I wish you could give zero stars.During pickup of my truck, I was told I had to have “Safemove” coverage, because it was a one-way trip. I told the girl helping me I didn’t want the coverage and was told again that I had to have it.After reading fine print, the coverage is optional and now I can’t get a refund. Tried customer service, and no luck.I wouldn’t even be upset about the charge if I had missed it, but being lied to is a different story. 3 other employees were standing around listening to the conversation and they didn’t say anything about the coverage being optional.U-haul is a joke.

Great customer service on the phone and in-person. My friend had been storing some things in my garage until she got settled. She got a U-Box delivered to my place. We were prepared well to know what to expect, and the delivery driver was professional and helpful.

Worst customer service! I have now had to take 3 days off from work waiting on my U-Box to be delivered. First drop-off date the employee scheduled on a day they don’t do deliveries. Second drop-off date (made by the manager Jose) was never entered into the system and I was told there was no way I could have any confirmation for the drop-off appointment. So now I’m on attempt three of receiving my belongings. Today Gustavo was the only associate that had ANY empathy for my situation and actually scheduled the drop for tomorrow. I immediately received an email confirmation. I appreciate Gustavo and his help today. I’m incredibly displeased and disappointed in the lack of support, customer service, and follow through of the manager on duty Jose.

I honestly can’t believe this just happened.I reserved a truck for Saturday morning. Key wasn’t in the spot it said it would be in. Called the manager and they said I need to wait till they open. I was charging movers by the hour and wasted money for the first hour because they weren’t organized.Two days after I returned the truck I get a voicemail saying I need to return the truck because people are waiting for it. I called back and after a series of being told they essentially don’t believe me, they finally checked the cameras. Then they called back and didn’t apologize, didn’t admit they were wrong, just said they checked the truck in.Unbelievable. You just accused me of auto theft and not even a “oops”. Trust me, everyone will be hearing about this. 0 stars if it were possible.

Deserves zero stars. Absolute waste of time. We showed up at 6AM as scheduled and didnt get the truck till 7:30. Employees were just standing around and didnt pay attention at all. Then they accused us of not returning the truck. Whoever the lady was on the phone was super rude and didnt even apologize. She should lose her job for accusing us of stealing with no basis.

If I could give them half a star or zero stars I definitely would. After calling you how many times and being put on hold anywhere between 15 minutes and half an hour, I scheduled an appointment for 2 weeks out to get a hitch installed. I turn up to my appointment on time, not only do I wait half an hour to even get to the counter to be seen, but Im told that they dont even have the parts to install the hitch and Ill need to reschedule my appointment. I took off work, and took the time to drive out there, just to be told that they are unable to do their jobs efficiently. If you want to be on hold forever, get ahold of someone who doesnt know what theyre doing, or just want to be ignored, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay far far far away... As far as you can.

Tried to rent a trailer to tow a vehicle 15 miles distance and they wanted to charge me 108$ plus tax for the use of 2 hours paid a tow truck driver 60$ and didnt have to waste my fuel and time signing paperwork with uhaul

Horrible service. We made a reservation and the truck was not available at the scheduled time. The manager (Jose Jaimez) spoke to us and provided very little help. We had to insist that he help us make other arrangements. It took him 10 minutes to say Im sorry and then passed the buck to his corporate office. Will never visit this location again and will explore all other options before renting with uhaul in the future,

I am very disappointed in my experience with uhaul on court Street I rented a auto transport from them I got into king city and the brakes were locked up on the trailer I called uhaul and they said i had to call road side assistance I did that and not one person answered the phone I could not get ahold of anyone I will never rent from uhaul again

Rented a one way auto transporter and had 2 days on the rental. I bring the equipment a day early 2 hours before closing. I was brought back by an employee to drop the trailer off. Trailer is dropped off and I ask if I need anything else like a signature. Rudely replies no sir you can leave. Whatever have a good day too. I never received an email confirming rental close out didn’t think anything of it. I get a email 4 days later of rental contract saying I am charged a $20 after hours service fee. I called to square this away and I’m asked to be put on hold. They left me on the phone for 20min and told me there was nothing they could do about it I told them I would just call corporate and they furiously replied that they didn’t care. So I call corporate and the office is saying I would have to go through all these different departments blah blah blah. I get down to the facts that are on paper as the contract says I rented on 2/22/2021 1:14pm and returned at 2/24/2021 1:00pm clearly they were opened and clearly I did not return equipment after hours. Corporate “refunded” the money. Point is the employees here should have handled this situation here correctly. These people are lazy and should find another job that they hate and try and scam people.

