The battery died on our only car. It took me a few hours to get it towed with our roadside assistance and Billy still got me in and completed well before closing even with a second battery that was hard to get to needing to be replaced.. All communication was done over the phone and Billy did an excellent job of keeping me well informed. Great service at a fair price. I even got a follow up call from the owner the next day. Gary has our business in the future for sure.

Great attitudes, first time ever to experience a car mechanic issue. $1250 to fix my truck after it was diagnosed. That amount did not fix the issue it was brought in for. I took it back 30 mins after picking it up and was told it would get taken care of. The owner even claimed to look at it. The shop never called me with updates, I called them every week and even went by twice. Was told it was an issue they had to figure out, then that they were short handed. I drove by the place everyday twice to and from work. Never in 4 extra weeks did I see my truck in the shop. It was parked outback the entire time. Great place that gladly took my money, however did not complete the task, or provide the service I needed -fixing the truck. Sad ending to what was looking like a great experience. I am new to town and this was my first dealing with a Pensacola auto mechanic. Not a great showing, wish it ended better so I could have sang praises but same issues with the truck and light over a thousand dollars. Will not go back, ever!

Ive lived in Pensacola for three years now and have been fortunate enough not to have any major vehicle issues. When my truck went down last week I asked all my friends where I should go because I had no idea. Nearly everybody said I should go to Gary Sapp Automotive... and now that will be the answer when somebody asks me to recommend a mechanic. My appointment was set up for this morning, and by this evening I had my truck back in working order. Price was fair, work was fast, and everyone I interacted with was courteous and professional. This is literally everything you could want for automotive services.

Needed a new flywheel and clutch in my Mini Cooper, called 7 or 8 transmission and/or foreign car specialists and only one was even willing to look at the car. I dropped my car off a week ago and was treated very poorly was given the run around and never contacted about what was wrong with my vehicle. I did all the calling because my car was sitting for a week until I finally got answers when it came to them speaking with my warranty company they didn’t even tell me my claim was denied until after I had to call and find out my self. The lady at Gary Sapp had a attitude when I asked her what was going on with my car. If I have car trouble in the future I will definitely not put a dime in they pocket. Bad service and poor attitudes. I towed my car away from them.

I had two excellent experiences with Gary Sapp Automotive. The first was when my car needed to be towed. Before towing he took a look at my car and was able to diagnose the issue, unlike the shop I was regularly using. After that experience, I decided to just take my car to them the next time instead of going back to the other shop in the area. GSA was able to determine the issue pretty quickly, Ryan was kind enough to go over the needed repairs in detail, and then they finished the repairs a lot earlier than estimated. I highly recommend them and the next time I need someone to look at my car, I now know exactly who to call.

Been going to Garys since hes had a shop. Gary is one of the most honest and conscientious mechanics Ive ever met.He once spend hours of his own time searching for the cause of a recurring problem on my old Nissan just because he couldnt stand to see it leave the shop again without knowing it was fixed for good.You dont get that level of commitment from most mechanics, in my experience.

Zero stars. Told me they’d fix my vehicle and they simply didn’t. Instead, they left me stuck in between GS and Peach, wondering why I’m without my vehicle. I thought these guys were reputable...turns out they’re just like the rest. Bad service and no one takes responsibility.

If you ask around Pensacola who’s the Best in auto repair, Gary Sapp is the first one mentioned & top of mind...for good reason. Every time I visit the shop, I see something else that they fix besides cars (RVs, commercial vehicles, little trucks, big trucks, vans of all types). The owner is hands on and has dozens of certifications. This place can obviously fix anything & everything. I get the oil changed on my suv here but feel 100% confident the man can fix anything. Wouldn’t go anywhere else at this point. They also are down to earth and not pretentious, what you see is what you get. Nice people

Close to home reliable and good

The truck had been to previous places and I was told that there is nothing wrong with it. Gary was able to diagnose what was wrong with the front suspension on my truck. Very friendly staff they worked with my extended warranty insurance policy and they set up an appointment time to repair my truck. My truck was fixed in the timeline they gave me. They got strait to the problem, no fluff, and were mostly concerned about making sure my vehicle was safe for me to drive. I have used Gary Sapp Automotive for many years. My battery died Tuesday afternoon during threatening weather with my windows rolled down. Gary Sapp drove to my location to try to jump it off then had another employee bring out a new battery and installed it for me all within 30 minutes of calling. Gary Sapp and his crew are professional, courteous and reasonably priced. I will continue to recommend their services and will see them for my next oil change soon.

Great place, honest feedback! Took my Forester in for an oil change and 50k service; asked them to investigate a noise from the front-end. Oil change and 50k service was smooth and they replaced brake pads giving me several options for cost vs performance. Diagnosed the noise as an issue with transmission but went the extra mile to call and see if the issue was still under warranty, which it was. Rather than try and sell me a costly repair, Gary Sapp recommended I take it to the dealer to see if the issue was covered under warranty first. Likely saved me alot of money. Definitely recommend!

Excellent service! We had repairs done in Georgia and the the compressor died after 2 weeks. We came to Gary Sapps as a gold certified Napa auto care center, and I was very impressed. They got the parts quickly and Jimmie helped me get ahold of the Napa center since the part was under warranty, and the repairs were done in a mere 5 hours, instead of 24-36 hours I expected. I would highly recommend this mechanic to anyone in the Pensacola area.

My 2004 F-150 had a starting problem for over a year, one place told me coil packs, another charge me over $200 said it was battery (nope), another place told me it was the keys fault charged me $500 and told me to get new ignition switch & keys (nope), instead I took it to Sapp Auto, Ryan (I think) called me next day said it was spark plugs, YEP, that was it. Broke down in Milton and got towed her while in town for a festival. They fixed my car and found another major problem as to why the belt was falling off. Friendly staff and clean professional office. Glad they were the recommended AAA certified place. Even called a few days later to check in and make sure I made it safely home.

I have a 1967 Ford truck that is my every day driver and work truck. Gary and his staff know this and every time I come in they treat Ethyl (thats her name) like she is their own, and know that my time is valuable as well. My wife also brings her Subaru in and as some one who knows cars I know they treat her right, dont try to sell her on stuff like muffler belts, hydrocelators, or sprocket springs. If they say your vehicle needs it, it truly does. Not only that but the warranty on parts and service is always honored. I send my friends and family here because I trust them with their safety and service.

I noticed my battery indicator light was on. I stop at the parts store, They check it out( for FREE) and said it was most likely my alternator and to have it checked by a mechanic. So I stopped by Gary Sapp Automotive to have it verified. $58 later they told me the same thing the Parts house told me for FREE. Then, that it it would cost over $600.00 to replace the unit. NO WAY. I went online ordered the replacement unit, went to the parts house picked it up, drove home, removed 2 electrical connections and 3 capscrews, removed the old unit, put the new unit in place installed the 3 screws and 2 electrical connections. Done less then 1 1/2 hours and $200, How does Gary Sapp Automotive get off charging the prices he does?
