I brought my electric scooter to Jose Torres the sales/service manager to get my back tire fixed. He was very professional as was all the staff that was there. After my first e-bike experience last summer, I was determined to buy one for myself. Spent the winter researching online and decided the best value - quality, service, and convenience for the price - was from Big Cat Electric, which is located just a couple miles from my home. Boom. Done. Since I picked it up, Ive been stopping by the shop periodically to ask questions, for tweaks to reduce the power a bit...this bike can go like a rocket...and add on a couple of accessories. Jose and his team are always welcoming and happy to help. Great experience.

These guys are great the Hampton they sold me has no problems but today I mentioned issues with my Ecotec and they told me to bring it in they work on all types of bikes. Manny got my bike up and running in 3 hours at a reasonable rate no one else was able to handle the issue until I got to big cat. I strongly recommend them for repair work.

I ordered 2 Fat Cat XXL (orange and green) last year. The ordering process was easy and the shipment arrived as expected. We were able to put the parts together ourselves not difficult at all only little assembly. Now that I have been riding since the weather got great like 2-3 months already I cant express how happy we are with these bikes. My husband ditched his truck and honestly we are also saving on gas a lot monthly ;) just a side note…anyway 1 full charge last about 24 miles max on max speed for me. My max speed is 27-28km/h I think the odometer reads in km/h. This is the most fun riding to and from work daily. Took me a minute to figure out the gears and also the bike is medium heavy so its for someone fit I think. Overall We love our bikes and the fun we get riding them. Highly recommend getting one from Big Cat Bikes.

Let me share something with you about my Fat Cat XL E-bike.I live in Northern Vermont, this bike has been through rain, sleet, mud, dirt, snow, rocks, and even my neighbors yard.Its powerful, fast, convenient, and is a sheer pleasure to ride.I use my Bike mostly to get to and from work, it a short little commute of about 4.8 miles. I blast through this in a few minutes, riding both on and off road as Vermont is quite rural even in its citys. Currently I am conquering ice chunks and potholes, snow banks and snowplows with ease.Its not just the bike that makes this such a great item but the service team at Big Cats is where you really win. I purchased an Ebike from EAHORA back in June and couldnt get the bike to power on. I brought the bike to BIG CAT to see if the technician, Jose could fix it. In less than an hour Jose opened the battery and found the first problem. Then he dissected the controller and with the skill of a surgeon, proceeded to examine its internal parts. After what seemed to be just a moment, he properly diagnosed, fixed and powered up the bike for the very first time. What is most surprising is the fact that BIG CAT doesnt sell the high tech EAHORA but Jose knew exactly how to repair it in such a short amount of time. 3 major issues prevented the bike from powering on and Jose nailed all 3. My fiancée surprised me with the Long Beach Cruiser 500 thin tire for our beach trip to Hilton Head Island. Tom called him personally to check and make sure the bike arrived and to see how I liked it. I love riding it and was able to ride all day around the island trails and up the steep bridges with no problem. I like how I can adjust the assist to match my work out mood.

I have been riding the neon green mini folding step thru for several days now. I love it! When I need distance and power for hills I leave all my other ebikes home and ride the Big Cat. I was in store to by something cool for my birthday this year. I stopped at Big Cats main office in Patchogue NY which is near my house. Upon entering I was greeted by two gentleman who were very helpful and knowledgeable. They walked me through the different bikes they carried and the explained the differences between them. They even let me test ride them. After I rode my first bike I was hooked! I told Jose the manager of the store what I wanted. From there he pointed me to the Mini Cat XXL. They had my color in stock and also the fenders that I wanted. Vincent, CEO of Big Cats was present and was nice enough to bring the bike to my house for me after they installed my fenders. No way I was getting it in my Avalon without taking it apart so I was overly appreciative. This bike is top notch. Has everything I was looking for, and in 5 super cold days I already put 50 miles on this bike. So much fun to ride. I have some bike trails by my house and I fly through them on my Mini Cat. Thank you guys for offering such a great product and making this the most memorable birthday for me so far!

The product is amazing! I never realized that I wanted or needed an electric bike, but now I dont know how Ive lived without one for so long. Vinny took great care to show me all of the operational details, and I was up and running...well biking...in just a few minutes.The Big Cat Biria offers the best of all worlds: Fat tires for easier handling and potential beach-biking this summer, and it folds for easier transport and storage. It can really move!! Company sells unsafe products and fails to honor return policy.