Hi,I just wanted to inform U-Haul of extremely poor customer service at one of their locations. Yesterday I traveled to Pasco, WA to pick up a car I purchased online. Before leaving on my 3 hour drive to get there I checked with the uhaul.com website to ensure there would be available trailers capable of transporting my vehicle. According to the website U-Haul Storage of Pasco was only a couple miles from my destination and had a few available so I chose to go there. When I arrived there was a line in front of me and while waiting for my turn I couldnt help notice how rude they were to the customers in front of me. When it came to be my turn they were immediately just as rude and acted as if my presence in their store was causing an unnecessary and overwhelming burden on them. I then told the lady I saw on the U-Haul website they have an auto transport trailer available and I would like to rent it. She told me that U-Haul does not rent trailers for transporting vehicles. I showed her the signage on the wall displaying the different types of trailers U-Haul offers and she continued to argue with me claiming they dont exist. The manager then came over and told her to just rent me a flatbed trailer. I explained I wanted to transport a vehicle and I needed an auto transport trailer. He then got mad at me and told me they werent going to help me and walked away. I turned back to the lady and pointed out an auto transport trailer that was visible through the security camera screen and asked here if they were going to rent the trailer to me or not. She huffed and then asked if I was going to return it within an hour. I explained that I was going to be transporting it one way. She said that U-Haul doesnt do that and I would have to have the trailer returned by then end of business hours. I said I guess Ill just have to take my business somewhere else, like Penske. Is that what you want? She leaned back in her chair, folder her arms, and wouldnt talk to me anymore so I left.On my way to find a Penske dealer I noticed another U-Haul location, U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer and I decided to talk to them first. Im glad I did. The staff at this location was very friendly and helpful. They reassured me that most U-Haul locations are not like the Storage of Pasco location and that they themselves dread every time they have to interact with the people there. Thanks to the guy at the Neighborhood Dealer location I left as a very satisfied customer and was able to get my car home safe and sound.Hopefully U-Haul corporate looks into the the business practices at the Storage of Pasco location because if customers continue to experience what I witnessed yesterday, their business will surely be in serious jeopardy.

And there’s a lock on my storage that I haven’t put anything inside yet. And I’ve been waiting for about an hour now with no help! You guys suck!

I rented a 26ft uhaul from them. While waiting in line there was a customer complaining about being charged prior to dropping off the truck and the employee said that they dont charge until after the truck is dropped off because then they can check if theres any damage and charge him for it. Well, that was a lie because i myself got charged as soon as I gave my debit card and then charged again after I dropped off the truck and then again a few days later. First it was 87 then 101.72 and then again two days later everything together when it was only suppose to be $87all together from the initial agreement plus i only travel from pasco to west richland which is 32 miles and they charge me for 92 miles which doesnt make sense because I had a storage with them picked up the truck at 5:30pm loaded the truck was out by 6:25pm and returned the truck by 8:00pm. So I have no idea were there getting the extra miles. Ive contacted corporate since Jose the General manager supposedly is always busy. He needs to take care of his customers/job because Im the type that I dont leave things alone into he gets his crew in the right path or corporate takes care of him! Im very upset with the service they provide. I have some friends that work there and they told me he had no meeting its his excuse to get away from customers. I do not like to be stolen from!!!

If I could give this place negative rating I would do so. In the past, there was a price break on propane for amounts over 20 gallons. 4 weeks ago, the person filling my cylinders would not listen to me regarding their propane nozzle as it was worn and creating a huge safety hazard with excessive gas, which is also, money into the wind. TWO weeks ago, I went back to get a re-fill and the same situation was still, present. In addition, the price break over 20 gallons was suddenly ceased and the amount I spent was well over the top. When inquiry was made as to whether or not the price break would be re-instated, the new manager replied that they wont know until they heard back from the corporate office. So before I set out on this day of 12/1/18 to re-fill my tanks I called the U haul customer service line only to find out that, they never had a corporate wide policy to begin with. So the bottom line is, this location, and the manager, lied.If you, the manager, and the employees, have no ethics and continue to lie and treat your customers with disdain and disrespect, then I can assure you, you will not survive the coming year under the business practice in which you are now operating. You may be a large outfit, but word of mouth will kill a business faster than anything else.DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION AND DO NOT EXPECT ANY COMPETENT ASSISTANCE!!!!Rent from Ryder or Penske or any other company!!!!

