Terrible service. Very very expensive to just watch TV and have internet. So glad to get rid of them . Never gave me credit for all the outages and problems with the cable going out for days
Unfortunately I have to give optimum 3 stars, because if poor management..The storm last night blew out my cable box, and, if they mail it to you, it takes 7 to 9 days!! Yikes!! So, I went to the Optimum store in Paterson, and found a long line outside, which I waited in for 40 minutes, in the sun!! But,the real issue was they only had two ladies working/helping customers inside.... They were very nice,and, this is nothing against them! but shame on Optimum!! Why didnt they have at least a 3rd associate?? (There was one that would sanitized in between each customer, but, they needed another actual worker). Once inside, I waited another 25 mins for my turn .. Im a senior citizen and standing for that length of time is bad enough; but, outside in the sun was brutal!! The lady that took care of me was wonderful!! I couldnt catch her name on her badge, cuz it was turned around to the back. . but, she was very nice, very helpful!!
HORRIBLE. I STOOD IN THE LINE OUTSIDE MIND YOU FOR AND HOUR AND A HALF FOR THE EMPLOYEE TO COME OUTSIDE TO SAY WE CLOSING WITH NO SERVICE RENDERED CALLED OPTIMUM TO COMPLAIN TO FIND OUT THEY DONT HAVE NOWHERE FOR YOU TO COMPLAIN IM DECIDED TO CHANGE COMPANYS. OPTIMUM IS HORRIBLE ON ALL ENDS
I went there today with my husband, but the employee told us that only one person is allowed inside and I can wait outside the door until my husband finished, I patiently waited outside then 1 of the employee went outside and ask me what I’m doing there, I told her I’m waiting for my husband which was inside and told her that her co worker told me that I can stay outside the door, I was alone outside and ask her if I can stay inside the building because rain is pouring outside and I don’t want to get sick but she told me she don’t care and she want me out of the building... she is so rude and I don’t deserve to be treated like that after using optimum for years and years ...am happy now that I moved to another company
Optimum across the board has very poor communication skills. If there was another choice with comparable services I would have left them years ago.The canned answer you gave is an insult to our intelligence especially since you dont mean a word of it.
Got here before 5 pm and stood online for 10 mins and they refused to take me ! And advised me that there was no supervisor working at that moment. Terrible customer service every time!

I had an altice mini at home its was not working so I went to optimum and they give me apple tv there. You keep the apple tv and stream anything on it.

I was waiting on line outside and the rep comes out calls me in, she continues to look outside and brings in a Senior so I stated Im a Senior so she ask my age so I said 64, she said I mean 70 and up. Lets get it together Seniors 62 and up. Do your research somIt wont be taken as discrimination.

The way this company cares about their customers is inhumane. It is unexceptionable to keep people outside for more than 40 minutes in the heat of the sun. No canopy is provided, they are short of staff, and meanwhile you have to wait knowing your car is at a timed parking spot. 3 staff here and only 2 are actually working. piss poor place
Was on line for over 45 minutes outside. Just to pay a bill. Optimum needs to do better. By far the worse experience I ever had. Funny that I cant reach anyone through the Automated system, but Optimum calls me numerous times during the week. Trying to sell me on other services. Customer should have an option to speak to an Human being to resolve any issues a customer might have. Too many times Ive dealt with the Automated system and never recieved a call back etc.... we are in an Pandemic, customers have no other choice but to drive to this location and wait for over 45 minutes to resolve an issue which probably take 10 minutes over the Phone.

Here is the thing I wanted to give its zero stars because it does not deserve one star Optimum sucks to the upmost charging all that money for no service constantly updating and you cant even reach them on the weekend everyone should cancel the service and go to Verizon
I once went to cable to buy 2 cable boxes and 2 Optimum remote controls with AA batteries, just like old times, and nowadays, I can buy an Altice One cable box and a remote control with AAA bateries.
Going to the optimum drop off office in Paterson makes a trip to the DMV seem pleasurable. This place is horrible. The wait time is over 40 minutes, it’s disorganized, and has Horrible customer service.

Their customer service was good but what I dont like about Optimum is that if you disconnect they dont prorate your bill. They charge you the whole month.
I went to return some equipment for a family member. Be sure you wear gloves and a mask! They also have random temperature checks with a handheld scanner. I only took off 1 Star due to the lack of parking. I went with my sister so I wouldn’t have to pay a parking place.
The customer service at Optimum was quite good. They kept the line moving and I didnt have a long wait. I was able to swap a malfunctioning box with no problem at all. I especially liked the receipt sent to my email account. Well done.

I got installed oct 21 but didnt have cable until nov 17 thay still want me to pay oct and nov and dec is not here yet and charge me for dec all ready thay clame its all ways a month in avance. Not pay. Nothing until i get this fix. 189 alone for internet
I order service on border of paterson/Wayne they came out the same week to get me hook up. One week later when it not working right they claim it covid infected area and cant come to fix problem. which area in NJ is is exclusively the covid infected area? yet they have install new people here since I move here. This is redlining and discrimination! Theyre not doing this in other towns.

The Paterson location sucks! Long lines and the employees are very slow in taking care of one customer. They must be happy that they get pay hourly because if it was per customer they be broke.
So easy returning our cable boxes. Nice employees. Empty when we went. The no parking aspect is the biggest negative.

Cramped, long lines, and short staffed. Frustrated that I had to go there to resolve something that honestly shouldve been resolved over the phone / email. (They insisted the equipment I bought was rented, demanding that I return it since I cancelled my service. YOU NEED GLOVES AND MASKS FOR THEM TO SERVICE YOU!!!! So keep that in mind. Returning some cable boxes here. Couldn’t find the address so in my iPhone gps I put market street and Clark street since the building is on that corner. Paid parking lots are around but I found street metered parking. Long wait in the sun, no shade. It sucked but atleast I don’t have to pay cable anymore.

Was very impressed by the quick service, short line and knowledge of the agent that helped us. Robin was very helpful and I was able to switch phone carriers to Altice mobile in under an hour.
Stopped receiving almost all channels. They told me to replace my cable card which I did. Still failed after several hours on with optimum, they told me I need another cable card. Went to get one, went to 3 locations nobody had them. Finally they said I need a technician sent, he told me within 1 minute cable cards are no longer supported in my area. Now trying to get credit for my lost service and shut off TV and phone service is useless they tell me I need to do that in a optimum store. Frustration!
Very busy, but great customer service! At least 30 mintues wait. Parking its a little difficult to find.

The techs are never on the scheduled time. They show up when they want too. Customer service reps are extremely lost and not able to help you in any way. You will be waiting on the phone and be passed back and forth between reps. It is a hassle and it’s very frustrating. Save your time and money. Not worth the time. Also, very unprofessional.

Their Supervisor and Managers are definitely not entuned to a Corporate Structure, a Public traded company.3. Refuses to admit to their faults, faulty equipment, and defective devices.

I wish they would have negative markings here.Horrible customer service online and offline both. Had called three times and they would not tell you the truth that there no pro-rate and would ask to you read the contract signed 4 years back. When asked will there be any extra charge would not give you any answer but later find out that you get charged for the whole billing cycle. At the end the manager from customer service named Adrian called me back but he was no where close to helping me out. I had already moved out of that place, so for month and half there was nobody using the internet.I had to call them ever month because of the issues and terrible internet services they provided. But you still pay the full price for it.
