The Peoria Guitar Center staff has always been very helpful when assisting with equipment or placing special orders. Morgan even greets me by name when I enter. They have a good selection of equipment for town this size and can order many other items. The return policy gives me confidence in my purchases.

Great selection, friendly staff. Have gone in and tried several guitars in the past, the staff was always helpful. Went in to purchase a guitar and all my questions were answered. After looking at the display unit, a new one from stock was brought out and removed from the box for inspection. Very reasonably priced, lots of available parts & accessories. Store is clean, although somewhat tightly packed with amps on the floor and tight shelving. Overall good experience and would not hesitate to shop here again.

Negotiation is all about integrity and the Peoria store really blows when it comes to this. I had been quoted $2304.74 out the door for a Taylor 414ce VClass and went in to find the price had dropped $100.00 and so to get to the $2100.00 out the door I had offered it should have been reasonable to think the deal was getting closer to both parties getting to their price points.Store manager Ben wasn’t honouring any of the conversation I had with another associate which had provided the quote.Clearly he can’t do the math so enjoy watching that instrument sitting on your rack!!

Good store employees are a bit pushy but a great selection.

Wasn’t hardly acknowledged by any of the staff, customers were not handled in the order that they walked in, or even close. It was not very busy at all, while the associate in the department we were in did have 2 other customers, he helped them before even speaking to us even though we had come in way before they did. The associate finally acknowledged us in the middle of a transaction and let us know he’d be right with us. He then proceeded to again, help someone else who had came in after us instead of giving us the time of day. So we left after a solid 45 minutes of this. Drove 30 minutes to Peoria and back for nothing. I’ll be buying my equipment somewhere else.

There are things to like and dislike about the Guitar Center. Any business potentially has its weaknesses, and guitar Center is run like a corporation. Management makes decisions based on making money, as you would expect. However, I gave 4 stars because the employees at this location love music and love sharing music with the customers and love working their. My experience is that they are very friendly and very helpful. They want to help you as much as possible in fulfilling your music needs and abilities. You can play their instruments anytime they are open with no requirements. And they work with you on layovers and stuff like that, trying to help you get the instruments and accessories you need to succeed. I didnt feel I could give it 4 stars because of what I said at the beginning.

Well this guitar center is my favorite.I bought a fender champ x2.tons of issues with it.Had to go to another Guitar center for another same issue.So I returned to peoria with it.I was a bit perturbed not at guitar center but i had drove probably 400 miles in a week for that amp.Returned it got a different fender amp $700 dollars different.But the staff and management was awesome.reallyI highly recommend the Peoria Guitar Center.Thanks

I bought a pair of used hi hats, and it was a great experience. I called during a busy time in the busy season (Christmas) and my call was returned right away. There was a hiccup in the ordering system, and was sorted right away. The entire staff was very helpful. I dealt mostly with Joey, who is the store manager, and he was wonderful. I work retail also, and he did a great job helping me. No question a Five-star experience. Great, Great, Great!

Some essential accessories cannot be found here. I needed “guitar to usb” cable to record my pieces but after wasting my time there for 20 minutes I have been told my only option is some $60-120 interface... I found what I needed in Amazon for $29 which works perfectly fine with no latency. They provide wrong information be careful. This is to make money under any condition...

Ive never had a bad experience at this place. Always very helpful and usually if Im looking around theyll ask me a few times if I need help with anything and even ask me when I come in the door. Going back today because unfortunately the clip that came with the condenser mic I bought didnt fit my boom stand. Might buy a Gretsch I saw the other day. Over all, great place for musicians, it is my candy store.

Ive taken my Godin, PRS, and Fender here to have quite a bit of work done between the three and Sam not only did a great job, but worked with me on a great price. Ill be taking my next guitar here for some extensive work for sure.

Found it hard to get any help. Not because they were so busy. Just nobody wanting to. Selection of products is decent. I recommend signing up for their emails then wait for a coupon before buying something.

Ordered a used behringer crossover. Was told it was in good condition and tested. When it arrived it was missing pieces and would not even power on. So i had to more time out of my day to drive it to the local guitar center and return it. Ordered a new one instead off Amazon with a 3 year warranty for way less. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!

As a former employee, I know what Guitar Center has to offer and how sad this store has become compared to what it used to be. I walked in wanting to look at a new acoustic, spent over an hour in the acoustic room, came out WITH A GUITAR IN HAND and received no attention until I went to the desk. I was then informed that theyd get one new in the box from the back. Id rather have the one in the humidity controlled acoustic room than one from the drafty warehouse, regardless of whether its been played before, because its the one I sat down with and enjoyed playing. Apparently, that makes no sense to someone who is allegedly a guitar player...Long story short, all the good sales associates left this store long ago. Youre better off going online or through another GC.

