I found this place from a coworker who lives in town. They are amazing at customer service and everyone, literally everyone working there will ask you if you need help finding anything. I’ve had a couple dozen different keys made and all are spot on.

DISCRIMINATION. I spend quite a bit of money here . I own a construction company and it’s close to my house and I purchase things often . Today I was on my Harley so I was wearing a back pack. The owner or manager told me I had to leave it at the register . Even though he was walking me to show me where the one thing I was there for was at . Now mind you I’m covered in tattoos so I’m guessing he was judging me . Walking me to the aisle and trying to take my back pack from me so I didn’t steal. I own 2 successful business and this is very offensive . Will never shop here againResponse to owner : no other customers were wearing backpacks because they weren’t on motorcycle . No one needs to hold my personal possessions while I shop and I don’t need walked around the store . You were assuming I was going to steal and it’s not a good look

Used to be you could find anything at this hardware store. Went there for a lawnmower blade. The person helping me kept randomly picking up blades to compare to my old one. My old one had the part number on it, but he wasnt interested in that. He picked out one that was wider than mine. He said that it SHOULD work. Trouble was that the mounting holes didnt line up with my old one. Finally he said that evidently they didnt have one. I drove to Lowes and they had what I needed. Got a 10 percent military discount to boot.

I did some shopping there and never the service experienced I ever had, the best salesman Ive ever had!!! I commend him I think his name was Bill Morrow. Give that man a raise please. He deserves it. Telling all friends to shop there. Thanks again!!!

Very polite hometown feel of a hardware store. Definitely miss this kind of feel you dont get that at Lowes and Menards or home Depot. With a great greeting and a customer service that walks you directly through the store and help you with your needs I thought was awesome. Definitely did not get that feeling when I stopped at Ace hardware in Pekin Illinois they just tell you where its at and good luck. Anyway guys great job. Love the team work also

The workers here are very eager to help, almost too eager? So far, no one has tried to mansplain to me, though I do get irritated when they asked me what are you using it for? Im pretty sure it doesnt matter what Im using it for please tell me where the items are that I just asked for, but all of the hardware stores tend to do that.

Some items are a little pricy but the customer service is among the best Ive ever seen anywhere. Associates are always willing to help in any way they can. Been here plenty of times and theyve helped me whether it was renting a tool, machine or expertise on plumbing this place has never lead me down the wrong path. Very knowledgeable staff!

Went there so a woman could rent a chain saw. The STIHL chainsaw was not sharpened and was an absolute waste of money. I own a McCullough 3.5 up chainsaw that ran circles around its gas counterpart. A 20 blade was required yet he let me leave with a dull 18 blade that I dont believe was.an even 18. We called the night before and still had to wait 40 minutes before leaving the store. This is not a commentary about. Stihl or the hardware store. This is about an employee that did he job in a lazy manner.. He did advise that running it into dirt would dull the blade. The blade was dull to start with. It would barely cut. STIHL and McCullough are both well known ans reliable brands. I love this hardware store...people are friendly.and knowledgeable but I was let down big time by a old gentleman that works with the chainsaws

Ok, I get it, you want to be there to help customers. It is excessively annoying to be asked 12 times in less than 20 minutes in a shoebox sized store if I need help. This is a great hardware store. I like coming to Ace more than the big box stores because its so much easier to find things (or associates when you cant find things!) I recently bought paint here and the woman who helped me was very nice and made sure I was getting the right kind of paint for my textured plaster walls. I dont love doing home improvement projects, but when they have to be done, I will come to this Ace for what I need!

I had some workers who needed to pick up materials but we didnt know the cost. I was able to call Nenas (no auto-attendant, 3 rings and I spoke directly to a human) The same employee was able to allow me to setup a pre-pay situation (she calls me when they get to the counter). The process seamless and enjoyable. I cannot imagine any box store matching this level of customer service.

Thank you to associate, Anthony Lane, who was especially helpful. I needed a replacement part for my lawnmower. Your store doesnt carry the item I needed but he helped me to identify the part number. I was able to get what I needed. Your staff has helped me on numerous occasions and always assists me with locating products and giving advise that helps me to get things done right. Often I just bring in a part that needs replacing or describe what Im trying to accomplish.

