My wife and I just moved to Pella, Iowa. I own an older, but well taken care of Jeep. I have always believed that supporting local dealerships, is the right thing to do when moving to a new town. Therefore, I called Pella Motors and made a maintenance appointment potentially valued at a $2-3K of work. A friendly conversation that entailed the importance of my bringing my vehicle into the service area as early as possible in a few days. As requested, I do so and I bring a detailed list of the work to be accomplished and leave my Jeep. I expressed how important my vehicle is to me, and that I was looking forward to having an extensive maintenance issues addressed by them. Three days later (with an entire weekend excluded), due to having receiving some additional parts, I took them in to add to my list of work and to check to see if they had just looked (not worked on it) at my vehicle because parts needed to be ordered. They relayed that they had not had time. I was cordial, but keep in mind, it was very important that I get my vehicle in the shop three days earlier. Having this discussion, was my warning shot with the idea that I would give them an additional day after this conversation, to just inspect it for the future work to be performed. As suspected, at the end of the fourth day, I went in and once again, no inspection. Therefore, I requested the return of my car key and parts, never to return for any service in any time in the future. No attempt was made to rectify the situation on their part. Simply, put I felt that they had profiled me as a simpleton and low-life because my vehicle is older and since I am a humble and down-to-earth person, I would accept their unreasonable approach to my vehicle. Interestingly and I am fortunate in regards to my ability to pay cash for any new vehicle at any time. I was actually considering purchasing a custom built C8 corvette. As can be imagined, I am intending to purchase one in the near future, but no longer at this dealership. I learned something today which is that while one might have respect for local dealers or business, they may not reciprocate that loyalty to you. This is certainly the case with dealing with this dealership. Unfortunate, but there are many other dealerships who will treat me with respect. For my families vehicle repairs and purchases, Pella Motors are dead to me.

We experienced 0 of the 3 CORE VALUES.Took my first time car buying teenage daughter here after she found something they had listed.They did a wonderful job of teaching her the things that I warned her to expect from a less reputable dealer.The lessons she learned:1. Caveat Emptor2. The dealer knows more than you and will use that to take advantage of you. No matter what they say.3. As is means As is, is yours now. And if you have any questions or want to understand something see #1, #2 and #4.4. If you are not buying do not bother me. We made the deal. If you have any questions see #1, #2, and #3 above.Not sure if she was treated like this because she is a teenager, a woman, not spending $20,000, an easy target, they treat everyone like this or why.We tried to work with them for a better solution and were ghosted after the second phone call.My bad for letting my guard down and taking her here to be taught some hard and expensive lessons. Be aware so it does not happen to you.

I bought a 2020 Impala yesterday from Pella Motors, and I cannot say enough good things about them! It was by far the best buying experience I’ve ever had! Blane was my salesman, and I felt he gave me a good deal and made the buying process simple and easy. I was so impressed from the moment we started talking and negotiating that my husband and I drove 3 1/2 hours from Missouri to buy the car. I love that he didn’t try to show me invoice numbers for what they paid for the car. I hate that tactic! Because I feel (and this is just my opinion) the numbers on that invoice aren’t truthful and it’s just a strategy to try to lessen a buyer’s negotiation power. The finance guy also got me an excellent interest rate! I was just so impressed with the whole process! It was so stress-free and who wouldn’t want less stress when buying a car?!?! Also, I am the type of customer that if you treat me good... I will become a loyal customer. I will definitely be buying another car or truck from Pella Motors in the future!

Took my car in to get diagnosed for a tapping sound in my engine they diagnosed it to be the turbo failing and confirmed it with the extended warranty adjuster. they went ahead and replaced the turbo and gave the car back to me with it still making the same sound that it was before. On top of it still making the same sound as when I brought it in they overfilled my coolant reservoir tank and left the cap off so I drove home with no cap on my tanks. when I got home there was coolant all over my engine bay and underneath the engine was dripping in coolant. I brought the car back in to get re-diagnosed and I get a call later that day saying to just come get my car basically they gave up on my car. I would not recommend getting any kind of service work done here.

I let my extended warranty company know of this issue and they said to never bring the car back there. I would not recommend getting any kind of service work done at this stealership.

The process took too long. The finance guy told me to come back at 3. When I got there he then said he did not have time. I said you told me to come at 3. He then said he did not say that. I felt like he was calling me a liar. I about got up and walked out. While negotiating the price with my sales person he told me the internet price is as low as you can go because we loose money in that deal. We sell the car below the price we pay for it. I looked at him and said that is not true or you would not be in business. He the. Said oh well we get rebates back from GM. I just did not feel like it was a truthful place to be by more than one person. I left extremely frustrated.

I use Pella Motors all the time. They are very organized and the place is clean. They sell cars, trucks, etc but have a fantastic service shop that is above average. They drop me off at work and pick me up. I also get a discount for being a hospital employee in town.

