Over the top customer service. Took my 4 yo daughter in to get our hair cut. They went above and beyond to make it a special experience she even got a little massage and shampoo. It was a relaxing and pampering experience for both of us. Our stylist Kai was amazing and patient every step of the way.

This is the cutest salon. Its very small on the square, but they are friendly and professional. I just came in for a haircut and she did a great job so I will be returning for coloring services soon. Im so glad I found an Aveda salon near me.

If youre Asian, not a local and from out of town, reconsider before getting your hair done at this establishment. I was not treated the same way as their regular customers. The only one person that provided great customer service was the front receptionist. Everyone else was non-engaging and I was pretty much ignored my 3+ hours there. My stylist was new, only 2 years in the business. She didnt have much of a personality and an awkward conversationalist. She was sloppy with her work. She didnt wipe off my color that she applied off of a majority of my forehead and temple. My highlight color was not the caramel color I showed her on Google before she started. I asked for a trim to clean up my ends and it turned out uneven. The manager or owner was next to us listening, she came over and asked what the problem was. She wasnt friendly either and sounded a little irritated and lectured me on why its good to have an idea or picture of what I want. Which I DID. She explained to the new stylist why she couldnt cut my type of hair the way she did because it shows everything. She offered to correct my highlights and make it right. I had already been sitting there 3+ hours. I didnt have another 2 to give them or return the following day. I manage 17 clinics coast to coast. I dont have the time to sit around and waste any more time. I even tipped the stylist $30 dollars for services rendered even though I shouldnt have for the quality and outcome. It was the right thing to do.

When I moved to Pella 2 years ago several people recommended Blackstone. I went and fell in love. The ladies there are all very nice, Kylie is a magician with hair color and highlighting. The extra pampering like scalp massage, hand massage and fixing my make up at the end just make it an event, a treat to myself. Coming here from Illinois, it was a sticker shock, but it hasnt stopped me from going back. Tiffany does a great job and hires talented staff, I wouldnt hesitate to go to any of the girls there. If you want a day of being pampered and a haircut you will walk out loving, go to Blackstone

Kylie was so amazing. I was nervous to switch up my hair and she made it totally comfortable. She would stop at every step and make sure that I liked it. Totally professional and knowledgeable but also warm and welcoming. I would heartily recommend!

Alison has been doing my hair for about 2 years now and it always looks great! Shes highlighted it, dyed it, and chopped it to a pixie for me. This salon provides really quality work for an inexpensive price.

Just got my hair cut here for the first time. Very professional clean and friendly. They were very patient with my two children being there as well. I will definitely be returning. Kylie did exactly as I asked and the massages were amazing.

Have only been there once. Lady who I had an appointment with was ten minutes late. Three or four ladies in the backroom and no one was doing hair. When lady got there, she apologized and said for some reason she is always late for most things. Makes a person feel totally unimportant and as though she has no respect for others. Will not go back.

They do wonderful and the stylists take their time with shampooing, lotion on hand and touch up makeup. Makes one feeling pampered!

Tiffany is amazing! I had my white blonde hair botched by a high-end salon in Des Moines that was not interested in fixing it. I contacted Tiffany at the advice of my retired stylist and Im so happy, it was well worth the hour drive to Pella and back. She fixed it with confidence and got my hair looking fantastic! I wish I could bottle this feeling!
