Go here. I wont say it again. Vanilla cookie dough concrete. Thank me later. You cannot go wrong here if you want a frozen treat. I normally like to go for more off the wall flavors, raspberry, orange creamsicle, raspberry, etc, ones that places only have on occasion (this place included). Here though? Vanilla is more than enough for me. Its just so good! And I am thankfully for their online site to let me know of their special flavors. I will always love coming here. (Unless its really cold out)
I wish I can give more than 5 stars, this place sells a real ice-cream. Our family miss them from December to March, but we always visit them on March 1st opening day.
We love East Coast Custard and come here many times a month. While the Turtle Sundae that I had was wonderful, I was disappointed that I couldnt order the Monthly Peach Cobbler Sundae that was on their website. Apparently all of the peaches were already gone!
Have been to this location in the past and a relative used to work one of their locations several years ago. The selections and they have to offer is good- but sometimes when I have gone here in the past- it is really overcrowded. It is a good ice cream and custard shop for being near by- but I would recommend to this company that they would update the building or build a larger section with a dining room to it and would add more staff.
What is it about the Parma/Brooklyn area and great little fast food/treats places? This place is great. Its cheap, old-school and delicious custard. The only quibble is not a lot of variety when it comes to flavors. And this is one of the places where a scene from Stranger Than Paradise was filmed.
Tasty custard. Mouth watering ice creams. I have never tasted such a yummy creams. Lovely. This will be my all time favourite place forever.
The Concrete is just phenomenal! Any combination of goodies (with a terrific selection to boot) made fresh -on the spot. Always delicious! Cant say enough good things about East Coast Custard. My forever favorite!
I always love bringing the family here. Their custard is amazing. Im not a huge fan of the frozen yogurt, but some flavors are ok. Today I had one of their new vegan ice creams with oat milk (double chocolate chocolate chip I think) and it was amazing! Highly recommended!!
Best spot in the cleveland area . A must do .great prices great friendly people.
Their concretes are really tasty! The cookie dough concrete is the best!
Such great ice cream and custard 🍨! I will say it does get very busy on the weekend, but no matter what the staff is very helpful and kind.
Had delicious vegan Chocolate Raspberry Truffle ice cream on a cone. First time I had a cone in about 3 years and the ice cream was delicious in texture, soft serve like and creamy. I have also had the vegan Jamocha Chocolate Chip too. Delicious.
We try to go to the East Coast Frozen Custard a couple of times each summer. Great selection and a wonderful staff. They have a drive through that is always busy.Their walk up order windows are also busy.Worth the wait
Great place for custard! They have several flavors to choose from and all the other delicacies you want at an ice cream stand like Sundays, milkshakes, etc. My go to is the kids size turtle with chocolate topping and fresh pecans and a cherry on top. Always friendly workers there and very fast service.
This place is awesome. I wish they were open year around
Perfect turtles, every time. Good prices, friendly servers.
So damn good and creamy custard and yogurts. I live out of the state now but I make it a very important priority to come here while Im in town.
Always great custard and YogartWebsite is messed up and you cant count on their menu flavors and specials of the day which is frustrating. When bringing it to their attention they seemed they heard that tune before and werent much interested in putting forth an effort to correct it.
I don’t care what you say. There is nowhere better for a chocolate cone in this city.A staple in my life since post elementary school sports games. My go-to is a single chocolate on a cake cone, but when I’m feeling frisky I’ll switch it up to a nut covered, dipped waffle.Turtle sundaes and banana splits are made with respect! These guys know how to top it off!!Ice cream sodas, custard smoothies, and concretes also rock. Pick your mix-ins for a custom flavour!Special flavours rotate daily. I’m always there for chocolate raspberry truffle. YUM!Thanks, ECC, for all the good memories.
Yummy custard. Friendly competent staff. Whats not to love?
When it comes in Frozen Custard this place cannot be beaten.... Its out of this world!! Only complaint is the long lines..
5 stars. Always 5 stars. You cant go wrong coming here. Even if drive-through or standing lines are long, they move deceptively fast and any wait is well worth it.
We went on a hot summer evening. And though it was busy as could be the lines moved quickly and the entire staff was pleasant!
I had never had frozen custard before. I got a jumbo peanut butter cup concrete with choclate custard. If you are used to ice cream start off small. Thick, rich, decant and sinful, this custard is truly worth the drive. Walk up ordering to go or outside seating.
Love going there. Been eating their ice cream since the 1960s when they were at Euclid Beach.