Theyve got all the supplies I needed. I was in the store for 15 minutes before any worker acknowledged me but the lady who checked me out was nice and courteous. I made a reservation for a 17 truck online but when I got there, they only had a 15 truck and I had to wait an hour because they had to replace the tire on the 15. Overall I was satisfied with the service.

Horrible communication and customer service. I spent 5 hours on the phone with them while trying to track down where to check in to my storage with them. Every time you call a local line, it redirects you to a 1-800 number. Overall just horrible experience with U-Haul. Multiple promises made to me before making this review to make it right, but so far (1 week later) I have not been reimbursed as promised or been contacted by the area manager. I highly reccomend staying far away from this company and using a Penske truck. Please message me if you care to hear more details

Do not rent from this location. worst customer service. I reserved a 6x12 trailer with ramp. When I got there they did not have the trailer with ramp I reserved and I was told it was the trailer without ramp I reserved. Had to show the online check in that it had a ramp. Then it became oh that one came back broke so we just have the one without. Decided to rent the one without the ramp and I had to hook it to my truck myself. If I wasnt moving and in a pitch I would had not rented from them.

They wouldnt check my vehicle in and settle the bill with me when I returned the rental truck even though they were not very busy. Instead, they sent me on my way saying that I would likely receive a credit on my bill. The next day they sent me a bill and charged my credit card for fuel even though the fuel level on return was higher than what it was when I picked it up. The bill also showed that I only drove it 27 miles, which was accurate. I put over 3 gallons of fuel in it before I returned it. When I called to dispute the fuel charge, they put me on hold for a total of over 30 minutes. I am filing a complaint against u-haul. Run away from doing business with this location and u-haul at all! Will never do business with u-haul again!!

They dont even deserve one star. Always have to ask them to move their equipment out from i frontof our unit so that we have access. They start calling you on the day that fees are due, dont even give you a chance to pay before they are hounding you, and then when you do pay on time they still lock your unit. Every time we come in there is always someone questioning charges on their billing statement. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone!

My son a law went to rent a trailer and found that his lighting connector was not working. Then they told him that they had replaced it and it still didnt work. They said he had a wiring issue with his truck. So, he bought it to me to check out and it was quite obvious that they had not swapped out connector since it had old dirty electrical tape still all around the wires and there were no other connectors. The only issue was some corrosion and a missing pin on the connector. We got a new connector and wired it up and it worked just fine. I really dont know why they would say that they had done something that they had not and lead you astray. In my book that is dishonest.

This was our first experiance with U-Haul. We reserved a pickup truck online to tow a trailer. When we came in to pick it up there were two lines. Three people were serviced ahead of me in my line. Another employee came out and started to help me. He left without a word when a customer in another line said we were not a line and helped their line. We moved to the end of that line but they still helped people from our old line.After we were finally helped we asked to make sure the truck had a tow hitch, we got all the way throught to purchasing insurance when we asked about a price difference, and they finally told us they had changed our reservation to a van. It seemed they were trying get us to pay before telling us they did not have our reserved truck on hand. Because of the time they wasted, we ended up not being able to complete our time sensitive project.We will never use this location again and we will tell everyone we know that they were unorganized, unprofessional and deceptive to their customers.

First of all, what kind of employee doesn’t explain what kind of vehicle he is giving you. Second, why wouldn’t he explain that the mileage fee is a dollar instead of .69 cents a mile? WHICH IS WHAT THE WEBSITE SAYS IT IS. Very rude of an employee to make you pay extra for the vehicle you didn’t need just to rush you off their lot. Will definitely not be going back here again.

I was told by a rep. to take trailer to Kennewick branch I get there they say my deposit is not there and I could wait a week for a check they call there boss and no response. Im told they dont keep cash on hand because employees steal it! Do after an hour they tell me to hook the trailer back up and take it to Pasco. I get to the Pasco branch and they have 2 people working 15 customers waiting and say it could take 2 hrs. What a joke u-haul of Kennewick and Pasco is. Do Im out several hrs. of my time extra gas to commute to another branch.Do not rent from or return to Pasco and Kennewick U-haul. Totally unprofessional and unfriendly. Kids doing a job none know nothing about. Ive been here since 9:30 a.m. its now 12;05 p.m. and the kid cant oppetate the cpmputer to give me my deposit back. 😲 OMG

RENTER BEWARE!!! Did a rental online, got a call less than 12 hours before pickup to say they didnt have a truck for us. Had to pick a new day to move, got to Uhaul, they once again didnt have a truck for us..moving day moved AGAIN. Finally on the third time we got a rental.Never got an Im sorry..nothing. I called the 800 number, I got hung up on by 3 different people when I started asking how can this even happen?? Finally spoke to someone who was at least apologetic, but best he could do was give 50.00 that might show up on my debit card in 10-12 days. If not I need to call back.If I ever need to rent a moving truck or anything close I would rather pay more and be treated like I should be. They dont realize if you treat patrons bad, etc..we can do our business elsewhere and you will be in the unemployment line.