My wife and I preordered the LBC XXL last summer. We had a financial issue about a month later so we called Vincent and told him we needed to cancel our order, he promptly refunded our deposit. So this spring 2021 we decided to order again. We were told there are some coming and that they should be here about April 15-19th. So due to COVID the shutdown and ports having worker issues there was delays. No problem. We got the bikes around 15th of May. I love my LBC we were expecting to get the monster green but somehow wound up with the orange knockouts and stickers however we have fallen in love with the color. My bike is named Orange Crush!My wife had trouble with riding hers because she is 5 5in. We called Vincent he suggested another bike to swap out with no problem. He suggested we continue to use them on our vacation and when we return send it back that was the plan. But she fell in love with her bike even though she fell off mine in our front yard and bruised herself up pretty good. She is tough and got back on and kept trying to ride it. So we called back to talk to Vincent about the swap out but couldn’t reach him. Jose suggested a fix and we went with his suggestion. So far she is riding with the ability to stop and put her feet on the ground and it’s great for both of us. She is now talking smack, where before she was wanting her old bike back!The staff that Vincent has at BIG CAT BIKES are very helpful and nice to us while we were thinking maybe this was a mistake. They hung in there with to help us fall in love with our bikes. So if you are on the fence as to whether or not to buy a BIG CAT or not, I’d say do it life is too short to stress over it.

Took a test drive on Monday. Electric Bicycles are the way to go. Fast, Fun and make bicycle riding a joy. You can use it for fitness. Most bikes have 4-5 levels of pedal assist. Also you can ride it without pedaling and use the throttle. The choice is yours. Now I just have to decide with model I want.Nice people and they know their stuff.

This is the best electric bike I have 4200 miles on my bike and I haven’t had to replace anything except for a couple of tires and I’m ready for my next bike everybody in town loves my bike I’ve been riding it for three or four years now

Coolest bike EVER!! So I got my Fat Cat eBike yesterday. It was pretty easy to assemble and so much fun to ride. The bike is so solid, you can tell how well made it is immediately. I havent ridden a bike in over 15 years but like they say you never forget right. This bike can be ridden like a normal bike, where you pedal and do all the work. It has 7 speeds that adjust with a click of your thumb. The real fun starts when you turn on the electric motor though. There are 5 pedal assist settings. Each setting allows you to go faster or gives you more assistance in climbing hills. Theres also a throttle and if you want to, you can just hit the gas and go 20mph without pedaling.I cannot stress how great this bike is. At my age I did not expect to ever ride a bike again, let alone LOVE one. I love this bike and highly recommend it. I actually plan to purchase another as a gift for one of my adult sons for his commute to work and trying to convince my wife that she should have one so we could go on long rides together. (I forgot to mention mine has the 500W electric motor which is more power than Ill ever use (I dont go above pedal assist 3) and I can ride about 30 miles between charges.About the only negative that I can come up with is that about a week after I purchased my bike at full price ($1,995) they dropped their prices, but even at full price this is a bargain.

I have found that they stand behind their product and do everything reasonably possible to be sure you are satisfied. They are shipped almost whole and I felt easy to put together. My wife and I bought 2 Big Cat foldin skinny tire e-bikes from Vincent at Big Cat. We brought them to Lake George to use while we were vacationing there. The bikes were a pleasure to ride. We got a lot of compliments from people who saw us with the bikes. One day we rode a trail that goes from the bottom of lake George at Million Dollar Beach all the way to Glens Falls. The trail is about 15 miles each way and can be hilly as the trail goes through the woods mostly. Although we did pedal a bit, we also just used the throttle for a lot of the ride. The battery only use 25% of its charge. I would highly recommend these bikes and Big Cat!

This is one of the few awesome life-changers that came during COVID. We found Big Cat, and bought 2 e-bikes that our whole family loves!!! I have owned a fat cat 500 xl for 3 years and I use it to commute to fireisland. For those who are not familiar with it it is a barrier island that is only accessible by bike or walking from the mainland. The road going in is mainly sand so 3 years ago I purchased my bike. I am a construction contractor on the island and due to the federal regulations, I cannot drive my truck to the island until the fall....the bike is a game changer for me and many others who have purchased big cat bikes ! These are the most reliable and well built e-bikes on the market! The service department is second to none. They have been absolutely awesome when i broke my bike( my fault by the way). The owner of the business is a great person! and he will work with you on any problems you experience and do whatever he can to help in any way he can. I just purchased my second e-bike from big cat and cant wait for delivery!