You scream. I scream. We all scream for East Coast Frozen CustardTruly a simple pleasure & scrumptious treat. The west-side location near the intersection of Pearl Rd & Old York Rd with its nostalgic store front & picnic tables takes you back in time to circa 1960s. There is a Drive-Thru window for those taking extra precautions for their loved ones during the COVID pandemic. Terrific staff. Enjoy!
Always busy but always super delicious. Favorites are butter pecan, mint chocolate chip and white house but vanilla is always scrumptious.
Absolutely and must stop while in the Cleveland area. This is ice cream awesomeness!
Very very good very yes service good
The best custard near Parma. The Oreo cookie custard was great.
Delicious chocolate custard cone. After early no lines
My partner and I frequent a little top often. 😬 Great on the wallet, and on the tastebuds.. but not on the waistline. Blueberry is the best flavor.
The best place to get a frozen treat in town! Love this place!
Ice cream is bland at best, employees are rude and only worried about whats going on in there high school not about taking your order. Figured the drive through would be better but ice cream takes longer to prepare then a burger apparently no matter how long or short the line is it always takes 30mins then once you finally get the privilege to order they advertise flavors they have special of the month or specials of the day etc. that they dont have or they just ran out of went there 4x just to see if it was me or maybe it was bad luck but I guess thats just how they run there business save an hour of your day and disappointment and skip this place unless your a glutton for punishment and love fake advertising
This joint on a hot day..... You cant beat it!
What an amazing place to visit! Very first time here and I will be coming back. I went a little after 5 today and the gentleman at the drive thru was so kind. We had a small conversation while a young lady was making my order and everyone there is so genuine and friendly. Will be returning!!
Great place to get ice cream, fast service and the staff is very friendly and they work hard & quickly to make your order, a tiny bit pricey but I think its definitely worth the extra $$$!
Our new ice cream stop since my daughters move!
Good ice cream been going here since I was little
I love the cookie dough and my kids loved the vanilla
Took some out of town friend to East Coast Custard. They said it was better than the frozen custard they had back home.
Great Frozen Custard, reminiscent of the old Euclid Beach Amusement Park. Consistent quality, varied flavors all at great prices. Simply cannot be beat!
Im glad it wasnt busy b/c it was too hot to wait in line lol
I get the banana split everytime I come here and everytime its still delicious.
Best frozen custard in the world!
Awful! Heard so many good things as was excited to try. I ordered a bana split Sunday but what I got was a bowl of bana split soup. Hers a pic 3 mins after I went through the drive through line. Ended up tossing the whole thing in the garbage. Over hyped.
Going here over 20 years, only negative is how popular it is. They never disappoint.
East Coast Custard is the best place in all the Cleveland area to eat frozen custard. I just think of it as ice cream. It is so delicious, so creamy! My favorite is a turtle and my husbands is the pumpkin frozen custard they make in the fall. We average two trips a week there! Yum! Dont miss it. A delicious taste of heaven!
Welp, I had no idea what Anything Concrete was... and they are apparently yummy...
Stopped by on the way back from a huge dinner because look at that place...how can you not? Got a vanilla with butterscotch and had to pull over and eat it in a parking lot because it looked too good to wait the five minutes drive back to the hotel. Rich but not heavy, I really wished Id gotten a double even though I really didnt need it.
Been coming here since I was a kid, my grandmother would always take me. Everything is the same as it was then, and thats part of what makes it good.
This was only my second trip to East Coast Custard in Parma. Both times have been awesome! There were a lot of people in line, but it went quickly. There is enough seating for a crowd, unlike ECC on the far east side of town. The custard was so good. We had a couple of double dip cones which are huge and my husband had a chocolate peanut butter sundae which he said was excellent. We will definitely be back!
Really fun place with great ice cream, frozen yogurt, frozen custard, etc. Flavors vary daily, but they have the classic standards every day. They offer waffle cones, phosphates, sundaes, chili dogs, floats, concretes, and a number of other items, including tubs of ice cream you can take home. Outdoor seating with a walk up window. Drive through window as well. Sometimes, people meet up here on their motorcycles, or in their classic cars. Closed during the coldest months.
A classic. Some of the best ice cream you will ever consume.
Wish they had more custard flavors
Great ice cream! I dont think you can go wrong with any flavor of ice cream! However I really like their vanilla! Its a heavier ice cream and its filling! Service is always great and fast! Its a great place if you are in Parma heights!
I drove a distance to get a particular flavor, mint chocolate chip, to find out it is only offered on Thursdays. Bummer.
