While on vacation last year, I had the delightful experience of stepping into this shop and feeling like I was an immediate friend. There was a wide selection of yarns, but I was most drawn to the array of sock wool from Big Sky Yarn Co. I finally got around to knitting up Toes in the Sand into this easy shawlette, and I love it! You had better believe I will stop back in the next time we are in town!

Oh my goodness, where to begin. The selecting of yarn was excellent, and it was extraordinarily clean and well organized. The owner was also super nice and knowledgeable, as well as personable and easy to talk to. Would recommend to both locals and those visiting from out of town.

They have lots of goodies for new and experienced crafters a like. Everyone is super nice and helpful. If you are in the area, make a stop in!

This was my first time in this shop. Everyone was very friendly, the shop was well stocked and I was very well attended. Plenty of squishy time and just enough input without feeling pressured or ignored. Thats such a hard balance to achieve. I will definitely be back. I would encourage anyone to stop by I am sure they will love it. I love the yarn I purchased and have already started my project

WOW! As a crafter and artist, I cant believe I just found out about Dixie Knits!!! What a great place to shop, stitch, and take classes! Their yarn selection is UNBELIEVABLE - vast and unique, beautifully displayed throughout the shop, you wont find any of these fabulous yarns and accessories at hobby stores like Michaels or JoAnns. Which is not to say that they are out of the average crafters price range. The prices here are competitive! Lastly, this is such a friendly and inspiring place!!! Theres usually always a handful of people stitching here as they sit chatting around a large table at the back of the store. The owner is very knowledgeable about everything stitching related and was genuinely welcoming! Five stars for this unique and friendly gem of a yarn shop!!!

Oh, hurray! We have a yarn shop in Pensacola! Right downtown!! And the owner is lovely!!!The owner worked with a yarn shop elsewhere before moving here. The selection of yarns was slim at first but its getting better every time I go in. Plenty of notions. Classes and knitting circles. Samples.Lots of hand-dyed stuff, some of it luxury fibers. College yarns, including West Florida, if thats your thing. And BLUE ANGELS yarn!Coffee, tea and a place to knit if you have time to stay for awhile. One of the most welcoming shops Ive every been to, and Ive been to dozens, all over the country.

Wonderful little store! Great hospitality. The yarn in there is just gorgeous! The owner helped me pick out the perfect pattern and walked me through it. I wish I wasnt just visiting the area because I would love to hang out on their knitting night!!

A lovely and delightful shop in the heart of Pensacola. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They have a very nice selection of yarns, needles and notions for knitters of all skill levels.

Took a class on wet felting flowers there in January 2018. The class was fun! The ladies there are knowledgeable and willing to answer your questions no matter how silly you think it might be. Stop in. Say hi. Pick up some knitting needles and lern to make beautiful things. Picture attached was the flowers we made in January.

Good basic selection of nice yarns... Not the widest selection Ive seen but its the only real yarn store for miles and miles! Proprietor was kind and happy to chat, very welcoming, mentioned knit-alongs and a regular knitting group. I hoped to find more local yarns. There was one locally dyed yarn, and I dont really know the fiber industry here so maybe thats all there is!

Any time Im off work, or bringing my nanadaughter to Pensacola from northeast Milton, we HAVE to go to Dixie Knits! The owner is so nice, helpful, and has set up her shop beautifully! I want to buy everything, everytime I go there! Dixie Knits is our toy store!!! The people who shop and hang out there, are very nice too. I had taught my nanadaughter to finger crochet, and she was practising there. A lady, who brought her daughter and grandson to the shop,so kindly asked my nanadaughter if she wanted to learn finger knitting. We both were delighted, because I had never heard of finger knitting. Within 5 minutes, she had my nanadaughter finger knitting a bracelet, which was beautiful! Now, my nanadaughter teaches all her friends how to finger knit and finger crochet. And sometimes, she even uses her knitting needles to teach them! But she and her friends are tickled that so long as they have some type of material to turn into fabric or chains, they always have tools to do it- yay, fingers!
