Really unfortunate trip to The Parker location. I’m not a contractor just a diy home owner looking to refresh an existing deck, showed up looking to compare materials and pricing and get some advise on what to order. Was hoping to order what I needed today! Doors are locked ( I believe due to social distancing which is fine) so I called the number posted on door, as 4 employees watched me through the glass stand there and pull out my phone. Expressed that I needed assistance and would like to place an order, was told that there is no one there to assist with loading. Informed that I would like delivery since I needed some larger pieces (16’ plus) so not an issue. Was rudely told that delivery was out for roughly 5 business days, and really trying to make it seem like he didn’t want the sale. When I said that delivery date would be fine and asked if I could look at some samples and pricing I was told that he doesn’t know any pricing due to the change in the market recently and that the only way to get pricing is to email a product list. I reiterated that I’m just a diyer and wouldn’t know exactly what to email and that if they don’t want my business I’ll take it elsewhere. Unfortunate, seems like a business many people would like to do business with, conveniently located, employee owned. But their website clearly is wrong when it states that front counter personal are willing to deal with walk in home owners.

Absolutely rude customer service. Derrick had zero desire to help us place our order and three other employees literally turned the other way when my husband was at the door wanting to place an order. Do not bother with this lumbar yard.

Sort of a small fish/big pond situation if you are a retail customer. The lumber we received was bowed, bent, cracked and damaged beyond belief. Their return/exchange “policy”!7/ far from convenient, so we were stuck. We actually had to change the dimensions of our product because so much was unusable. Probably worth looking elsewhere unless you are a contractor or have transportation and can ditch their delivery.

Do not do any business with this lumber yard. I have been doing business with them even when they were over there on Parker road for probably 30 years. And now they only sell to the Is track builders. Stay away Im sure the owner must be a Is democrat Is a small companys must stay together is there and even when they start getting more material do not buy from them theyre on theyre only for the big boys that that is so sad that a company would run themselves in the ground like that

Their website has said theyre open several times and we go to find theyre closed every time. Today they said they were closed to us but were helping another couple so apparently theyre only open to help certain people. The employee helping them told us he didnt know when theyd be open again. Then as we left he said theyre open at 7:00 a.m. Monday. So clearly they have an issue picking a story and sticking to it.

Very inconsistent communication and lack of professionalism. Every time I called this place I received very different information and employees would list off who they thought I talked to previously so they could throw that person under the bus for the incorrect information. The lumber yard itself is disorganized and forget asking if they know what they have because what one person says wont match what another one says and definitely wont match whats in the yard. Either way, I found something, asked for a price, built an estimate around that pricing, got it approved, called literally the next business day and the price was 50% more. They argued it was COVID. Ive been running my construction business through COVID also and never once has a cost of supply gone up 50% in one business day. There is a shortage though and so I paid the difference at my own profit loss and they did not care at all, threw someone else under the bus obviously. Oh and the price they actually charged me was higher than what they said they were charging me on top of that. Didnt stop there though because why would it? They gave my contractor who I sent to pick it up grief too saying we needed an order number they never gave me. I wonder whose fault that was? Haha. Sounds to me like everyone needs to get fired or retrained, no one here knows whats going on.

Ordered from here a few times to build our pergola. The ladies here are top notch! They had helpful suggestions, and could answer my questions quickly. Plus, we got both our orders of wood super quickly--in just a couple days! One order was short a couple of pieces and they ran it right over!

Used Alpine Lumber of Parker on the recommendation of a contractor friend. Got decent service from the staff inside despite being bounced from attendant to attendant. Then was given a quote for 300 2x4x8 and 35 pressure treated 2x4x12. Price was around 70 cents more per board on 2x4x8. Not for nothing but I thought for good lumber out the door it was worth the cost. Delivery went great. Got the wood into basement and realized over half the delivery was edge cuts. Almost all the pressure treated was bowed and warped. At least 30 of the boards were miss cut and oddly shaped. 10 were split. Did I call them no! If you need to call a company to get them to deliver quality the second time they get 1 star!!

I was a bit frustrated this time around. (I have used them before) Ordered deck materials to be delivered. Composition boards so this wasnt cheap. After the order our contractor stated I should get his discount. I went back in and they said they already gave me the best price. Really? No way to tell. I also had a few boards not needed so I returned them which went well. However, I mentioned I had clips left offer to hold the deck boards down and I was told they would take them back. Made a separate trip to return them and then told only full buckets. I agree with another poster that if I was a contractor I probably would have gotten better service.

Called to get a quote on a deck approximately 960 SF. The guy that answered (Juan) refused to put in the effort of putting a list together based on the square footage I gave. In my opinion, one should have the knowledge to put a materials list together in a lumber yard for the frame and decking at least. Didnt have that problem with Foxworth Galbraith.

As I pulled in to return some lumber this morning, a person in a fluorescent vest (who I had to assume was an employee) waived me over to the exit lane as I’m sure he noticed I was returning materials from the look of my truckbed. I did not have my receipt but as I told the gentleman who greeted me, “I didn’t need a refund, just a credit to put towards the materials I needed to buy today”. He made it sound like he was doing me the world’s biggest favor by issuing the $30 credit even after spending $500+ there in July alone. HD or Lowe’s would not have thought twice about issuing the credit. As I waited for him to return with my credit card, a different employee told me I had to move my truck out the exit lane to which I responded “As soon as I get my card back, I’ll move”. He proceeded to tell me to move again and as I began to tell him that a fellow employee was the person who directed me to the exit lane with my lumber return, I realized this guy was far too special to understand the circumstance. So I told him again that as soon as I get my credit card back, I’m gone. He then snidely said to another customer “Thanks for understanding how to use the exit lane”. So needless to say, this will be the last time I spend $ there. Oh and one last thing, if you do ever decide to brave the customer service gauntlet of Alpine lumber, best of luck getting someone to help you load your purchase! Forklift driver be like “You want me to do whaaaaa?!

As a residential customer youre not a priority and are ignored which is understandable as contractors keep them floating. For me, Im no longer a customer. Too many times have I been told one thing over the phone only to find out they dont carry the product after driving in. While being the only customer in the yard, my last pickup took 30 minutes for someone to show even though I was waiting in the middle of the yard at the crossroads where I was passed multiple times. Furthermore, when trying to leave, I couldnt get out of the gates. I had to leave my vehicle and walk into the store front to find the gate monitor on her personal smart phone. For an employee owned operation they give the impression of their being there is a favor.

Really expensive. They usually have what you need but youll pay for it! Pressure treated is 40% more than Depot, their plywood is ridiculous(made them match Depots price since they were 50% more), GRK screws were double Depots price, ticket is always wrong AFTER theyve run your card. They just want homebuilder business apparently. Every time I go in there I get gouged. Service is nothing special either. Ordered a whole bunk of 2x6 studs and had to recut every one because of the variance in length. Learned my lesson-I will stay away.