All I have to say is, whoever was disappointed in their visit here. Its their LOSS! I happened to go on their last day open last year and didnt realize the were closing till March 1st. It was a rough January and February after going every weekend. It is the best ever and to the people that are disappointed for whatever reason, more for us! Lololol
Love them. Had their Hot Apple Sundae and it was to die for!!!!
Best Dozen Custard in Cleveland!
Usually a family favorite the staff they had tonight you can tell were either new or just didnt care all standing around talking with a line full of people one staff member was extra unnecessarily rude taking orders but not putting in the computer then asking multiple times to repeat because they didnt ring it up first and couldnt remember hopefully goes back to normal with positive and polite staff
Always great in service and the frozen custard.
We have been going to this establishment in the summer time for over 23 years and have never experienced the type of attitude we did today. You really need to educate your minor children behind the counter on the proper ADA rules and the legal ramifications when you are dealing with people at your window with disabilities. The only reason why this is a 2 and not a zero is that the manager, once she finally got to the window, was respectful and did take our order after the other two kids were going to refuse service even after being told that there was a major disability involved.
Cashier wouldnt serve me because I wasnt wearing a mask. Thats fine, I understand the rules. But make it consistent and tell all customers you wont serve them if they arent wearing a mask. Dont just pick and choose who you feel like. Wont ever be back. Giving my business to Lumpys down the street.
Best ice cream in the state.
My husband and I went to get custard here yesterday, and we were very dissatisfied with the experience. We walked to the front of the building with our masks in our pockets. We saw the sign stating that masks were required to order at the window. We stayed 20 feet away as we figured out what to order. One male employee called out to us that we needed masks to order. We nodded in agreement. Several minutes later, as we were still figuring out our order 20 feet away from the employees, a female employee called out You need a mask to order. We wont take your order if you dont have a mask in a rude tone. We had not approached the counter yet, and would have put on a mask before doing so. We thanked the employees for their wonderful attitude and welcoming customer service and left without ordering. We still have not ordered any custard here, and we never will.
I love frozen custard over ice cream, this is the place to get it. They have multiple locations and all are very good. Their flavors dont change often as they always have vanilla and chocolate, but the simplicity is still good. I like that they have a sugar free option and it changes daily, it isn’t always vanilla unlike other places. It has been crazy busy these past few months, but it’s a must for summer.
The best in the CLE!
Delicious custard style ice cream. Not overly generous in their portion sizes, but the quality keeps us going back for more.
Great place to have a wonderfully delicious super sundae. Always delicious. Pecans are always fresh, tasty and crunchy. Love the variety of toppings they have! Good price too!!
The best frozen custard in Cleveland.
Been here a lot lately. My kids live it and try to be slick when we’re in the car and they recognize that we will be driving past. My 10yr old starts making comments like “Man, I’m really in the mood for some ice cream....” Lolz.... my boyz, never a dull moment.
I arrived plenty of time before the establishment closed. I asked for a featured flavor (pumpkin) and was told they were out til tomorrow. I asked why the sign was still up and was told “ no one feels like taking it down” with laughter from the young man at the register. I brushed it off despite traveling to this location for the sole purpose of getting this flavor. I then ordered a different flavor for which the young man comes back laughing “ your out of luck they already packed that up what else do you want”. I said nothing. I said there was no reason for anything to be packed up cause they weren’t closed. I was told sorry with more joking from staff. I Havnt been to ecc for many years and likely won’t return. Very displeased with the experience and the lack of professionalism by staff.
Best custard in Cleveland
Very good frozen custard with numerous flavors
Best place in the world to get some frozen custard
Enjoyed my visit to East Coast Custard in Parma Hts., where I had a single serving of Peach/red raspberry frozen yogurt. It was quite good and very cold, despite weather nearing 90°F. I ordered it in a plastic cup rather than a cone because in heat like this, wearing the yogurt is a possibility. Id rather eat it.My one criticism is the lack of painted lines in the parking area. We need some guidance for some customers who must get brain freeze when visiting and think they can park anywhere with impunity. I hope the owner takes notice and spends a few bucks on safety for his pedestrian customers.
No matter where I go or how far I am wander from Cleveland, East Coast custard has been a frequent subject of my nostalgic rants to anyone who will listen about how good frozen custard is when done right for the last decade. Delicious and creamy, never too sweet or distracted by frills, I love this place. Check the flavor calendar and pick a day that suits you.
Good place to stop for delicious ice cream.
I go there because my wife likes the custard. I think its overpriced
Maybe because it was the end of summer but they didnt have many custard choices. The drive thru was extremely slow and long. It may benefit to have the menu available farther away from the order window so people are ready to order at the window.
Good ice cream and smoothies
Great taste priced right