If I could give this place 10 stars. Dan and Kyle I think and the two best. If your car services by them you will not be disappointed.

Normally this place is a 5 but today it’s a 1. They sold me a gas hose with pipe dope already on one of the fittings. When I came in to return because it didn’t fit my stove they wouldn’t let me return it. So just writing so other people know to check the fittings before you buy it.

As with all Nena Ace Hardware stores, great advice, helpful staff and most everything you need for your home repairs.

Rented a tool from them. We didnt use the tool right away. When we did start using the tool had a issue with it. We photographed the problem with it. When we took the tool back we were accused of damaging the tool. They then proceeded to tell me that I rented the tool the day before I did and when i told them i did not they didnt believe me. It wasnt until they saw another date (date printed) on the invoice that they believed me. My boss wasnt with me so I decided not to sign for the refund of the deposit bc I didnt want to be liable for the damage. Very rude. Very unlikely professional

Known brands and ones you dont find in big box stores. Again, staff to help you understand the pros and cons of which product is right for your job.Keys, electronic chip car keys, replacement car key fobs are very comptative priced. Sign up for store membership and they track purchase by phone number you provide, so no problem with returns if you dont have receipts.Plants are more pricey then elsewhere, but Hardy and guaranteed. Best hardware store I have ever been to!Did I mention great tool rental department! Free expert advice!

This is the kind of hardware store ever town used to have, but bright and clean!I went in to get keys copied when visiting from out of town. I used to live a mile away, and went here regularly. Easy to find, exceptionally helpful staff. Unique items. Tools to help you find the exact match for that screw or bolt you need.They have changed franchises, but not staff, or ownership. Tool rental has been expanded and is quick, in and out. But they take the time to show you what you need and how to use it!

Original post: but keep reading please!{I guess these guys dont work on commission. I stood in the grill section for 20+ minutes waiting for help. A few employees chatted with each other and several men were approached and asked if THEY needed help. I was ready to purchase a gas grill and all accessories per my Consumer Report research, totaling more than $1500. Maybe Ill try Germantown Hills. Maybe.}I returned the next day and was greeted instantly, helped tremendously, and purchased the grill. Everyone has an off day. I think ours just happened on the same day! I shop small, local businesses as much as possible and have even owned one. The manager and I had a pleasant exchange and commiserated on how crucial good service is. This business is built on excellent service and that was evident today. Of course I will continue to shop here.

A traditional type of hardware store but rather well stocked for its size. Many small items look for can be found here. The larger items are good and you can purchase hot water heaters or lawn mowers or other items as such. Prices do compare with the larger stores rather well.

So I walked in with some materials for a project I needed to complete. I was greeted by a wonderful staff member and asked what I could use help with. I said I need some screws and washers to mount it to the wall. She points me to the aisle and calls for a staff member to help me out.I get to the aisle and there are two people there to help. Within 2 minutes we reached a simple solution and I got out of there for under $6. The excellent service that they provided was worth at least $20. I love going to the Ace here and will continue to come back for any future projects that I have.

Chain store but with small town atmosphere and friendly service. A great place to look for hard to find parts for older plumbing and electrical, screws, bolts and other hardware. They have a good selection of tools and equipment to rent from rototillers, pothole diggers, drywall lifters, power equipment etc.The older staff are quite knowledgeable but the younger guys, well, they are younger and inexperienced and not very knowledgeable about items and parts produced before their time. ALL the staff are courteous, friendly and anxious to help. You shouldnt have trouble finding someone to help you, the store has many sales employees. They also offer window and door rescreening services, sometimes a hard to find service now-days. They do make some of the new chipped auto keys at quite a saving over dealer prices; and of course other keys are duplicated as well. Also watch their sales, you can get some great buys. And yes, they even participate in Black Friday! 👍

Everytime I enter this store an employee is right there asking if I need anything and I love that! What truly surprises me is that for a smaller store they seem to always have what Im looking for, no matter how obscure. Honestly if I could give 6 stars I would. I wish that whoever is in charge of the store would teach a class because they seem to have the magic formula for employee happiness, customer service, and efficient use of shelf space.
