Good selection, very helpful employees, efficient low contact check out process

Grew up in Champaign area with a great Menards to go to.. Moved near Pekin a few years ago and EVERY TIME Ive gone there, every facet of that store has been very bottom-barrel. Dirty, Inept Staff, Employees love to talk than work when it comes to buying your stuff and leaving in a timely manner. Im not going back there again.

Store was clean and service is always great. Actually had a man named Alex approach us in the paint department and he was very helpful and asked us if we needed any help with anything. Today we took advantage of the 11% rebate and got some new doors for the house.

They have a lot of my money I have a 1906 house it needed a lot of help when I got it if your doing it yourself they have some good people to help you with what you need

They have their second electric cart fixed so you stand a better chance of getting one if you need one. I tried the curbside pick up around the back of the store after ordering on line.SWEET!! I will do this again for the 4 gallon jugs of water and 40 pound boxes of cat litter and 30 pound bags of cat food. They put it in the car, and son takes it out when I get home.

Always find what Im looking for! Well except this one time I needed a popcorn machine light bulb 💡😅 . Heads up they dont have those!

Usually, I can find help but most of the time, they will help you but dont know too much about the product. They know where things are but if your not too familiar with what your trying to do you dont know what to get. I normally go to Ace Hardware for info..

Lose of power. Took 45 minutes to check out. Changing cash registers to the only one working we lost our roll of painters tape .outside of that it was fine

Usually have had good help here, but today my wife and I waited over half an hour at the paint counter. The guy working took a phone call, eventually disappearing all together. He knew we were there waiting, but never acknowledged us, or got someone else to check us out. Wasted a lot of time, and wont be coming back.

I want to thank Ryan the store manager at Pekins store. We had purchased a water heater 7 months ago and it quit working. Evidently the gas valve was faulty. Ryan went the extra mile to get us a technician that worked on the brand we had. Within the hour we had a technician at our home and he replaced the part that took 10 minutes. Thank you again Ryan!

Great. Gentleman I spoke with was able too lead me directly to an better alternative the parts I needed.They were diligent in cleaning service area per customer. All in all my shopping experience at Menards is usually one of my better experiences!

Store is old format very hard to find items. Isle signs were not very helpful. Had to ask staff for location of all of the items needed. The new format rocks locations are the same in all the other ones I go to regularly. This one needs to be fixed.

As always, Menards offers a broad spectrum of products which makes shopping there both productive and enjoyable. Using rebates and the friendly, helpful employees keeps me returning!

They have about everything you need but dont expect to see a friendly person, theyre rare at Menards. The 11% rebate you have to spend at the store too. Not my store of choice.

Good products at good prices. Friendly help. There are a few tools that are not built so well. Other than that, good place to buy what you need.

Wood paneling materials ordered online look nothing like what was delivered. After speaking with 2 employees and 2 managers, I am still being charged a 25% restocking fee.Due to the complete incompetence from your staff and false advertising on your site, I will be taking my business and my companys business to Home Depot from now on and will encourage all friends and family to do the same. Congratulations on ripping me off $400, it has now cost your company $15k-$30k annually in sales.

One of the employees wasnt very helpful when it came to finding Propane & map gas tanks for blow torches it took 4 times to explain what i wanted n still not sure they understood it given she was a younger lady but they need to train employees better

Very helpful employees. A good experience

The experience was fine until time to check out. Extremely rude cashier. None of my purchases were able to fit a bag, all had to be put back into the cart. Rather than roll the cart to me, she just stood there and looked at me. When she realized I was waiting for my cart, she raised her foot and shoved it towards me.

If I could give zero stars I would I pointed out to a manager a large tool box that seemed to be out of place and full.. He proceeded to tell me it was a maintenance box then followed me through the store until I made m my purchase and left

I went into Menards in Pekin to look for a washer and dryer. Cannot say enough good things about the service I received from Daylynn. She was extremely helpful and most pleasant to work with. Outstanding customer service and she needs to be recognized. Thank you Daylynn for making it such a pleasure to shop there.

We had to do a supply run on a Saturday morning. They had everything we needed. We didnt have to wait in line at the checkout. We even found a couple really cheap clearance items.