With the exception of one salesman who is always helpful, I still have issues with this business in general. I say this because Im not sure if its just the store or the way all guitar centers are but Im not interested in paying new prices for used gear. Just because a guitar or amp or pedal has never been purchased doesnt make it new! If a guitar or amp has been played/tested 100s of times and a pedal has been stomped on over and over by many people, why would I pay full price for this? I wouldnt pay new price for a car that has been test drove 10000 miles why would I buy a guitar at new cost that has visible wear on the fret board or was bought and returned and shows evidence of repairs and was obviously just hung back on the rack as a NEW guitar. Example, I bought a Schecter 7 string and it looked pre-owned but I was assured that it hadnt been so I bought it, it was cheap enough. Got it home and about 3 days of playing I started to get issues with the jack so I pulled the cover off and I am very experienced in electronic repair/soldering and this had been Fixed by someone who obviously had 0 experience. So my suspicions were confirmed. I returned it pointing this out as why I am returning it. One day later I go back in and there she hangs...Like brand new. Every time I go in there to look at getting something, they never have anything in box, its always the display they try and give to me. I dont want your used junk at the cost of new. I no longer visit guitar center because every visit is worse than the last and if I wanted this kind of gear I would just go to a pawn shop, Ive had better luck there any way

Didnt like that a salesperson said hi to us as we entered, then another guy was helping us in the guitar room and as we went to the register with him, guy #1 who had said hi earlier basically told guy #2 who helped us that it was his sale because he talked to us first. That was garbage.

Sales staff is friendly and helpful, on and off. depending on the day and the person.A mostly young staff, they tend to have less patience with older customers.That is the feeling I get.Still, this is a standout among the GC stores Ive visited.Lots of good sale specials, and a wide inventory.Best thing is, the sales staff are UP on the Bose L1 system (I am a rep).Most GCs arent as open about them, they dont push them, since once a customer buys one, they dont need a lot of other outboard gear to make it sound good. Hence, fewer sales after the fact.Prices are competitive with online discounters.All in all, a good store.

Went in 3 weeks ago as I am in the market for a new guitar on a slow week night. I was there for about half an hour and passed no less than 4 employees and never got so much as a hello The sad part is that I had a healthy budget and was ready to buy that day. I have to wonder how many other sales go walking right out their door to purchase online. They had fewer customers than salespeople but managed to avoid all of us. Needless to say, I made my purchase elsewhere, and I will not be back.

I love going to Guitar Center they have so many items its overwhelming for me LOL. I wanted to have bass guitar lessons and they do that now at a good price compared to other places. The instructor Dylan was very thorough and I give him an A+. I had my first lesson with him and I felt very comfortable with him and I know I can learn quickly. The associates do their best to keep up with customer flow. I would go when the customer base is low to moderate because sometimes they can be a little over whelmed. And I know they want to treat each customer the best they can. It is nice to have the 10% off if you take lessons from them that can add up quickly if youre buying guitar or piano Etc. I love the gsr200 Ibanez bass guitar. The neck is very smooth not too wide Easy for my arthritis in my fingers and it sounds great for 199.00. Overall experience was excellent I only tell people to please have patience when they get busy. Easy parking easy in and out. A mall to do extra shopping also if needed. A+

This is not a safe place for young girls. I was just in this store with my 12yo daughter. She was looking through a display and found what she was after. We left withoutout making a purchase because of the indecent conversation the employees were having about their nightlife with every other word being the F word. They knew good and well that my daughter was standing right next to them as they were having this conversation. I will NEVER set foot in this store again and sugest you keep your family away from these fowl mouthed perverts as well.

I personally reffer to Guitar Center as Guitar-Mart, youll find some good deals, its lacking that music shop vibe with employees who are interested in helping you out. A lot of the employees there are only there to get the employee discount for equipment for their bands. Some of them are all right, but I went in to the acoustic room, and the employees were in there jamming out, which made it annoying that I couldnt try out anything because theyre in there, a small (acoustic only) room, playing thru amps. I made a special trip to look at purchasing a new acoustic, and was unable to try anything because theyre being paid to play. Go to Flores if youre looking for unique guitars and helpful staff. Also, theyre a small, local business which, if you can afford to pay a little more, is worth supporting our local, non-corporate businesses. And I wouldnt trust Guitar-Mart to do any modifications/repairs on my equipment. They just dont seem like they care.

Had a terrible experience. While attempting to purchase something they didnt have in stock they directed me to pick up in store. Before that though they were willing to sell me the demo that was available in store without the box, without the necessary chords, and without the software the came with it but refused to give me a discount for it if I were to purchase it. Also the guy that eventually sold me it was completely condescending and lied to me and said that I couldnt do the in store pick up online. Which I have checked and you for sure can do that. Extremely disappointed.

I was kicked out by the manager on this shift. Monday Feburary 4th 2018 at 3pm Peoria time. I was the only black person in the store but my music was to loud and he wanted to call the police like all black ppl are scare of police. He just gave this store a very bad look. Bad job hiring racist ppl guitar center. Congratulations
