If your are not Hispanic dont go!!!! The people are extremely rude. Im from Chicago and I love the Mexican grocery stores there. At this store you can request a pound of meat and they will measure the meat at 1lb then carve all the extra fat n other uneatable parts and still charge you for a 1lb. Ive never seen a market do this ever!!!! I not here to give away money. When I politely inquired now no one speaks English. Its sad that people that should know what it feels like to be marginalized could be so rude, disrespectful and ignorant. This is just the culture of Peoria. Its sad. There is an amazing market like this in bloomington, please go there. Youll be glad you did.

Amo tanto esta tienda! Im an avid lover of all things from Mexico and this is the spot for all your grocery needs. They have everything - cheese, salsas, fresh produce, seasonings, masa, candy, meats etc etc. The staff are so friendly too. 5 ⭐

Store had plenty of items but some areas were just cluttered with storage like items that were in the way of reaching other items. The freezer looked unkept and everything looked to have freezer burn on it. The butcher shop looked clean, but the pork belly was gross tasting. Once heated the only flavor you can taste was plastic,....not pork. They did have El Milagro tortillas which is the only reason I stopped in the first place. 3 staff members were at the register, but in their own world as I stood there for a min before they even realized I was standing there. Would I go back? Possibly.

The cashier an older woman tries to charge extra.Watch out! She was charging me extra $5 dollars for no reason. So when I checked my receipt, I had more items on the list that I had bought when I asked her why I had an extra item on the list, she played dumb. She said she didn’t know why.Why she doesn’t charge less instead?Be careful! If she is doing that, probably all do that.

Nice little authentic style mexican mercado... A bit expensive ($1.50 for a dozen tortillas when they are 50 cents other places) ... Everyone there seems polite and friendly. You must be aggressive when buying meat from the butcher and stress what you want or they give you whatever is easiest and fastest for them. A lot of great authentic products you couldnt find anywhere in Peoria, IL!

Small store area so small variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, chesses and other basic items. Its hard to move around especially if someone else wants to use the shopping cart.

Not bad for items you cant get at a chain market.