Well your lumber yard is the most unorganized place Ive ever seen. Got there about 11 oclock in the morning and made it to the yard by 1130 finally got out of there around 1225 for 4 corner pieces and 24 sheets on siding which I shouldnt have to check each piece to make sure thats it in the correct spot. To get to guard shack to get told that we have the wrong stuff and asked if we were going to back inside to correct it if we wanted to keep it. Went back to get the correct stuff only to have your guys go through I dont know how many pieces to get 24 sheets of the correct stuff. You guys either need to get help or get it together this has been going on for way to long and will say thats why I usually go to lowes. I dont expect a reply.

Ordered online for store pick up. I was notified my order was ready for pick up. When I arrived I drove around back where they customer pickup area was located and they brought my items out and helped me load them.

They need to have more then 1 truck to rent at a time. You shouldn’t have to wait 4 hours to rent a truck. You would think with how much money they make, they can afford to buy a few more trucks. I will take my business elsewhere.

Good service and decent inventory but not as much as other, larger stores.

Bought tree steps from Menards and on my first hunt this year the step snapped in two. Thank god it was the first step and the fall didn’t hurt much, but if this had been the top step I could be dead. SKU 1758757 is rated for 300 lbs, but I’m a 200lb man and it broke like a twig. Must be cheap metal. No one should buy these things and risk a fall.

Im impressed with the way things are being handled in regards to the covid-19 virus. most of the employees are helpful and pleasant. selection is a little spotty, depending on what you are looking for. wipes are provided to clean your cart.

Hard to get help looking for the product I needed the employees walk the other way and I had to go looking for somebody to help me

I used to prefer this Menards to any other home improvement store in the area. I came in one night recently, I needed a 2.50 bottle of cleaner for my sons school supply list, they are literally the only store that had them. So after spending 45 minutes in the store, trying to find this product, they guy that helped us went to the backroom where the system said they have 9 that came in on a truck this morning at 7a.m. well after this guy goes to look he comes back 25 minutes later and tells me that they found them but they cant get them out tonight. Keep in mind that its still 4 hours before they close. But I can come back at 9 a.m. and they will be on the shelf....like are you really that lazy you cant grab one bottle out of one box. Well, thats cool I guess I will just take my business to another store from now on, I guess i will be too lazy to drive 20 minutes outta my way to shop at your store instead of the lowes 5 minutes from my house. Thats ok Im still going to get my products needed and you will lose at least one customer. Absolutely unacceptable...

Hate the mail in rebates. Would rather pay discounted price at store.

Couldnt order half the stuff we wanted for curbside delivery it was stuff only available in the store.... Show up and have to check in at the yard gate then we have to go stand inside the door while the three employees at the counter have a term minute conversation about their afterwork plans before finally asking us if we have been helped. They finally bring up our order in a pallet and stop at the door. I ask if they can take the order outside... No they cant take the forklift outside... No boxes bags nothing just a whole bunch of loose stuff.. To carry out to the car myself. And then to checking at the gate again. How is this curbside business if I have to go in the store and carry out all the stuff myself and deal with 6 employees along the way? And there is a processing fee for this service? How is this a convenience?

Trying to buy a dishwasher. But not installing at this time. But no sign or anything stating not installing . Sorry menards lost sale!!

I would rate lower if possible. The rebate does not really exist. Ive been waiting for weeks for over $200.00 in rebates. Store mangement basically said not their problem. Another co takes care of rebates. Big waste of time along with a big rip off.(¡‽

The first 3 employees I passed were not wearing mask. Employees were wearing mask if you want to call using them as turtlenecks. They were not forcing people to wear a mask. Many had their nose exposed And as soon as they got away from the front desk down the mask went. I’m going to travel the extra 10 minutes to Lowe’s. I know they I have employees that do the same thing but I’ve never felt threatened healthwise going into the place. I even saw Menards employees bring the carts in off of the parking lot without cleaning them. I get upset with Lowe’s at times. Not everyone has grandparents still alive but please wear your mask thank you.

Customer service was very good. Pleasantly surprised

They will not let you in without a mask. They do not care if you have a medical condition for not being able to wear a mask. Ok no problem I can order online and do curbside pick-up so I do not have to enter the store. Wrong again! They charge you to pick your order, not everything I needed was able to be picked and you have enter the store to pick it up anyways. The times I have been in the store the cashiers were like we were bothering them because they were at work. If you are going to in force a mask policy then you need to offer more customer friendly options for those who cannot wear a mask. I will take my business elsewhere!