Terrible experience. my bike had 23 miles on it and the controller went bad... no big deal i called big cat and they gave me the run around... left a poor review and they called me said they would send a new controller... its been almost 2 whole years still never received it... if you want good ebikes and good customer service go to Luna... there is NO bulls*** at luna like there is a big cat. these guys are a joke. worst experience i ever had. hope they go bankrupt.

Big Cats told me that they make everything right. Ha ! They begged to update my prior revuew after they made things right.Sent a basket that does not fit the bike. Worthless !Sent fenders. Only the front fender fits. Rear does not.Sent pannier rack - that fits.Their problem is that they never open a bike box that comes in from China to actually try to fit accessories to the bike. They will talk your ear off. Promises made. Impossible to keep.Read all of the reviews. If you cannot see the bike, touch the bike, ride the bike and see all of the accessories then leave it alone and go somewhere else.

Bought two fat tire Big Cat bikes. The beach cruiser for me and the mountain bike for hubby (because he would be dead before he rode a bike with a basket....lol). He put together the bikes in about 1.5 hrs each. We watched a lot of YouTube videos to learn about the features (like the push assist) and we love the bikes! We have a weekend home in Cocoa Beach and I love to get up early and ride the beach for miles. I can navigate cautiously through the deeper sand until I reach the flat water line and its a blast.

I drove out from Woodbury to big cat bikes. The service is great and the bike is amazing. They delivered the bike right to the house. Bought a Big Cat electric bike from Khans, a bike shop in East Hampton, NY. We love the bike! My daughter and her cousin lost the keys (warning - guard those keys carefully!). Turns out that if you lose the keys the cylinder needs to be replaced so that a new key can be issued. Took the bike to Big Cat Electric Bikes in Patchogue (the original source of the bike). They are great - Vincent Gabbia and Jose could not have been more helpful. In addition to getting the cylinder replaced (new keys!) they tuned up the bike, adjusted the brakes and showed us its electric headlamp feature which we had not seen. Since buying the Big Cat weve had a chance to ride a Sondors ebike. The Big Cat is so much better - more manoevrable and easier to ride. Highly recommend these guys.

Wanted to write an awesome review of everything I have experienced so far.The bike is awesome. I got the big cat Rocky and it really is sick. I showed 2 friends, let them ride it, and both texted me the next day telling me they want to get one. I try to ride it every night since I have owned it and I’m really impressed with all the durability and speed. You can be out like that in pavement or cruise along on some grass paths.The service is great. I’m probably a bit of a pain in general l, and with this purchase because it was a decent price, I was particular to make sure it’s perfect out the box. They answer every call and meet it with a smile and professionalism every step of the way. Vinny and Jose make a great team! They called me back in Friday at 9pm.If you are thinking about buying an ebike or just doing research, I’m telling you as a 40 year old this is the most fun you will have each day.Go see Vinny and jose. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. In 2015, I invested in an electric bike through this company. The bike gave me several issues with the frame bending but it was still rideable until the controller went out in 2017. I had bought into the warranty. I requested a new controller which came in the mail. However, the connections didnt match up. Due to poor oversight, the manufacturing for that piece was lost with the 8 other variations of the same part. There was no way for me to replace that piece. Now my bike was 60 pounds of dead weight. I called, talked to several individuals and all that could be offered was a discount on my next purchase. My initial $1500 was wasted. If you value your money, dont buy in to this company. What a RIP off.

My boyfriend just surprised me with my big cat mini cat! I absolutely fell in love with it! Super fun to ride and its really fast! Its very comfortable too! He recently had bought himself a super 73 electric bike, be prefers my bike instead lol. Since mine has the assist screen and the battery lasts a lot more then his does.My big cat is faster ! So, I bought a used bike from Craigslist and unfortunately, the battery was on its last leg. I ordered a new battery online, but because my model bike was over 5 years old, the new batteries just dont fit easily. I brought the bike into the shop and they fixed it while I waited. They really care about their bikes. I will say, these bikes really move. I love how easy it makes commuting.

The bikes are good I have had mine for almost a year with over 900 miles. Customer service however is poor! Sent battery back to be repaired. They had it for several months and when I finally got it back it was not fixed.

