Customer service representatives are all very friendly and helpful. I took my dad in today to shop for a new mattress we were greeted as soon as we entered the building. Travis the initial representative to approach us very polite friendly helpful guided us to the area we needed to be in and explained he was currently working with another customer at the time. As we were looking at mattresses and waiting for Travis to be able to help us Scott walked by asked if he could help us in anyway and got us started on our purchase. Then Travis finished the sale along with help from Tiffany once we completed that transaction Travis also was very knowledgeable and helpful in the selection of new living room furniture. This is the second time I’ve personally dealt with Travis he’s done an amazing job both times with walking me through the process will definitely be purchasing furniture again from value city and Travis thank you so much

Stopped in to begin a search for new furniture today. I was met at the front by Bridget Behn. She was a delightful young lady to deal with in several ways. Great smile, friendly and warm, well spoken, knowledgeable, attentive to my expressed needs, and willing to take time with me to go through the inventory and answer all of my questions. After hearing what I was looking for, she showed me several options and I believe gave sound advice on each group of furniture we looked at. I felt very comfortable working with her as she was not pushy and did not try to lead me into something more than what I was looking for. I didnt purchase from her today due to the wait time it would be for my furniture set. This is not her issue at all, it seems to be industry wide thing. Great experience both past and present with Value City Furniture products. We have purchased couches, dining sets and mattresses that have lasted for YEARS. Our current dining set has last for over 15yrs!This evening we had another great experience updating our couch and loveseat. Our salesman, Travis, was helpful thoughtful and genuinely interested in our unique preferences. He allowed us to freely shop without pressure and gave us honest tips from differing prospectives.

Went to look at furniture on the first day. Bridget was great to work with. She showed us around, gave us all the pros and cons on the furniture, it was a good experience overall and she was very helpful. When we went buy to purchase the furniture Bridget was off but Travis filled in excellently. It was a smooth transition dealing with him and in addition to the furniture we looked at with Bridget, he helped us choose wall art. He bundled our items up and stored them in the back for shipping. 5 Star experience with Nick Sargent. This person really helped our family with a couple issues we had with our contract (we relocated during our contract-and needed to change pick up location). I was not concerned with the wait time at all due to Covid. My main concern was receiving the wrong ottoman and wrong color couch.. I ordered the Collin Modular Sectional in a solid Charcoal WITH the ottoman and I received the Ethan Ottoman in a totally different color (NO ONE caught the mistake). I also received the couch in a non solid dark gray color. I am very unhappy with this store. When I called they acted as if it was really no big deal. The rep even laughed about the mistake. Extremely unprofessional and unpleasant experience.

My fiance and I went in looking for bedroom furniture, Scott was the first to approach us. We had sorta decided on what we wanted but wanted to talk about it. We went back a few days later and Bridget approached us showed us a few things and I asked for Scott (I am the type that likes to do business with the same person, especially if it has to do with commission) he was on lunch. When he came back they agreed to split commission and we ordered the bed and dresser that I absolutely fell in love with. They were both super helpful and friendly. We went in for a living room set and were not disappointed in the quality of what we found, though due to COVID it will take us a bit longer to get the furniture than we had planned. Belinda ( I hope I spelled her name right) is amazing to work with! She’s super helpful but not pushy, let’s face it everyone hates walking into a furniture store bc usually the salesmen are so pushy and stock you around but Belinda wasn’t like that. She checked on me from time to time and answered all my questions! We will see how well the furniture holds up but you can’t deal with anyone better than Belinda or her manager! Overpriced, furniture doesnt last, warranties are fake, go the BIG LOTS or anywhere else and save yourself the headache and money.

Never do the acceptance now option. Figured out its charging you 60% interest and paying over double when your done, it wasnt on the bill and caught it after said items should have been paid off, called and found out what the interest was and paid it off. Company not worth doing business with.

My wife and I recently purchased bunk beds from Value City Furniture in Parkersburg, WV. We were very impressed with the sales staff, specifically Karissa, who was very knowledgeable about all of the products that we were interested in. She explained very well the different options/configurations that were available in the bunk beds (trumble vs drawers and ladder versus stairs) that we were looking at. She also was very helpful in picking out a mattress. She made the process of purchasing very simple. She explained the optional warranty that we elected to purchase. One of the selling points is that if the warranty is not needed by the end of the time period, the value of the warranty is able to be converted to store credit which my wife and I thought was a nice selling point. Overall, our experience was very positive. We came to the store expecting to just gather information to help us eventually make our purchase in a few weeks. Karissa was so knowledgeable and helpful that we felt confident enough to make our purchase today, and we’re very glad we did. Karissa was very honest and we valued her recommendations. She made us feel good about the purchases we made. We recommend Value City Furniture in Parkersburg to anyone in the market for new furniture. I’m sure all of the sales staff are great, but if she’s available, ask for Karissa!

The first two places we shopped for a loveseat we were told “we don’t carry those on the floor. Whatever couches we have, we can get a loveseat for you.” Buy without sitting on it? No thanks! Value City Parkersburg had a large variety of furniture, including loveseats. We found exactly the loveseat we were looking for. Travis was helpful but didnt follow us around like a puppy as at many other places. He answered questions, offered us options, and walked us through buying. The loveseat with chaise we bought will replace a loveseat and chair we bought at VC Parkersburg almost 49 years ago. Full circle! We will also buy a dining room set there later this year.

I never post anything about stores, small business ect, because I understand things happen. This I feel is on a different level.We came in and chose a mattress for our home in late March we bought it out right. There were manufacturer faulties. (The springs were broken in the middle of the mattress)I called and asked if we could exchange it, value city said yes you can, you have the sleep night guarantee. That was that. I got out trailer together put the mattress on it and headed to value city (mind you Im a little over an hour away) when I arrived they told us that the person on the phone should have told us they need to come inspect the mattress before it can be returned. I said okay what are our options? They said they would let us exchange it this one time.We went and picked out a bed and they said it wouldnt be in until April 15. Okay thats fine, we needed a bed. April 14th rolls around and I get a phone call stating that out mattress wouldnt arrive until May 4rth now. We told them that we wanted a refund. After buying a $600 mattress, trying to do an exchange and then for them to tell us that they dont do refunds just store credit. Okay, whatever well wait until May 4rth. Today rolls around and we are told its not going to be here until June now!!! We had to call in to see if it was ready to pick up today, we did not get a phone call! I am beyond livid, about how we have been treated!

Lied about the delivery date, could possibly take until September. The only reason I give it one star is because the refund was easy enough.

They ordered the correct matress king size but then ordered the base in a queen size! They are acting as if this is my fault and like I am inconveniencing them. Very unprofessional and insensitive. Now I get to wait yet another three weeks. No offer of a discount or anything on another bed or something else to sleep on until mine comes in, just its human error and that it wasnt done maliciously Be sure to ask to see their computer screen before they order so that YOU can make sure THEY do the job correctly that they do everyday.

Friendly staff, large inventory. The prices are low, but the quality of the furniture reflects that. It looks really good now, but close inspection reveals cardboard backs on a lot of wood pieces and upholstered furniture built with partical board and cardboard instead of plywood like better pieces are. I dont think it will hold up as well.
