I love love love the landscaping work Hoerr Nursery has done at my home. It had stood empty for awhile before I purchased it & was in need of a serious refresh. In addition, Id had a trench dug in the front yard to replace an old water pipe. Kris Herman and her ace team -- Zach, Todd, Josh, & Debbie -- not only came up with a plan to beautify the front yard (clearing out years of accumulated veg debris, removing old shrubs, pruning remaining shrubs, and adding new sod, new trees/plants & mulch), they also worked to restore the trenched area -- which included repairing the underground gutter drain & stonework that had been removed. It looked better than new! Kris and her team exceeded my expectations -- always flexible with the plan & having a ready solution for new issues we encountered (eg, something was damaging my boxwoods, but Kris new what to do!). AND Im so so happy with the tree & plant selections Kris made -- she really knows her stuff and is so easy to work with. She took the time to answer all my questions -- great communication throughout the project! I will continue working with them next year as we tackle the back yard! ALSO -- Hoerrs lawnmowing & lawncare services are A++. Highly recommended!

This nursery is two hours from my house, but when I cant find something locally, they usually have it here. Most recently, I bought a nice concolor fir in September 2021. Many of their spring-dug firs were already spoken for, but I was still able to find a nicely shaped tree. Now my tree will be well settled in for the next growing season!

I ordered kiddie cushion mulch from Hoerr during their “Mulch Madness” event. The price was very reasonable and they delivered for free. From the person who took my order to the gentleman who delivered it, the entire process was professional and easy. I highly recommend!

Love shopping at Hoerrs! Between the things in their shop and the trees and flowers. You need at least 4 hours ! I only had 45 minutes as I wasnt aware they closed at 6 on sat!-

Kelly was incredibly helpful in assisting us with butterfly plants! She was so sweet and passionate about it all! But what really took it over the top was her care with our 3 yo son. He recently got stung by hornets so he’s pretty scared of all bugs right now. She went out of her way to show him around the butterfly garden and talked with him about all the butterflies and their habitats. She made him feel so safe around the bumble bees when he started to panic. Thank you so much Kelly!

Made couple trips to the nursery over the past weeks looking for shrubs/plants for my front garden areas. The staff here is just wonderful - knowledgeable and courteous! I must had met/spoken to 5-6 different people around the nursery, from those at the register to the stone area. Everyone was willing to help. Their guidance made a world of difference in the decision-making process, being a plant dummy myself. Service shines at this place! And to me that’s enough to come for my future gardening needs.

Really love stopping in at Hoerr Nursery. My only wish is that theyd carry more native plants. Theyre hard to find, unless I mail-order. That can get expensive for very small plants.

This place is HUGE! Its elegant and has so much to choose from. Everything is beautiful and vibrant, its hard to get only a few things! Im a very art oriented type of person and this place just wowed me with their various pieces and garden needs! The only thing Id change would be some of the prices, they were a little outrageous, not going to lie! Other than that I have no complaints. Will be back!!

The nursery and I have a disagreement on the hard the chunks of tan topsoil should be in the topsoil delivery they made on July 3rd so they get one star.Dont just view but dig through their supply before you buy. Just advice to myself and others in the future

First time I went I wasnt treated very well. My dirt covered shorts (from you know doing yard work) and sleeveless sweaty stained tshirt didnt mingle well with the usual clientele with kahkis and polos. The worker I spoke to was rather short with their answers like I was wasting their time and when i asked what some of the symbols mean on their tags they didnt know nor make much effort to find out. Made me feel like I didnt belong there. Left without buying anything. Second time I went expecting the same treatment but decided to give them one last shot. The lady I spoke with was very pleasant and helpful and made me feel welcomed as did the cashier. Maybe the first visit I got someone having a bad day but still...

Hoerr Nursery is always fun to visit-just like when you visit a smorgasbord for lunch, there are so many choices! And theyre all good! The staff is friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. The selection is great & the prices are reasonable, too. Go spend an hour there. Youll see what I mean.

We get mushroom dirt from them every year for our garden. Usually we have no issues. Today we had several rocks and a pick block of wood in our dirt -- never had problems before.

Hoerr nursery is the best in town for trees, plants, etc. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They run the business with an efficiency thats interesting to watch. Got it down to a science. They have plenty of gifts and garden stuff as well. Landscaping supplies and sod.

High prices, nice variety of merchandise, pricey, poor customer service, they are very proud of their merchandise, very nice showroom, and did I mention the price point on almost everything in the showroom was nearly double what you would find at any of the big box stores?

Plant lovers disneyland! theyre so nice and their selection of plants is always phenomenal. I bought a bunch of hard to find succulents from them when they first opened this season and theyre all still doing great! I will always recommend Hoerr nursery to the plant community

We have purchased plants and landscaping products from Hoerr and I love their selection and customer service. I recently had to visit them because the mugo pine I purchased in July had died. They covered it at 100% without any hassle and I wasnt even able to find my receipt which they were able to retrieve from their system.

Great Nursery to find everything Pretty for indoors and out... I travel 45 minutes to Hoerr for my plants because my home town Nursery Dies not have specific plants I need or want. And this Nursery Does.

I am in awe of the incredible service I received from Hoerr. Over the years I have bought many plants and flowers from Hoerr, then in the fall of 2011 I purchased 12 flowering trees for my driveway. I received a good deal on them which included delivery and planting. During recent storms, two of the flowering crabapple trees were snapped by high winds and lying on the ground. I spoke with my contact at Hoerr to see if they could be splinted and repaired, and before I knew it, two new trees were delivered and planted in my yard! I received a call from an arborist to tell me of the replacement and I was in shock. I never would have imagined a nursery replacing those trees after 1.5 years. Amazing! They also did an evaluation of the existing trees to find that the entire row had bore damage, so they recommended a drench to save them. The professionals at Hoerr were in constant contact throughout the replacement, and very knowledgable and responsive to my questions. I still cannot believe it--this is the best service I have ever received anywhere, in any industry! All my future landscaping purchases will be made with Hoerr. No question!

While they do have everything, its all very highly priced and it is certainly a very unfriendly and uncomfortable place as soon as they suspect that you might be of another sexual orientation. eeeek so consider that into your decision of where to go

They are too big to not have an online inventory, especially considering their location . On the other hand if you have time to waste, take the drive you might find something you like.

Sadly, I did the below review in the Fall of 2017. Hoerr Nursery just acknowledge the review today (04/26/2019). I was trying to load some bales of hay into my truck and the young girl and young guy working that day were rude, obnoxious, and did not lift a finger to help me. My money is as green as anyone else’s. I am sure if the Hoerr’s who built the business were still around they would have been horrified by how I was treated. I do love google reviews because it gives me a voice. I am old and I am not used to dealing with millennials but then again if my business was based on reputation and customer service I would only want good staff working for me.Its a place that baffles me. Its expensive and the Kid-Os or I should say staff are rude. Its a family run business so this family must be a real hoot to be around at family reunions.

Came to Hoerr Nursery having having an awful experience at Heights Flowers. Amy Jo spent the time to walk with us from plant to plant so we could find everything on our list. This is actually the second time that Amy Jo has helped like that and well continue to return to Hoerr Nursery as long as they have employees like her. It was a pleasure doing business there!

Asked for help. Was told by employee to ask the other employee. So I waited while they talked to another customer. Then they all walked away. Left without buying anything.
