We were just at Doc Davis for ice cream with friends9/12/21 at 4:30. The bees were so bad at all the tables we could not sit to enjoy our ice cream. I would think the tables may need to be cleaned good and sprayed around the area. They is absolutely no taste to the ice cream. Seems as tho the owners have lost interest in their business. So sad. We will not return. Thank You

Nice little place to go to for ice cream looked on their website pictures of hot dog plaques I thought it was a place I could go to bring my son to get lunch in an ice cream unfortunately no food service but the ice cream was okay and reasonable to be priced he loved his ice cream mine I could tell was a little bit older as it had freezer burn or ice chips in it from being frozen and then refrozen

This place has been around a really really long time way before I was born and Im in my mid-60s. The ice cream is always fresh they have a good variety they have great staff there they always have these kind of like college students there they have a little tip jar for their education and stuff I do ask people to put money in it cuz I do its the proper thing to do folks. The ice cream is homemade and you can tell the difference between them and say some of the other places out there. Later in the summer its a good idea to start checking on the peach because they start using local peaches at that point and its very good. There was a place in Hollis known as loches. They had the best peach ice cream in the world bar none simply because they use the peaches from the local farms unfortunately theyve been gone for oh God probably close to 30 years. They were the only competitor to doc Davis in the area. I think thats kind of nice and if youre lucky if its a hot day out they have these huge and I mean absolutely huge umbrellas these umbrellas must be 25 ft across. But you have to be the first one there otherwise you get to sit in the hot sun.

Love this little nook! A place from my childhood! Mom and Dad would throw us in our pjs and load us into the station wagon for an ice cream treat! This is homemade ice cream at its best! They dont offer a whole lot of flavors, but the ice cream itself is very flavorful. Dad would always order his favorite..the Doc special. They are always doing some different ice cream concoctions such as grahamtastic (mix of Graham cracker + something fantastic). There is something for everyone in this nostalgic place!

Excellent Icecream, I got the Grahmtastic? I think it was called Icecream and it was very good. Tasted just like grahm crackers with chocolate chips. Definitely homemade and very good, all the staff there were very friendly and were enthusiastic about answering our questions.

One of the few local places I can get soft serve. That is all that matters!!

Amazing ice cream. I’m sure many will disagree and even consider it blasphemous but, better than Kimball’s IMHO. Creamier and they don’t overwhelm with volume.

The place was dirty and expensive. It cost over $4 for one scoop of ice cream. It was good ice cream, but do they even make it on site? They have a bunch of old faded photos from when they supported little league in the 80s and none newer. I guess they cant be bothered anymore even with the prices they charge, which were written on the menu board in black marker on masking tape to cover up the old prices. Do things right and dont be so cheap if you are going to charge that much for ice cream. If youre going to do things cheaply, then youre prices should reflect that your cheap.

So disappointed this year. Minimal pistachios in the Pistachio ice cream and tiny bits of oreo in the Coffee Oreo ice cream. Last year, large chunks of cookie and a lot of pistachios! Chocolate ice cream color looks funny and does not taste much like chocolate.

Ive heard great things about this place so I thought I would give it a try. Sadly this place did not live up to the hype I heard. The prices are really high for ice cream that is not that good. The flavors are not very pronounced and just very bland. They ice cream I had today one scoop was melting as she put it on the cone and the other two were freezer burned. So they need to fix there freezers and at 8 bucks for a small waffle cone i think that should not be a problem. Another draw back is they have no order windows. I like to bring my pup with me and the ordering windows are nice because I would not need to leave her in the car but cant do that here. The final major drawback is theres not even a basic hot dog lunch combo. I mean I think every ice-cream stand should at least have a basic dog combo. The only two positives are they take google/apple pay and the young girl who took my order was very nice and helpful.

I was born in Boston and lived just down the street by this Ice cream shop in the neighborhood till I was about 7 years old. I have so many fond memories of driving to this little ice cream shop. My family then moved to Minnesota and Ive lived in Forest Lake for about 8 years now. I really miss Pepperell a lot and I miss all the amazing people who live there now. Such an awesome community. They have the best Soft Serve in the world :)I wont ever forget Pepperell...