We were looking for a family car from a family business and were very pleased with our experience with Pella Motors.We experienced an issue immediately after purchasing the vehicle, but they worked with us to get the issue resolved quickly. Thankfully it was a minor issue and they were great about getting the vehicle in.From our sales rep to those who serviced the vehicle, we were pleased with our interactions. We even got to meet the owner, who personally greeted us and made sure that we were taken care of.Based on this experience, we will definitely consider Pella Motors the next time were looking for another vehicle!

My experience with them has been that they are a stereotypical car dealership. I bought a Chevy Equinox from them 6 months ago. The salesman was very friendly and helpful, and got me the price I wanted on the vehicle. Other than that, the car itself has been a money pit. I was told when I bought the vehicle that it belonged to one of the mechanics at the dealership and was the best taken care of car on the lot. 3 days after I bought it the check engine light came on. Needed new cat. converter for $1000. The dealership agreed to pay that. I had to do repairs on the brakes, some suspension, and a few other minor fixes. There are still some other repairs done to the brakes, heater, and I found that one headlight mount was broken when sold to me. Looking at putting in a couple more thousand to fix everything, and that should not happen when you purchase a $10000 vehicle. Hopefully this is not the best taken care of car on the lot.

I just bought a brand new Buick Envision today from them. I recommend either Carson Klyn or JD Duea. I test drove several vehicles and both guys were very helpful and knowledgeable about them. Id been on the fence for a couple of weeks, went to other dealers and I will say, these guys came out and asked me if I had questions etc. to where a dealer in Ankeny (Bob Brown) completly ignored me. I dont know how others feel about that, but I at least like to feel that a dealership cares enough to have someone come out to ask if they can help. They were great here! Never pushy, answered a lot of questions, very patient and let me test drive 4 different cars! I hope their follow up service is as great as their sales people! Id definitely recommend this dealership!

Bought a 2005 f150 from them a week ago the motor just went out today thank you for ripping me off!!!! I put less then 500 miles on the truck in 7 days now I have no vehicle and out thousands of dollars!!!! We get a email saying call the dealer ship talk to the sales manager lol get a run around and say they will call back havent heard a word from the ya thats really helping me out still out thousands of dollars and truck is still broke down on got around 500 miles on the truck I bought from them

Good hospitality. We got a trade in 2005 Chrysler town and country and it had some minor issues. But what do you expect for a $800 van with 203,000 miles. It had pretty much every bells and whistles Chrysler had except moon roof and DVD players. We bought a previous van from them 4 or 5 years ago and didnt have much trouble with it until I wrecked it. We drove that one 60,000miles and when we got it it had 196,000 miles. So they arent a bad place. You just got to keep in mind you buy what you pay for.

I have bought 2 new trucks from Pella Motors and I am very happy. They had a great selection, great prices and my salesman Dale Johnson was the best. We have to drive over 50 miles, but its worth it. After trying mutliple lots in Des Moines, Ames and Ankeny, I gave Pella Motors a shot. Very glad I did, they have great prices and were open and honest when negotiating. Carson was the salesman I worked with, and he was very helpful and not pushy at all. Highly recommend.

In the beginning the staff was great, the process seemed smooth until after negotiation my trade in value was somehow reduced by a $1000, went ahead and bought the recommended flawless extended warranty separately. Drove away feeling okay with the experience and loving my new vehicle. After refinancing with my bank and found a better priced, with better coverage, extended warranty plan that I wanted to cancel, all customer service went out the door. The purchase had been made, I then began to realize the good experience with the dealership had ended. After weeks of struggling to cancel the extended warranty only to be penalized on the return, I can only say stay away from the loan department. Do your own research and use your own bank. Be warned, they will take advantage of you if they can! Avoid the ALLY extended warranty they push, it is NOT the best EW package on the market!

My son bought his first vehicle here last week. And they seen him coming. He had the vehicle 1 day. The car died in the driveway and it took 6 trys to get it going again. And the window went down and wont go back up. He called them. They said they dont check everything out when the vehicle is over a specific year. And there is nothing they will do for him. If it would have died on the highway, and put them in a ditch. With my granddaughters it would have been a big problem.

We leased a 2014 Chevy Impala and the entire experience beginning to end was great. We were able to complete all of the pricing and final deal completely through the internet section of the dealership. We have been purchasing vehicles for 40+ years and always dreaded the trip to the dealer to be pressured and sold, usually buying a car or extras we didnt need. Not so with purchasing through the internet. Particular thanks to Jason Mickelson for his assistance with navigating the process and to the sales and finance team at Pella Motors. We arrived at the dealership, signed all of the paperwork, got a briefing on the car, and were on the road in a little over an hour. Great folks and great experience. Would highly recommend this method and dealer.
