Which is half a ton over what I wanted.

I think the energy and culture for any business organization starts at the top. When I first started going to this Parker location 8 years ago it felt disorganized and no real structure put in place. Since Monique has been working there I have noticed a huge difference in all aspects of that location. Her charismatic leadership I believe has really turned that location around. You can tell she cares about the company and all the people in it. She has done an incredible job and I’ve noticed big time! Thank you, Monique!!!

Apparently their much is all reserved. When I grabbed the sample the lady says they were out and wouldn’t get any in for awhile. I walked to the stockpile and there was the same mulch that she said she didn’t have. I asked for the mulch and she couldn’t get me one pick up load because it was all reserved. Poor attitude and customer service. Acted like I was inconveniencing her. After 15 years coming here I will make a change to shop in a place that welcomes customers.

Purchased planters mix yesterday (Sunday). For $122 I received a load (3 yards) of sand, large and small dirt clods, virtually no mulch and no manure. I pay $88 near Franktown for thoroughly ground/mixed top soil, mulch, sand and manure. I would buy from Pioneer again.

Avoid this company at all cost. They are constantly late, when I say late I mean by 5 hours or more. They have shorted me 2 different times on material and told me it was my measurements. I have been landscaping for 20 years, I have never been off by that huge of a margin. They have delivered the wrong material on four different occasions and still owe me a over $1500 in credits for almost 2 years now. You want to use them, you have been warned.

I ordered two loads of rocks and took the day off and they never showed up. I called their office multiple times and Monique just kept sending me to dispatch and nobody answered or called back after I left five messages.

As a landscape contractor all I have to say pioneer went down hill the last several years. I use to shop here exclusively, but have since taken my business elsewhere. I simply stopped in to take a look at the bubbling rock they had on display and to purchase 3 of them for a job we are currently doing. All I did was walk over to the display 3 feet off the path to get a better look at the fountain to see what size brass fitting I would need to purchase for the pump. I was yelled at by an employee who said I was lucky that the main yard guy wasnt there because he would have chewed me out for taking a look at the fountain and stepping off the path. He told me to step away....LONG AND THE SHORT OF IT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

No customer service. The guys in the office simply dont care how long you sit and wait to be loaded. Every time I come here its the same slow and pathetic service. Prices are a bit high too. Its a shame that there isnt another supply yard in parker.

Disappointing customer service from the start. Whomever helped us was clearly not happy to be working that day. Grumpy was the best word to describe him. We told him we needed X amount of top soil. He said ok Ill play along and then proceeded to over quote us by a ton. Literally a ton. We did get what we needed and it was a relatively quick and painless experience but I believe businesses ought to treat their customers with some kindness and that was sorely lacking here.

Update:After seeing this review the Store Manager called and arranged to get the overcharge refunded, so Im adding a star back in for getting the problem solved.I went in and asked for help to get an estimate on how much topsoil and rock I would need for a backyard landscaping project. They gave me a number and trusting them I ordered what they recommended. As it turns out they oversold me on everything by almost double.The second issue I ran into is that they overcharged my credit card and when I contacted them they grumbled but agreed to refund the extra amount, but then they never give the refund. Contacting them further involves getting the run around and not getting anywhere.I give them 1 star for getting me the materials in a timely fashion, but have a good idea of how much materials you need before going in.