DO NOT BUY!! I wish I could give ZERO stars. I regret my purchase and I hope this review prevents others from encountering a similar situation.I received a non-operational bike in July. It’s now November (4 months later) and I’m still missing bolts and the gears don’t function properly. I’ve sent 10 emails and had 8 phone calls with Sales, Parts, and Service, etc. and all promises continue to go unfulfilled. All I want is what I paid for and what I was promised. Now that it’s winter, I paid $1,500 for an unusable bike to occupy garage space, consume time, and constantly disappoint/frustrate me…not to mention that I lost out on riding it all summer. Many of my friends and neighbors were dying to try it out but after several months theyve all given up. Company will not warranty their bikes and will not respond to e-mails or phone. If your bike works... it is ok ride. If not, you will need to fix it yourself - which in my case is going to cost $400 to replace the defective battery.July 2020 (update) - Ive had the bike for about 18 months now. The battery fiasco cost me around $300 from seller on e-bay. Within 2 weeks of replacement the motor went out (no point going to BigCat as they didnt answer the phone for battery and by then it was out of warranty (note I had only ridden the bike about 10 times successfully by then after 6 months of owning the bike)).There is nothing standard on e-bikes, and to get a replacement motor I had to tear down the back wheel to get to the motor to try to find out who the manufacture was. There was an obscure number (no manufacturer indicated) which I eventually tracked down after many hours of searching to a company in China via Alibaba ($250). So, after another 2 months, I got a motor, but this one required a freewheel. But, I connected the motor and it worked.Then I purchased bike tools and a freewheel cassette from Amazon (another $35) and got the back wheel all together again about 1 week later.So... after 8.5 months of fighting the battle and $585 on top of the cost of the bike, it worked and has been good ever since.

Bike might be nice but service or parts are out of the question,so basically it’s a $2000.00 disposable bike once some thing fails.very disappointed...........Gave them all the time they asked for,after being hung up on twice I’m sure I’m being jerked off. Company sucks as much as the Chinese components they use and can’t replace.DO NOT BUY A BIKE FROM BIG CAT.Waste of $2k

Emails not returned. Phone calls not returned. Web-site contact forms not returned. Tom Stiso sorry no-one got back to you, call me directly, in future. Service phone number unanswered. Had to go through Sales option on the switchboard. Vincent recommended to call a friend of mine, Mike, he may be able to help, but it would be out of warranty.

To anyone who is thinking of making a purchase here, DONT DO IT. It hasn’t now been over six months since I’ve paid over $2000 for a bike with a few accessories, not only have I not received any of the things I’ve purchased, but the customer service is absolutely horrible. I think they are straight up scam artists at this point. I advise anyone to check the “not recommended reviews” on yelp, as well as other reviews around the Internet, you will find that this company is a scam. They intentionally lead you on for 90 days with “shipping issues from China” so that you have a hard time doing a chargeback with your credit card because three months have passed. It’s a scam to keep your money and not ship you the products. DO NOT BE NICE, DO NOT USE THEM. If by chance you already have, DO NOT WAIT LONG TO GET A FULL REFUND OR CHAREBACK FROM YOUR CARD ISSUER when they call you and say “your items will ship soon, we had some issues, we are sorry,” that’s only a scam to let 90 days pass so they don’t have to refund you.

Ripoff since I want write a true review on electronic bike I wanted to make you aware of my experience with the Fat Cat 500 Watt platform. I paid $1800.00 for it then proceeded to pour another $1200.00 into it over the last year and one half. This is a rip off now that I am out of warranty the distributor tells me I need to spend another $300.00 on a motor. This is insane and if the company does not cover their poor design. I plan on making my experience known to my over 10,000 followers on social media and maybe even starting a website Fat Cats are a rip off do not waste your money. Buyer Beware- Santos & Big Cat Bikes are scammers, Dont be deceived by the fancy colors and a good looking bike that will not even last for a year. Their electric bikes are not water resistant to rain and snow and once the water gets inside the electric components its all over and your screwed. You will spend months, and years and long hours fighting with this company big cat for service and to get replacement parts that need to be shipped from china and Velocare will screw you on the 3yr warranty and you will have to pay out of pocket to repair the bike yourself and you will lose all the money you spent on the bike. This company and Santos had the nerve to threatened me and my family on the phone and via emails for making complaints to the attorney general. TOTAL BIG FAT CAT JERKS.

I bought a groupon for a bike rental and when I called for information about it, they said they dont do that anymore. Meanwhile the service is still on Groupon when I checked later and not only that, but it was $10.00 more. They are obviously scammers!!! Dont buy it!!!!!
