I know there are staffing shortages, but it angers me to have no cashiers working and I have to check my own groceries and bag them. While Im doing the checking, I looked around and most of the employees were looking at their cell phones or chatting/flirting with other employees. If you trust me to check my groceries, dont ask to see my receipt. Half of the aisle I parked in was blocked because the cart return was overflowing. I will purchase my groceries from Fareway where they check my groceries, bag them and place them in my car.

I would give them all 5 Stars if they would be getting back to twenty-four hours a day other than that I love their clearance aisles

Walmart is not my fav store. I prefer super target and just better stores in general. But since moving from Colorado to Iowa Im realizing they dont offer much and all the stores are smaller. So just have to get used to it. The employees are decent at this one.

Not all Walmart have helpful friendly people. Im lucky to live in a town where the majority of the workers are pretty nice and helpful. Sometimes you encounter someone who comes off as is you are bothering them, but not often. Being an essential worker is certainly rough these days. The two oldest people in the store were at the checkers working hard like guys and little girls stood around acting like they were feeling the candy shelves

It is was a terrible experience! Every team member I walked passed was so rude. Not one of them ask if I needed help or if I was finding everything ok.

I heard a grown man yelp with excitement here.

This is pretty much just like any other walmart Ive been in. Ive lived on the east coast of the U.S. for 27 years and having been in well over 20 walmarts on the east coast I can tell you theres a MAJOR difference between this one and others.First off the liquor section is something Ive never seen on the east coast, this Wal-Marts liquor section is somewhat extensive, their beer selection is decent, not all that big but its something ( could have more choices )The produce section is pretty much exactly the same as those on the east coast with some slight differences. Overall its a good produce section, no complaints. You can pretty much get almost anything you need in that area.The seafood selection in Iowa Walmarts are pretty depressing, most everything is frozen / not the best quality, the sell by dates pretty much give you 2-5 days till your food goes past is best by date.Same goes for the meat sections in most walmarts in this state. I dont really know whats going on with these stores in iowa but meat and seafood doesnt have long to be good on the shelves, pretty limited options and not the best quality.Now onto the spanish/asian nationality foods section They are TERRIBLY lacking in options, choices, ingredients.I dont know if the franchise in Iowa believes that customers dont want those kinda options or choices but its definitely effecting the business and upsetting customers who are coming to look for ingredients that are VERY common in other walmarts across the entire east and west coast.Thats why Im rating this Wal-Mart and really the 5 that Ive already been to in and around Marion county.

You stand in a long line, only 1 register open. Meanwhile there are at least 4 employees standing there watching you. Very disappointed.

Disappointed in prices. Quite a few things were cheaper in Hy-Vee. Quite a few empty shelves. I only found one thing I wanted. Employees seemed to busy to help when asked a question. Only employees that answered were the deli ones. Everyone else was too busy

This is the best Wal-Mart I have ever been in. From out of town, I do not shop at Walmart but stopped at this pella location in a pinch... Exceeded my expectations by far.

Has most of the essential items, but is often out of other popular items. The staff can be rude occasionally, but most of the employees are helpful and considerate.

Convenient. Most staff are friendly & knowledgeable. Others though are extremely lazy & have literally lied to my face & over the phone. Do your job, or perhaps you shouldnt have one. Dont always have a lot in stock, which results in running to various other stores.

Our Walmart is clean and the customer service is good.You could argue that they are the lowest prices in town but they are not. Although the Gluten free stuff is better priced. They recently moved the aisles so for example, you cant get two carts down the same aisle in the office section of the store. This is very annoying. Also their office supply section is pitiful. Very few choices.

This Walmart is a lot cleaner and has friendlier staff that my local Walmart. It might be smaller, but I would rather shop here than the one closer to my home.

We took 30 minute drive, one-way, to Pella thought it would be a nice drive to get out of the house.Walmart to pick up a Fitbit I ordered online, twice. Sat. Evening-Customer Service closed before store so after getting >$120 worth of groceries because we were not aware it closed prior to store, we left empty handed, no Fitbit. (Store announced it was closing in 45 minutes but did not mention the closing of Customer Service earlier) Headed back to Customer Service on Sunday morning. Ignored upon arrival at desk, no lights on, greeting or conversation. I asked, “ Are you not open for online pick up?” Response was no eye contact, “What’s the name?” She put my name in device, “We don’t have that, it’s not here.” I explained that I had received an email yesterday, I’d go out to my car to get my phone, brought it in. No greeting, zaps phone, goes to the bin, gets product and tosses on the counter. “Here you go...”No thank you, no nothing. Wow.Never again, Pella Walmart.

Have never had a problem here until today, my mother who does not speak the best English in the world, needed to make a payment on her account, she told the cashier that she needed to “make a payment” after the cashier told asked her other questions she didn’t understand she called me to help interpret. I answered and said, “sorry for the inconvenience, myMother needs my help translating. She just wanted to make a payment.” To which the cashier responds, “ I don’t need you to tell me how to do my job, if she doesn’t know what she wants to do she shouldn’t come here.” I don’t understand what her problem was, but I was just trying to make things easier for both my mother and her. It was very disrespectful.