Its not cheap, but its good--really good. There is always a wide selection of flavors if you come for the ice cream, and what are you doing here if you didnt come for ice cream? There are other standards like sundaes, banana splits, and frappes (known in most of the country as a milk shake). If you like soft serve, theyve got that too! Leave the hard-working kids a tip.

Great little ice cream shop if youre looking in the area for a treat. They do have Samsung and Apple pay and seating outside under enormous colorful umbrellas as well as a few seats inside. Good variety a flavors and ice cream is homemade.

This is an awesome place to get ice cream. Yeah there are others in the area but the staff here is awesome! It is just down the street from me. So great to go there after a day of yard work or just out for a stroll.

When it comes to ice cream guys, this is where you need to go. Both girls were happy and able to answer every question we had, the homemade cones were awesome. I got orange pineapple and my wife got strawberry and we were super happy with the taste. We had our dog with us and i asked if they had dog icecream and they did... a full scoop for 18 cents wow. All and all i recommend this place, definitely try a homemade cone its worth it. Also my bill was under 10 buck, we got the medium size of each ice cream.

We went here excited to get ice cream and left angry and with a melted ice cream mess. The girls working tonight are very rude, when my girlfriend asked for a different container because the one it is put in is not big enough, the girl behind the counter said just close the lid, which then all the whip cream and toppings were smashed into a couple half melted scoops of ice cream and all over the counter. This experience cost me $27 with a $4 tip, my gf tipped these two young punks before the horrible treatment of course!! Will never go back to this dump!!

We went for ice cream sundaes and got the most beautiful thing with hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry. Gave the cherry to my wife because I love her. The high school girls who took care of our orders were great and had great humor. Love Doc Daviss.

Doc Davis has and will always have what I consider the best homemade icecream around ! I lived less than a mile from there when I was a kid in 1970 . I now live in California and every where i go I cant find ice cream that comes close to what Docs had and ill bet still has and ill bet the prices are not half of what it cost out here, BUT I will say that Gunthers Ice cream is close and maybe better in some flavors with loyal customers like Kimballs in Chelmsford mass on Sundays ...

Best vanilla and chocolate soft serve in the area! The vanilla especially really tastes like fresh milk and vanilla. Their other scooped selections are always great, too.

After a beautiful hike in the woods with friends, this was the perfect end to the day. It has a great variety of homemade flavors. It is now on my list of places to revisit when Im in the area.

If youre in the area or thinking of a detour. Id highly recommend this one. Excellent homemade ice cream, amazing flavors, and a couple of great big umbrellas for shaded seating area. If youve never been and you dont go youre letting yourself down.

Always look forward to visiting Docs when I travel back to Massachusetts after being out west and not having any homemade ice cream stands around.I recommend the Docs special. Chocolate, banana peanut butter swirl and apple crisp in the late summer are my favorites!

Such a cute little ice cream place with friendly staff and AMAZIBG tasting ice cream. I was in town for 3 days and went here twice. I wanted to go back again but ran out of time. I would highly recommend the grahamtastic flavor! Tastes like Golden Graham cereal!!

I travel the trip because my absolute favorite ice cream, peanut butter moose tracks, is available here! This is the only place in my locality I have found that flavor. They have a smaller place in Brookline NH but the times Ive made the trip there they have been out of the peanut butter moose tracks ice cream. Which was very disappointing to me!

Very slow but friendly service. They seemed understaffed. They wouldnt or couldnt open the big umbrella so there was no shade at all and our family left. The ice cream was good.

Been coming here since I was a kid with my parents. Now, when we visit we bring our kids. Great variety, a few really good flavors you cant find other places.

None of the ice creams have any flavor to them. When ordering a medium cookie dough ice cream I would expect to at least have one piece of cookie dough it in, but I didn’t get a single piece. The ice cream was completely over priced for the poor quality that it is. Some of the ice cream was freezer burnt as well.

Our favorite place to take a ride to. Some of the best, most delicious homemade ice cream. My favorites are the coffee oreo or the black raspberry!

I used to go here as a kid and it was good, but it seems over the years the building has become dilapidated. The soft serve tasted weird (shrimp flavored?), as two of us agreed. My friends cone broke at the bottom and the sides, so he had the deepthroat the ice cream out of a cone funnel then it broke into even more pieces. The staff were rude/bitchy for some reason. There is literally no reason for me to come here ever again. At least the sherbet was good.
