I’ve been to him for little things like taking out watch links or changing watch batteries-I always look around while I wait but know I could never afford anything. For a couple of years I was watching a specific one of a kind necklace Brian made and one day a few months ago was talking to Lauren (the very knowledgeable woman who works there) about how I love the necklace but can’t afford it. She took it and walked out back to where Brian was fixing my watch and came out quoting me a price half of the original-I could not believe it and bought it on the spot! You’ll probably still want to get a second quote, but honesty, there’s really no need to.While I was there, I decided to have a ring resized and I wanted 2 small diamonds added to the ring. Brian did not try to sell me the most expensive diamonds, etc. He explained to me that given the size of the ring and insert for the diamonds, he recommended diamonds that would still sparkle but didn’t have to be the most expensive. Did you know that some diamonds are fluorescent and that’s why they have that fake sparkle? Brian can show you under a blue light that the diamonds he sells are not fluorescent.They specialize in wedding rings and bands. I have a collection of charms bracelets that I inherited from my grandmother as a young girl. Since she passed away, I have added charms to the bracelet (and subsequently more bracelets) every time I traveled somewhere new, like she had. When we came to Rhode Island to meet my boyfriends family, we looked everywhere to find a small, traditional silver charm that represented the state. We didnt have any luck. Finally, I just Google-searched for charms. And New England Gold and Silver came up. Through the text feature on their website, I was able to speak with someone who was able to send me photos on charms they could order, and since we were leaving the next day, ship it to me in North Carolina. My charm arrived today, and it is perfect! Their recommendation was spot-on, and it arrived at my door just a couple of days later they said they would receive it. What an amazing experience I had here. I went in with very little idea of what I wanted to do but I knew I wanted my grandmothers diamonds incorporated into my ring. While I was waiting to meet with Brian (the owner) to take a look at my rings, Laurel (the sales associate) showed me some of the other things in the cases. I was looking for a local jeweler I could trust resizing rings that have been in my family for generations. The owner and the staff are friendly, extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. The work they have done on my jewelry is impeccable, was done at a very reasonable price and in a timely fashion. Would definitely recommend. Absolutely loved this place!!! Brian the owner was very helpful and the process was ridiculously easy. I had a tough time serching for a wedding band for months. The selection available for men was probably 3x more than any other jewelry place I visited in the last two months. They were able to also customize my ring at no charge at all. I dont normally write reviews, but I was blown away by the excellent customer service I received recently at New England Gold and Silver in Pawtucket, RI. I was willed an antique diamond ring from my aunt a couple of years ago; being that I am single I have not had use for it. I hear an advertisement recently about New England Gold and Silver purchasing jewelry, I was greeted by the cheerful staff. I was offered a water or coffee and a comfortable chair to sit in. the owner came out promptly looked me in the eyes and shook my hand while introducing himself making me more comfortable. He gave me excellent advise in regards to my ring, and really made me feel like he was giving me an honest and legitimate opinion. Instead of him purchasing the ring he advised that I have it cleaned up and hold on to it. He cleaned and checked it for me at no charge. . They have earned a lifetime customer.

I was blown away by the selection, knowledge and customer experience from both Brian and Laurel. This place is top notch. I went in to browse and wound up buying an updated brand new Wedding/Engagement ring for my wife of 25 years. My wife was flabbergasted and absolutely LOVED the ring. In addtion to the ring, Brian gave me a certificate to get a FREE dozen long stem roses. He went over and beyond on the entire customer experience. Its a very friendly atmosphere, great selection and great people. This will be my only jeweler going foward. I would HIGHLY recommend visiting them for all of your jewelry needs but especially for diamond engagement rings.

I got a hand full of things from New England Gold and Silver Jewelers. Out of all the things I got there was 1 issue with getting what I bought. I ended up talking with them several times both on the phone and in person. In the end, we were able to resolve the situation. Looking back at it, having issues is not fun. However, people are not perfect and this could happen at any jeweler. What really matters it how well the jeweler handles the situation when things dont go as planned. I can say from experience that they did a wonderful job resolving the situation. It was an incovenience, yes, but through all the interaction, I was treated with kindness and respect. Never once, did they act in a manner that I disapproved of. People say trust is something that must be earned. New England Gold and Silver Jewelers earned my trust.