My husband and I ordered a UBOX so we can make our moving back to Florida much easier or so we thought. From the very beginning there was a lack of communication between this office their employees and their corporate office. The kid that started our order didn’t know what he was doing. We requested over and over that when our box get to Florida please make sure it gets to a location that will deliver it to our house. After my box arrived in Florida we called and they informed us their location Do Not Deliver! I called this Uhal and spoke to the manager, I told him I specifically asked and confirm that my box be delivered to a location that can deliver to my home and this did not happen. He said he will call me or my husband back. 4 days later no call back! Today we hired a company to pick up our box at the Uhal location that cannot deliver my box to my home. I gave you a 2 Stars for the shipping, your customer service DO NOT DESERVE ANY!!

My wife and I were in the process of completing a VERY frustrating move to the tricities area when we became delayed (in no part due to uhaul) - I contacted this location and the staff helped out immensely and conducted themselves courteously & professionally - there was a miscommunication at the end but the G.M. Manny stepped in immediately to resolve the issue to my satisfaction - a big thank you to both he & his staff, should we have truck rental needs in the future well definitely go to them again.

Terrible service and attitudes. We scheduled an appointment to have a hitch installed several days in advance, and when we got there we were told there was one vehicle being finished, and that it would be about 3 hours. We called to check after 3.5 hours and were told it was done. When we arrived, the vehicle was not only not done, but was not even started. When we asked what the problem was, the person working was extremely rude and was not at all apologetic. We are now having to rent a vehicle for our Fourth of July trip because we have no hitch.

Awful Service. The employees act completely clueless when they are speaking to you. They arent taught well about the services UHAUL claims to offer. UHAUL itself is a terrible company with a lot of hidden fees and manipulating contracts.This time in particular, I had called on a sunday before the month was going to end to clear out my unit. I had to work until 430 so I was going to clear it after work. The girl told me they closed at 5pm on sundays and I am not allowed 24 hour access. She was unwilling to let me just hurry in to clear it out if it took a little longer than 5pm. So I asked if I would get charged a whole month because Monday was the 1st... she said I have a 4 day grace period and i wouldnt pay if i were you since you are clearing it out anyways. So Monday comes along and i get charged an additional month. I call them and the lady says Im sorry there is nothing i can do, my employee gave you misinformation. She repeated that about 5 times before I hung up.

Weve used Uhaul before... this time was to move my sweet 94 year old mother from Kennewick to our home in the Seattle area. It took some negotiating, but they did honor our request to put new tires on the truck so they would be safe with chains in the snow storm through Snoqualmie pass. We made it home safely!

Absolutely the worst customers service ever, we where told to he refuses to help us by him at the end of it all......cant believe they leave that guy ( the store manager) like that in charge of such a nice place, next time we are using budget rental. Stay away from this place.

Took me 3 tries and 2 days to finally get someone to answer the phone. Sat on hold for 20 minutes, then finally got someone to help me out. The service seems terrible, the bill was charged wrong in the end. So sat on the phone for another 1 hour waiting for someone to help me fix the billing charge as it was approximately double what it should be. If there is another Uhaul nearby I would try them first.

Come in here occasionally for Propane and occasionally to rent a truck or trailer. Parking is often a nightmare. They have you enter and exit on the opposite sides of what you really should. There is usually only one or two people working, so inevitably I always have to wait. Boxes are priced insanely high, go get them for free from any local loading dock instead. Never seen the same employee twice.3/16/2016 - Updating this to lower the rating. I stopped in here to rent a car dolly or auto-transport trailer. The one and only employee in the building that knows how to operate a computer wasnt available for about 15 minutes. One person behind the counter didnt even respond to me when I walked up to the counter for service, after a couple minutes she said someone would be with me shortly. Another individual, who I later determined was a Uhaul employee came up to me and asked what do you want?. I thought that was another customer who wanted to start an argument or something.After 30 minutes of wasted time, they made me a reservation. After which I was told someone from their traffic department would call me back in about 30 minutes. I came in to get a trailer now, I made that clear from the beginning of the conversation, I had to specifically ask so you dont even have any? to which the answer was no, we dont. That should have been the very first thing they mentioned.They required my debit card before making a reservation. After about 45 minutes of that 30 minute waiting period for a call back, they finally called me and explained that they had none available in the entire area. I said that was fine and dandy, but looking out the window where I had pulled over to take the called, there were two uhaul car dollys and an auto transport, parked, clearly not in use. And the place a couple blocks north had about 6 of each just sitting there.I rented from Northwest Rentals for less than half the price, was in and out in less time than it took for Uhaul to ask what I wanted, and didnt have to spend 10 minutes explaining what I was hauling, from where, to where, with what, my hitch rating, the ball rating, answering the same question about my trailer wiring connectors about 3 times. Note that at no point did they even mention the ball size. When I called Northwest, he started off with 2 inch ball, almost like that was one of the most important factors. Northwest does propane as well, perhaps I will just go there for everything.

