Good service and prices
Legacy homes themselves are very low rent. If it wasnt for the staff and manager at RD Homes, I dont believe this post would be possible. The salesman and manager went above and beyond shoring up my home and doing the typical walk through to repair or reinforce my home once I was settled in (the type of youd get if one bought a site built home). These guys dont make the home, so I know they arent responsible for the quality, but they do all they can to make sure to correct what is in their power to do. FYI... Amaizing service!
The staff at Repo Depot/RD Homes in Pearland, Texas, is very friendly upon approaching their customers, why wouldnt they be? Buyer beware though...look deep into that friendliness. Do not be taken by it. I bought a home last summer and I have been angry for MONTHS because of the dealings with Repo Depot, Legacy Homes and even the State of Texas. Do your homework, look at other options before going to Repo Depot. And, IF you do choose to purchase a home there, make sure you order it with everything they promise you or you will get ripped off and end up with a cheap made home that you will have issues with from the get go. Look for plastic faucets, plastic toilet seats, etc. (they will fall off in way less than a year). You will ONLY have a one year warranty, and then they will say they cant fix things because they have broken because of normal wear and tear. The carpet in the homes on lot are cheap. The walls in the homes on lot are thin and I doubt they are insulated beyond the bare minimum requirement. Do your homework, do NOT let them hurry you into buying or you will regret it greatly.Had I not been referred to them by a friend, who also after the fact, realized she got shafted on her home, I would NEVER have purchased a home from Repo Depot. A young couple that I know also had several issues with them. I would recommend Oak Creek on 45 in Houston, or Clayton Homes on Hwy 288 if you are going to purchase a mobile home locally. Also, Solitaire homes are built much better than the ones on the lot at Repo Depot/RD Homes. Most importantly order your home the way you want it, dont get ripped off with a cheap made home on the lot of a mobile home dealer...they are not worth half what they ask for them.
Bought a legacy mobile home. A piece of siding blew off on delivery. siding was put back on but, it had an internal damage that was not fixed .needed some repairs done inside and were never properly fixed. Legacy mobile homes are not built right, had problems and were not fixed. Like bathtubs not draining properly. And now I have a leak on the front door frame. I wouldnt buy here again.
My home is only 3 years old. Bought it new and it had problems from day 1. I for one will never do business with this place ever again.