Why is zero stars not an option? I almost never write reviews about anything, but I just could not stay quiet about this experience. I apologize for the long winded nature of my review, but moving is a big deal and any other people considering using UBoxs will probably want to hear this.I reserved and confirmed my order of 4 UBoxs in mid June 2016 with a scheduled delivery date of Thursday June 30th. In the week leading up to that date I called the Pasco office and was told by the manager that we were on schedule for a noon delivery of 2 UBoxs and that he would bring the remaining 2 shortly after that. The day comes around and the Boxs dont show up on time, I wait until 2pm to make my first call and this is where the first big issue with UHaul corporate comes in. The phone number I had rings to a central server and they then pass me along to the correct office handling my order...problem is I was passed to Seattle, Wyoming, Boise, Spokane all before I was finally able to get a lady to give me the Pasco managers cell phone number. This call alone took almost an hour with hold times and being transferred so often. When I finally reach the manager he assures me that they are a little behind schedule and will bring me one box right away and another shortly after...we wait some more while we continue packing....long story short, we finally get 2 Boxs delivered at 9pm, 9hrs late. The other Boxes, I am assured will be there the following day, in fact I am told if I hurry and fully load one of them he will personally bring me a replacement in the morning and haul the full one away. We stay at it until after midnight very carefully loading one all the way full.Friday morning I text him and let him know it is full and locked and ready for him to pick up...he texts back and says he is on his way and will have another empty box there right away...I have to work the next 3 days and am not able to confirm whether he did this or not until 9pm that night. He did not deliver on this promise either as the full Box is still in my driveway, whats more is he will no longer answer his cell phone or text messages. I call/text early before work on Saturday and still have no response. I take a couple of hours during work on Saturday to start calling the corporate people again hoping to find some district/area manager that may be able to assist...to no avail, I am told I can start a formal complaint if Id like, but theres still no resolution to the missing boxes or terrible communication!The Pasco manager finally texts me Saturday evening around 5:30pm and swears he will deliver the remaining two right then...and for once he finally does. My full order was delivered 2.5 days late! I had a total of 2 days off work which I had planned on using to fully load these boxes, had I not planned enough of a time cushion we would have had to scramble and move our things into a storage unit assuming we could find one that was large enough and available.I wish I were done complaining, but there are more issues. The UBoxs themselves are nothing like the professional, clean, modern looking ones you see on the website. What showed up were rickety, poorly assembled boxes with daylight showing around the seems...we actually had to seal them ourselves before we felt confident storing our things in them...As to that formal complaint they allowed me to file. I had a very nice lady help take down a verbal complaint detailing all my issues and she assured me that once the order was complete I could call back and issue it. UHaul corporate is apparently on a 72hr response timer when this happens...again I was promised resolution within that time frame. I am finally writing this review 2+ weeks after I submitted that official complaint and have called back twice to check on its status.This is hands down the worst experiences I have ever had, and I am frankly scared to see what my possessions look like at the end of the 5 months they will be storing them for me.

I have no idea how they are the rest of the time, but we were turned away because they had overbooked- something about 400 reservations and only 175 trucks or thereabout, and it would be a few days before theyd have any free. I am sorely disappointed in Uhaul for allowing this.

Pos people left my wallet in truck came to store couldnt get them to open door they just hid inside came back next day had to force manger to look at cameras seen clear as day call the police waiting to hear from them they r thieves make sure u got every thing before dropping truck off

Company is discriminating against those whome smoke or are trying to quit. They make you agree to nicotine testing and they wont hire you if you smoke or are trying to quit. Thanks for keeping discrimination alive and well.
